How soon can you guys have your PCs ready?

My caster will take a little longer than Tolus, but bit more than a day. Maybe two.

Actually, let me ask the current party. Do you all have a preference in a caster? Because my ideas right now are leaning toward the really weird. Like the Wyrwood race. :)

Hey, GM Shahyar let me play a gnoll, hard to get weirder than that. What's the old saying "Play what you love, love what you play!" I don't know if that's a saying or not, but you get the idea. As long as your caster can blow the crap out of stuff without catching Gnasher's tail on fire I don't care what you play!

So you don't care as long as I prepare a couple blast spells. Got it. :)

Right now I'm looking at a Conjuration (creation) wizard.

I don't mind odd races, as long as they have a decent reason for being in Katapesh. :)

It matters on how much you guys care about consistency. We could just punt and say that they've been with you from the start or I could find a way to add them as you enter the monastery. Either way works for me.

Gnasher isn't very attentive when it comes to the humans around him: four, five, six, seven, it's all just less than a "litter" to him. Your pick, your the boss ;)

well if we are there from the start i have some reading to do. and i may make some comments on past events (won't change the outcome, just to establish any relationships with NPC's or PC's as applicable)

this will prevent accidentally putting the gm on the spot in the future

however arriving now for the first time does give a little of character introductions.

My preference would be to show up now... maybe a quick 'Almah sent us to help out'?

earlier in the game GM posted that he would react like a human, which seems only fair, no need for an undo advantage.

Oh, Gnasher - too much time amongst the talking monkeys has made you so soft even pugwampis get the better of you!

that's why I would prefer that we try and keep conversations here on the boards. I had similar problems in another game where the GM would not use spoilers but PM's instead and at times it looked like players were making things up as they went along, forgetting that the information was not shared by all

Didn't do it on purpose.

I had a similar situation in another game. A couple of us were on roll20 and the GM gave information. Later his wife who also played a character in the game posted in discussion in bold "If its not said on PBP it didn't happen," I'm betting he got yelled at.

Again I saw the ladder on the map and asked, my immediate post mentioned the ladder.

As for the same perception, I was hoping one of us would get lucky, guess not...just hoping it isn't trapped :)

Redeemed has very little ranged capabilities; if the pugwampis could be brought to the ground floor, he may be able to catch several within a burning hands, which handily doesn't require any d20 rolls. Otherwise he's pretty much relegated to being a meat shield against ranged attacks and healing. Perhaps if someone attacked the beams themselves?

Alright, folks, it's been 8 days since GM Shahryār last posted, so I'm going to consider this game dormant. It's been fun thus far but I'm really looking for something a little more regular pace-wise than this has been, though if the game starts up again sometime soon I'll certainly stick around.

Sorry, everybody. I've been dealing with some personal stuff lately and it's affected my posting in all my games. Every time I think about posting, I say "Nah, I'll get to it tomorrow" and this is where it got us.

So I'm putting the game on hiatus until I find the time and willpower to maybe get it back up again. Thanks to those who played and waited.
