Thats a pretty great thing you got going on there :D

Thanks man. I thought the image of a very angry goat was too good to pass up. Erny has been pretty fun to RP as well.

It's a very awesome combination, a happy half-orc and an angry goat! :)

But how does Burt rage, is it some kind of ability Burt has that lets a familiar rage? Amplified Rage mentions you need to be adjacent to a raging ally who also has this feat or flanking the same opponent as a raging ally with this feat.

I think it is an ability that familiars can get from the Familiar companion book.

GM - Not to belabor the point, but isn't someone who is tied up pinned? And thus requires a concentration check, and can't cast spells that require somatic components? Sorry if it sounds like I am arguing, but since this is my first time playing a spell caster, I am trying to get my rules straight.

Sheesh, well aren't all you guys raining on my fun parade!

Command only has verbal components, not somatic. The entire gesture was just for the sake of roleplaying, it has no true impact to make him leave the room for a round. If it bothers everyone greatly, tell me who bound them and I'll make the concentration check to go along with it.

Since season 5 secondary success conditions are no longer tied to faction missions, with a few exceptions like Murder of the the Throaty Mermaid left. (In that case the GM has to inform us that the faction missions are the secondary success condition.)

Faction missions are generally just for fun. They add nothing to your rewards for a mission.

I don't think it's cut and dry by any measure, but I looked at a discussion on the boardshttp://paizo.com/threads/rzs2rild?Valet-Familiar-Teamwork-Feats-and-RAGE.

You bring up a good point that it doesn't appear Burt can actually enter a rage.

It's a moot point at any rate, as I planned on re-building the character without a familiar after this adventure ends. I had to give up my 1st level bloodline ability to gain the familiar, so no claws. Which makes dealing damage in a grapple a lot harder.

Shame Burt will have to leave. I liked silly Ernust's silly pet!

I did some more digging around, and it's actually quite a bother to make a familiar rage during combat. The rage spell only lasts 1 round per caster level, and the skald's raging song doesn't count as an actual rage for other effects relating to rage.

No, I feel that's accurate. The last few weeks have been really bad for me and I have been dragging a bit. My apologies!

I don't feel you are the problem GM. I was gone for several weeks and some of us have many days between posts.

In the games I run I give players about 24 hours to post their actions. If some haven't yet posted their actions after that time, I let the other players decide what they do.

I'd say if you don't post anything for 24 hours, you either lose your action or what your character does is decided by the GM.

Just posting this here so I can find it easier.

Honored Subject of the Ruby Prince,
This tale of a shiny black artifact that turns normal rats into large, violent rats sounds disturbingly like an old artifact of Osirion, lost a thousand years ago. Known as the jet rat, this artifact enabled some depraved individuals to create armies of vermin. Should this be the very same artifact, be sure it’s returned to the safe-keeping of the Pathfinder Society Grand Lodge in Absalom. This item is very dangerous and shouldn’t be floating about in the general marketplace. If you happen to find a rat that has been altered by the artifact, take a sample from its body—but do so carefully. Remove the patch of skin and fur on the back of the neck. These must be taken together. Return a sample to me so that we may further understand how this artifact
works.
