Specifically, I believe barding is armor for mounts... I'll have to double-check its status for animal companions and the like.

Yes, you'd have to spend the feat on proficiency before you could wear the armor without major drawbacks.

Incidentally, aren't panthers normally medium-sized...? I haven't actually run too many of them, so I should probably brush up on the rules for that. XD

Fair enough, but Shalluk isn't religiously trained. He isn't even really fully aware of how or why he has his powers. His backstory didn't allow any one teaching him.

There is the charge action (move anywhere from 10 to double your normal movement rate in a straight line, make a single attack at +2 to hit & -2 to act)

I resolve things in the order they're posted, not the initiative order rolled. If the party's creative, this is something you can actually use to your advantage. Your opponent did have to drop her invisibility to cast the hex, and is currently visible.

For what it's worth, Tanwen was still in round 1, your action was your round 2 action :), so if you want to go by initiative, Tanwen did go before you, as you already did your round 1 action.


Generally, the way I actually resolve things, the enemy's turn is always the end of a round. XD It helps with the bookkeeping.

(So, say, maybe Tanwen and Shalluk go, then the enemy. That's Round 1. The entire party goes again, then the enemy again, and that's Round 2. Makes it easier than trying to 'split' things - which are resolved in the order they're posted - online.)


@Cale: I'm still waiting for you to format your profile properly and edit your stat bar to match those that the others have. The sooner you can do that, the better.

Ok, so since the ACG has been errata'd, I have a question regarding slashing grace, the feat I pretty much have to get. The following line has been added to the feat: "You do not gain this benefit while fighting with two weapons or using flurry of blows, or any time another hand is otherwise occupied." Naturally, Tanwen does not flurry or fight with two weapons, but she does utilize a buckler, would you rule that that counts for the hand being occupied?


No. The buckler is strapped to the forearm, and you are explicitly permitted to do other things with that hand (albeit sometimes at a reduced effectiveness). Unless you're doing something special with that buckler - like somehow finding a way to make shield bashes with it - I don't think it should count as occupying the hand.

I cannot find any evidence that we posted level up summaries for review last time. Tanwen's level up was fairly simple however.

+11 HP (1d10+1)
Arcane Reservoir max increased to 5, and daily amount at the beginning of the day increased to 4, not that I have any use for it yet...
Reflex and Will both got a +1 increase to their base.
Gained the class ability, Nimble, resulting in +1 AC and Touch AC.
Gained an additional 0th level slot, prepared Open/Close.
Gained an additional 1st level spell per day.
Gained 1 Bab, increasing CMB and CMD.
Gained Slashing Grace (Falcata), resulting in +1 to hit and +1 damage since both now rely on dex rather then str.
Gained two additional first level spells in Tanwen's Spellbook, Darting Duplicate and Keep Watch.
Gained the same favored class bonus as usual, Add +¼ to the cavalier's banner bonus.
Gained the same skills as level 1 and 2: Acrobatics, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Planes), Profession (Harlot), Sense Motive, Spellcraft, and Survival each have 3 ranks now.

Since Sandpoint is such a small town, I figured I'd ask if Tanwen can find any of the following:
