GM, do you consider it interesting or cheap to use three dimensions when determining what spells hit? I'm considering having Garri use burning hands on the three remaining enemies on this turn. Kreagor is laying on the ground between them. If Garri can tip the cone up slightly, it won't hit Kreagor, but will hit all the enemies. Would you allow this?

Nope. Brolga is in two of my other games and he's been absent. I shall bot him again to keep it going.

Brolga has been missing for a little bit and Sitko for a longbit. Brolga is playing in a few of my other games and we're giving NOTY another week and a half to appear before we start the talks of replacing him (as GM). I'll throw the same timelines around that here.

We're down from seven to five and I wanted to see what you as players would like to do. I'm fine continuing on with five, or I can go and pick up one more though I don't see the need to go back to seven. I'd like to hit up the players who applied but weren't selected first, do you have any preferences on who you'd like to see (or not see) here?

Although I'm sad to see them go, I think we should be fine to move forward with five. In my experience, increasing number of players only slows down the game and puts more strain on the GM to balance encounters.

I am fine with playing with 5 people, or having you recruit a 6th. If needed I can emphasize Melee combat more (which I might any way looking at the party composition)


I should point out that Garri is not good at melee combat right now, but will be when we get to level 3. I had to tank strength, and he can't take Dawnflower Dervish until level 3. Then he will get dex to hit and to damage with the scimitar.

Okay, so the loot from the assassins didn't seem to get much attention, and I figured I'd mention it here instead of in an ooc post.

This was the total haul,

Potion of cure light wounds x4, antitoxin x6, liquid blade x3, leather armor x6, light crossbow with 10 bolts x6, short sword x6, thieves’ tools x4, beryl, 24 gp

Heres who has spoken for what so far,

I took one set but i may take another as a back up. But I think I'm the only person with disable device, not that my whole +3 bonus will be super useful haha.

EDIT - Just checked actually and I messed up my dex skills. I only have a +2 in disable device, 1 rank + 1 dex.

If it becomes really necessary or something I can take 1 level in Rogue for the class skill bonus and the ability to disable magical traps, though I would rather not have to.

Kreagor's ready to go. I will note that I am skimping on investment in the knowledges since Lialda and Renliat have decent ranks in the necessary ones and I'm kinda trying to cover the disable and stealth area better now that Sitka is no longer our rogue.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for my rage power at level three? I've been trying to find a good group buffing one but can't seem to pick one.

Hey guys, I'm looking for someone willing to play in a game I'm running for a group of newbies. I've taken them through the beginner's box adventure, and now we're going to play the module Murder's Mark using almost exclusively the core rule book. I'm also allowing the unchained rogue, and other things are negotiable. I have my three newbies, but we could use one (or a few) experienced player to round out the party and help them see the rules from the player side.

They are all new players brought into Pathfinder with the Humble Bundle. We started with 6 players, but these three are the ones who kept with the game for 3 months and finished the adventure. I'd rather not do a general recruitment because I want someone I know will help teach rules and keep posting.

I might be interested, not a big fan of core only but I could live with it if needed. What roles are you needing filled?


They have a sorcerer, paladin, and bard. The core only isn't a rigid rule, but more trying to keep things simple rather than jumping right in the deep end for new players.

If you are okay with it I will make up a switch hitting Ranger focused on Archery. Your Paladin gets to be the awesome frontliner then and I can easily keep the sorc/bard safe if they need another meat shield.

Also, if its okay to take the Urban Ranger archetype I can be their locks and traps guy, since that seems to be the least popular role to play.
