Yeah, but then it leaves the prisoners alone with it while we try and kill the spiders. Like, I really don't care either way, but IC we should probably attempt to keep everyone's attention on us if we want to protect the prisoners.
If we lose, probably means we are underleveled which is outside of our control. Two PC's should be plenty against any spider that isnt of a colossal or gargantuan size.
Like, you can make it 3v1 and 4v3, but either way, that is_massive_action economy advantage. You get extra movement, extra attacks, heck, even positional advantages like flanking. If we were a small party then fair enough, ok, I can understand the argument, but we almost outnumber them 2 to 1, so why not divide and conquer, instead of taking the risk that one of them has sorcerer levels and avoid grouping up for a bigass AoE like Blank Tantacles or Fireball?
The issue I'm worried about is going after the ogres one of them or its some spider variant that just drops a Dominate on you (which f!!%s us), or Black Tantacles, Cloudkill, Fireball, or any AoE ever. Its at a level where we need to be aware of these things - and we dont have a great track record when we cluster vs magic.
Splitting the party in a fight and fighting on 2 fronts at once is a tactical error.
Each time anyone in this group has gone off ahead of others and tried to face something solo, they've only survived because of in combat healing.
Smarter move would be to not provoke the spider and engage the ogres. If they bring the spider into it, fine so be it, but if not, take them out first then the spider. At that point we can attack it from both sides using the tunnel.
If one of us gets dominated, Hold person can take them out of the fight.
If we identify a caster well Hold Person (DC 18), Lipstitch (DC 17), Glitterdust (DC 17 for blindness), Silence (DC 17 if cast on person/held item) can make for a pretty crappy day, especially after a hex drops their saves, and if needed Bestow curse drops them more. At net -6 to saves or -9 if a second hex to drops their Wisdom/ lower Will save, there’s little chance of stopping any of those caster killer spells.
You're right, at this level casters are the big threat. It's what I'm built to deal with.
Okay, can we just calm down a bit and relax. This is just a game, and honestly, I'd rather not be playing in a game where people wind up getting all hot under the collar.
Honestly, I think we could survive a fight with Elisai's plan, but I'd rather stay in a group, if the spider attacks the prisoners, well, we'll just have to deal with that when it comes up.

Yes ShadowLord. Giants are Delendir favored enemy, including the campaign trait. So: +5 (str) +1 (magic bow) +5 (favored enemy) = +11 x2 manyshot = +22 damage on first attack. The others should be half.
I know a couple of you here play Pathfinder Society since you've been in my games before. Is anyone interested in receiving a PFS chronicle sheet for the completion of book two of Rise of the Runelords?
OK, no worries just thought I'd offer it up. It counts as a full module worth of XP (3) and Prestige (4), so it's kind of a big deal. If anyone is interested please send me your PFS ID# you want it applied to.
Yep. All I need the character number to assign it to as well. If you don't have one you can just create one in a few seconds and send it there as placeholder.

I have one, but I haven't played since I graduated five years ago.
Also, I wasn't complaining, just commenting. If you want, you can have them riddle Ragnhildr with holes and she just keeps coming. She'd appreciate the comparison to Juggernaut. :P

So can you put the pfs logsheet onto a character below the level bracket? All I have are 1st levels and I believe the range for the log sheet was 4-7 or some such.

Lol, that'll take a while. I rarely get to play society as the only group I know of travels around the area and only plays close enough when I, naturally, can't be there.
A creature with tremorsense is sensitive to vibrations in the ground and can automatically pinpoint the location of anything that is in contact with the ground. Aquatic creatures with tremorsense can also sense the location of creatures moving through water. The ability’s range is specified in the creature’s descriptive text.
At 3rd level, you gain DR 5/ silver, resist cold and electricity 10, and you no longer have a reflection in a mirror or cast a shadow. You can use beast form II as a spell-like ability (dire rat, dire bat, or wolf) three times per day.
