LOL, I read that as Manhwa which is the Korean comics. I was like "NO! Not Chinese, Korean." Then I actually read it. Stupid varieties of comics with very similar names. But otherwise I am familiar with Manhua, Manhwa, Manga, Comics, and other forms of Graphic Novels.

Yeah the names are a bit confusing. I got into them after watching movies like "A Man Called Hero," "The Storm Riders," and "Dragon Tiger Gate." Got "Storm Warriors" last year and I'm waiting for "Storm Riders: Clash of Evils" to release over here on DVD to add to my collection. Heard good things about Weapons of the Gods, but I never read it. Hoping to do so soon, though.

Yeah, I forgot about the DR increasing by 1 every five levels. Went back and changed it.

Was meaning to ask this, but are you stopping this once we hit hit 10th level? I ask because that's as far the feats/special abilities table goes. If it is, its cool. Just gives me an idea as to how I may want to level up Xiao as we go along is all.

No, I plan for this to go as far as we can take it. The template that was used goes up to 10th level but I can add in more table room once we get there.

That reminds me, we will be using the Medium XP track.

Will get character updated tomorrow. Sorry, weekend has been very busy with my own tabletop pathfinder games, wife being sick, and death in the family. Will have everything set tomorrow!

Just noticed the new map and everything. Looks pretty sweet I must say, and a projected start right around the release of the Dragon Empires Primer sounds just about perfect...unless the stuff in there is so awesome it makes me want to change my character to use it, but that's not a problem really.

Yeah, I'm still waiting to nail everything down in antisipation of tengu race traits, alternate racial traits, and favored class options. Fingers crossed.

It's helping me to refine Xiao's backstory and in that regard I have a question: what kingdom will we be starting in once this gets underway? The plan is to have his backstory end with him there so I was just wondering.

The Tong Shi Guards will be starting in Tong Shi of course.

The Travelers will be starting in the town north of Erufu, Ling Do. You will be heading through the mountains towards the Tong Shi Kingdom.

By the way we can probably start taking in the discussion page, and I will making this campaign page for the Guards and will be creating a separate campaign page for the other group. We can all still post on each others discussion pages though, as this is still one large game. I just figured two separate threads would make it easier to keep track of.

All 10 character spaces are taken up at the moment. But a few of the characters I am still waiting on posts from, so there may be openings at some point. And if there is enough interest I can form another group.

Here's the concept for my character. I'll try and have mechanics finished tomorrow.

I'll go ahead and post some interest, just to raise the odds of making a third group slightly higher. Mind if I work out a concept, or would you prefer to wait and see if more interest shows up before you dig through more concepts?

You are welcome to work on a concept. And at this moment I am looking for two backups, one for the guards and one for the travelers, as a character in each hasn't posted yet.

I have wandered the Dragon Empires for over a decade now. I once served Lord Hiritoshi, vassal of the Great Dragon. Life was as the greatest poet's dream. But dream's cannot last.

War claimed him, as it did many of my friends and allies. I became ronin that day, shamed as I was. For these past years my only companion has been my sword, Black Sparrow, and my only wish its mastery. Sometimes, it seems hard to keep track of the enemies my blade has slain. Yet still, despite the weight of their souls hanging over me, I search for that warrior that can defeat me. A duelist of perfect form, one who will finally grant me the death that I have sought since my lord perished on the field of Inomikata, the Field of Fallen Flowers.

Sounds very interesting, though the game doesn't take place within the Dragon Empires, it takes place in a homebrew world. The theme can stay the same.

You would probably fit best in with the Travelers.

Chozzek, Tengu Cleric/Gunslinger:

Being raised in the slums that Tengu are often relegated to and a witness to the insulting ignorance the world displays about my people has ingrained in me a need to prove to the world the greatness of my people. I strive to be a paragon of Tengu skill, a master, not at thieving and trickery, but in the betterment of the world. Wherever life leads me does not matter as long as my efforts are consistently my best.

Scratch the gunslinger part. I'll do it more as flavor. Do you allow archetypes and alternative energy channeling?

Anything from a Paizo Publication yes, I am allowing Dreamscarred Press Psionics as well, anything else just ask. Just state the source, if I have it I will take a look, if not I will ask to see it and tell you a yay or nay.

I am a big supporter of 3P material so most will be a yay if it doesn't break stuff or if it isn't just cheese.

So really it all depends on what you want to use.

And as a note, the opening is for a special guard for a kingdom, kind of like modern days secret service but for an Asian Steampunk kingdom. So when designing your character take that into consideration.
