Ma’Huuk stands impassive through Shelia’s interview with the little goblin. If he’s surprised at the plan, it doesn’t show. All that shows is eagerness to get to take action.

”I will do this thing. Of carrying a goblin in my pack.” He looks down at Ekkie, ”You will be in for a ride, no? Plus,” he shrugs, showing a big, white smile as his dark eyes touch on his fellow pathfinders, ”Pathfinders will show you what a team is that is worth joining.”

Without waiting for anything official, he pulls a crude knife from his belt and begins cutting view-slits in his pack. Happy with his work—despite its messy, ramshackle appearance—he opens it for the goblin to see. ”Two things, little goblin. One? Do not take anything from in here. And two? DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN HERE.”

I”m more or less ready to go smash some oversized gobbo heads. >:D

Ekkie agrees to the terms and climbs about Ma'Huuk express. She leads out back towards town and begins to blabber in more detail about led her here.

"Even out in the swamp, we heard stories about the Nightsoil Marauders-a gang of goblins in the longshanks city. When Murg tried to bite off my ear-again!-1 left the swamp and came to the city to join up. I met some other goblins outside the city and they sneaked me inside. They took me through the smelly tunnels and made me wait outside their lair. An important-looking goblin with a big, dangly hat came out and stared at me. He said his name was Versevosh. I thought he was the boss, but he said that the big boss is much scarier than him. Versevosh said rude things about me and my tribe and said I'd have to prove myself if I wanted to join the gang. He said I'd have to steal shiny things from a tribe of longshanks in the city. He showed me drawings of what to look for."

When Bregan takes them back to the alley she shakes her head no. "The other goblins showed me the way through the smelly tunnels to the horse-killing place. I like that place, 'cause they cut up horses there and you can see their insides and I got lots of dead horse to eat. The goblins said to steal from the big house then go back to the horse-killing place, then they ran off. It was almost sunrise and I could hear longshanks so I hid. Later I sneaked up to the big house and took some shiny things from the small houses, but then you caught me. Ekkie thinks we should go to horse-killing place instead."

Following the directions gleaned from Ekkie's spectacularly inexact and nearly indecipherable hints, you eventually make your way to the Mariska Knackery.

Perception DC15:
On your way into the knackery, you notice the burned remains of a large shed off to one side of the main building.

A short middle-aged human man with a graying walrus-like mustache is wearily pushing a broom in front of the business's main doorway. When he sees that you are approaching him with purpose, he stops, leans the broom against a wall, and rubs his hand down the front of his clean white apron. He clearly doesn't think you've come to buy horse meat.

Indra followed along in amusement at having the goblin in a pack. She listened as the creature told her story and actually felt a small amount of sympathy, no one liked to be treated poorly. As they found themselves at the appropriate place she listened as her companions told a bold lie, it wasn't how she would have handled it but what was done was done. She couldn't help a smirk when Ekkie popped up and the man realized the lie. She stepped forward then and said, "Please calm down sir, I apologize for my companion's deceit, I'm not sure why they didn't speak the truth in the first place. Gaeldrung is caught in a bit of a theological pickle. His charge is to stamp out cowardice wherever it rears its head. This man is walking a knife's edge between that cowardice and tactical responsibility. It is acceptable to not fight if fighting would only cause loss for you and yours. It is not acceptable to refuse to fight when the situation changes. He gives the man a chance.
We will clear out the goblins. They will be no threat when we are done. And you will join us.
He watches the man to gage his reaction. If he rises to the challenge, then Gaeldrung knows his heart is true. If he falters here Gaeldrung will turn his name over to the Church for his cowardice.

Gaeldrung's eyes do not waver from the man. If he is not willing to at least try to remove the threat to his family then he is already dead inside. It would be a mercy to kill him where he stands.

He reaches across and claps Gaeldrung mightily on the shoulder, a strike that would likely send most men sprawling, but only shifts the stout half-orc a half-step.

"I respect your strength, Gaeldrung. But you do not speak for me. And you do not speak for this man. He will choose his actions this day. As will you and I."

He turns with the blow and is instantly in Ma'Houk's face. Of course I don't speak for him. And I have every right to provoke him to action. Cowardice is a disease that spreads as surely as a plague, but faster. You must at least offer them redemption, a chance to not cower before their fear. To leave them is to kill them as sure as a swing of my ax.

"The rogue who walks the roof's edge in the course of his night's work, does nothing extraordinary. The warrior who has trained day in and day out, who knows his sword, ax, or hammer better than they know their own father and mother; to stand against the rising tide of evil is expected and encouraged. The mage, sorcerer, and cleric, they all have devoted their lives to the magic they study, be it divine or arcane; to defend themselves is expected as well when the need calls for it.

then looking at the butcher he continues
But this man is a simple butcher of horses meat, the cleaver he wields is against dead and un-moving flesh. That is a far cry from an ax or sword wielding goblin coming at him in the goblin's cave. To ask the man to follow you there is a far cry from believing he would stand against overwhelming odds if they came after his family."

The man watches the exchange between Ma'Huuk and Gaeldrung silently. He goes to open his mouth once, but has no intention of jumping between them. When they are done speaking his head sags, "I. Once the goblin gives instruction, Ma’Huuk will give the group a chance to make any preparations, then marches into the gloom, spear at the ready.

I don’t think we have anyone in the group that fits a traditional scouting role. Ekkie provides directions and over the next forty-five minutes the group winds it's way through the sewers. As you round the final corner you notice that this place reeks with the rancid smells of goblin habitation but there is some ventilation, making the air less stale than the sewers.

Three goblins are probably standing guard on sentry duty, but are actually playing some game involving a rat, some nails and a wire. Being as your group is not approaching with stealth they take note of you and shout for you to turn around. Ekkie takes note of the group playing with the rat and excitedly says, "Ooooh! Sorry, i missed the AoO noted for it standing up.

includes: power attack, ferocious strike
AoO, spear vs prone & flat-footed: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 6 - 1 = 25 <— crit?
damage: 1d8 + 6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 3 + 1 = 18
— confirm: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 6 - 1 = 25
— add'l damage: 2d8 + 12 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (8, 6) + 12 + 6 + 2 = 34

Ma'Huuk slams his spear down into the goblin as it tries to rise and strike him, impaling the little creature and staking it to the floor.

... which (assuming 52 damage kills it O.o) also clears the other goblins' lane of fire.

That will invalidate my attack, which is fine. Excellent strike.

Gaeldrung moves up next to Ma'huuk with a broad grin on his face. Well struck.

Yah, sorry, I didn't mean to muck things up. I'll pay better attention. :/

remind me not to spar with MaHuuk, although that has to be an excellent exclamation point to Bregan's Intimidate check :)

GM thought I'd updated the map but can't right now from the phone. Bregan should be about 15' in front of yellow

Critting a foe into oblivion isn't mucking things up. I'm not at all upset. I was just noting that fact for clarity.

Technically the AoO happens before Gaeldrung can act. You can redo your action sir.

The poor goblin never even had a chance at regret on his decision to stand before Ma'Huuk splatters the contents of his skull all over the adjacent floor.

Bregan runs past the mess all over the hallway and moves towards the far goblins, having little difficulty in convincing the goblins at the end of the hallway that death was forthcoming. The archer started to shake in fear, but that as much as Bregan noticed before the floor dropped out from underneath him. A 10x15 section of the floor folds down and reveals a trapped pit full of rubbish, refuse and feces.

DC20 Reflex or fall 10' down and take 1d6 damage.

The worst part wasn't even the fall however, a ten foot by ten foot section of the refuse pile suddenly begins to shift and move on it's own. There is clearly something in there.

DC15 Knowledge Nature or DC20 Survival:
The moving pile of refuse apparently has a section of the rare yellowcap mushrooms growing in it.

Relieved at the end of hostilities with the shop owner Indra followed as they made their way down into the sewers. Her nose wrinkled up at the odors that assaulted it as they followed Eckie's directions and she nearly become sick from the stench. Still, she managed to push down her rising gorge and follow. After what felt like an eternity down there they found the goblins they were looking for. She knew she needed to get across the channel between her and the goblins if she wanted to be of any help so she went back to the bend a few feet down the way and then took a running start from a few feet back to get across but at the last instant her foot slipped on a patch of slick gunk and rather than making the jump she landed right in the channel amidst the noxious filth. While she tried to clamp her mouth tightly shut she didn't quite manage it in time and tasted the putrid stream get into her mouth. She came up and vomited into the channel violently, covered in muck.

Bregan!

He began trying not to breath in too much of the filth as he stepped forward, his eyes caught on the flask in the goblins hand. He hummed quickly and sang a quick note... grease exploding from nothing on the ground under the archer and goblin with the flask.

Casting Grease DC 13 Ref if they fail they fall prone
