Feel free to start interacting and roleplaying with one another, we will start once everyone has their character ready

Sat in the office of Ambrus Valsin, venture-captain of the Pathfinder Society and harasser of the newbies you await for the Captain to speak. He looks you all up and down for a moment before pulling out a Journal from his desk drawer and placing it on a table in front of you.

"We received word from an Explorer associate of ours Ulisha that she had come across a valuable Relic known as the Silverhex and she wishes to sell it to the Society."

Ambrus breathes out a sigh before continuing.

"That is where things get tricky, we sent agents to the agreed meeting place but Ulisha did not show, it would appear that she has got in some trouble with the nobility of her homeland is now on the run. Our agents however, did find this journal with six promising leads, which would give us ampl opportunity to explore more finds before we purchase the Silverhex. Your task is to investigate the finds in the journal and then meet up with Ulisha to purchase the Silverhex on behalf of the society. Clear?"

Journal entry #1 - the Mausoleum:

The only thing worse than working for a Galtan nobleman is working for two Galtan noblemen—in my case, Lords Tullivor and Sarvio, both of whom are happy only when the other is not.

I made a tidy sum recovering their heirlooms, but when Laban Tullivor tasked me to steal a platinum chalice belonging to the Sarvios, I took my leave (and the cup), and they’ve been hounding me since. Now Laban’s deceased, and it’s rumored his mausoleum in Gralton’s cemetery harbors a treasure.

I hope you’ll not balk at tomb-robbing. Remember, these are aristocrats. I say, a plague on both their houses.

Hesitating to make sure the pause means the Captain is done speaking, "Hi, I'm Haska." the thin, fair skinned elf with light blond hair addresses the group of adventurers, making a point to look each one int the eyes. "I have not been a pathfinder long and look forward to traveling with you all."
"Captain Valsin, thank you for this opportunity. I hope I can help and that we successfully find this Ulisha person."
As Haska shifts back his attention to the Captain, slight clinking of glass vials and a slosh or two of liquid can be heard coming from is backpack.

Marius Sabretasche reaches quickly for the journal with a speed surprising for his age and girth, barely pausing to consider whether the Captain was ready to part with it, and begins pouring over the contents; twirling his heavily oiled and lengthy mustache as he reads.

"Hmmm .. good Captain, these names are not familiar to me. Is there anything further you are able to tell us about Explorer Ulisha and these lords?"

Ambrus looks at Marius, almost surprised at his quick reflexes before coughing to compose himself. Listening intently to the questions he frowns slightly before answering them.

"Ulisha is someone we have had dealings with in the past, she calls herself an 'explorer' though she is often no more than a hired thief, as her Journal there tells you. The nobles are an unknown to us I am afraid, but hopefully you should discover more on your travels.

If Ulisha is telling the truth and does have the Silverhex, then it is something we dearly wish to examine, if it is all a ruse then I hope you find something useful on your travels. We have a ship booked for you in the morning to take you to Galt, good look agents."

Aleric Grins as everyone introduces themselves. The man is a lean and scrappy youth, dressed in a sturdy shirt and breeches underneath a simple studded leather vest and bracers. A bandanna covers his forehead and several charms dangle from his braided hair, Varisian to those who recognize the look. His boots are worn and a bit dirty. Crossed at his lower back are a pair of short swords.

He gives a bow with a flourish of his hands as his turn arises.
"My name is Hawke." he starts. "Aleric Hawke, to be precise. Pleased as punch to be working with you all, I'm sure." he croons with just a bit of rakish charm.

"I've not been long in the Society, but I hope this job proves to be the springboard to greater things!" Aleric exults, giving a wink and standing at ease. "So tell us, where shall we be going first?"

A slim, just-under-average height Kelishite, Khismia frowns slightly at the journal's disrespectful tone towards nobility. "Hmph, this Ulisha sounds like a cad, but a dead Galtan noble can hardly complain. We should try to be better than common thieves though. Does Ulisha expect us to trade this treasure she mentions for the Silverhex, or is this simply a tip out of the goodness of her heart?" She leans back against the wall, one hand resting on the hilt of her estoc. The threads on her cobra-patterned silk armor glisten as she contemplates the mission.

Khishima thinks about all that they have learned regarding magical aretfacts but mention of the Silverhex is brief, a millenia old relic connected to an ancient Druidic cult and the Druids are a fearfully private sort.

Ambrus nods thoughtfully at the rest of the questions posed by the agents, obviously considering his answer before replying. He does smile at the Kelishite's deductions.

"Yes, Ulisha is a Cad and much more beaides, but she has had a good relationship with the pathfinders. No, the treasure found in the journal is a 'gesture of good faith' that she is interested in the deal, the Society will purchase the Silverhex and money will be provided once she has been located.

The ship in the morning will take you to Graltan, a city in the river kingdoms that is a haven for the Noble refugees of Galt. Go to the mausoleum there and hopefully you should start finding answers."

If you have more wuestions or purchases, feel free. I will move on to Gralton in a few hours when i'm back home to give Grimdog a chance to introduce themselves ^^

Ok, you do have chance for any last purchases before you head out, but I will move along

Ambrus shrugs heavily at Sabretasche's last question before directing them out of his office.

"I know little else I am afraid, what I know is in that Journal there, but as you all should know by now Explore is one of our key principles."

The next morning, you awaken sluggishly and gather your meagre belongings, trudging through the mostly abandoned streets of Absalom to the Dock district where your ship to the River Kingdoms awaits. A sleek, war galley with black sails and no flag awaits you. The side of the ship declares the name as Archon's Shadow and the Captain, a pale haired Half-elf with tanned skin and a tasteless red bandanna greets you.

"Salutations and well met! Well let us be off with ya!"

The journey across to the River Kingdoms is fairly uneventful and soon you are travelling towards Graltan on a river boat. As you and ashore the place is hardly bustling but the city is sizable. It is easy to spot the graveyard atop the hill in the distance.

With everyone gathered and Marius dashing off for last minute supplies, to the joy of the local alchemist who sees rare custom around here, you make your way to the cemetary, Aleric could be likened to a hunting dog the way their focused eyes scan the area for trouble.

Despite being a fairly small city, the Cemetary of Graltan is a grand and ostentatious affair, seemingly allowing for the deceased Galtan nobility to show off their wealth one last time in death. The gates to the cemetary are ajar and no guards block your way, Aleric searches for a moment but finds no hint of trap or tribulation and waves you in.

Knowledge Local, DC 10:
For a cemetary to be open and no guards is an odd practice in any city.

Entering the Cemetary, you look for the Tulliver mausoleum when something catches your eyes. Across the cemetary, a figure seems to be slumped over a marble plinth, possibly in a drunken stupor, or something more nefarious...

The group huddle and speak in whsipers, all the while the figure ahead does not seem to notice your presence. With such a cloudy evening, all but Haska have a hard time making out any true details of what is happening. Haska sees no movement from the man and the cemetary seems clear.

Marius speaks to the man, this close he sees that the man wears an elegant outfit, denoting his place in high society but is not moving and his face is pale. Marius also notices that his posture over the Marble seems unnaturally still and a dark substance is on the marble below and that his hands seem bound by rope.

knowledge nobility:
The badger is the symbol of the Tullivor Family, you deduce this may well be the recently deceased Lord's heir, Northis
