"Let's get some of that food and let the goblins have the rest. Then we can push on to Trollhelm and get out of this frozen wasteland."

Freire picks up the Wooden Holy Symbol of Gorum and puts it in his belt pouch. He softly sings to himself.

"Life is very short, and there's no time

He shakes his head and moves to the dining room.

Purnel takes the keys from the ravens and Enrik and locks them all in this storeroom tied up. Tanbu takes a little food and packs his things to move.

"We need to get to Trollhelm without anymore stops."

After the party takes their fill of the food, Tanbu turns to Ehm saying
"Ehm, can you feed the goblins and get them ready to move?" "I think you should only give them a little as they may eat themselves to death."

Aye, I can be doin' that. I may give them a little more, just to stop them complaining for more food for a while. But certainly not enough to kill them.

"They seemed to have behaved when we needed them too, a little extra food seems warranted," Lutorinus adds in. "We should at least conduct a cursory investigation of the stable before departing. Leaving enemies at our rear is foolish. I need but a moment." Leaving our foes alive and with superior transportation is unwise, but perhaps one of those matters can be solved...

Lutorinus will take his time and stealthily approach the stable. Once there, he will see if he hears anything beyond horses. If he hears more people, he will report back. Otherwise, he will search the place.

Stealth take ten is 22, Perception is 20. I just noticed that there is an outhouse on the map. I appreciate the attempt at realism!

"Little fire thrower, there's no one in the stables." answers the prisoner.

After securing the prisoners with ease, the goblins are more than happy to scarf down a meal. Spouting a few intermittent praises for the little ones that saved them, they are unusually quiet.

Lutorinus finds four horses secured in the stable and tackle for each. Little else of note is located.

Feel free to finish up anything here before going on - Lutorinus, I wish I could take credit for the outhouse, but it was paizo. I loved it too when I first read through this scenario

You manage to travel the remaining distance to Trollhelm without incident. The goblins continue to remain uncharacteristically quiet for the journey. Perhaps the recent brush with death has caused them to consider their own mortality? Perhaps they are just tired? Giving a brief summation to the extraction team, they begin to hustle the goblins along. With a last worried glance over their shoulder to your group, the small prisoners say one word in unison. "Tanks!" and succumb to their new leaders. Immediately they start berating the new team with desperate cries for food and sleep. Informing them of how your group refused to allow them food in the previous days.

Just a few hundred feet away, stand the gates of Trollhelm proper. The customary guards stand watch at the front gate.

And...what do you do now?

Why is it I have this feeling that something is going to go wrong? It can't be that easy. Just arrive, hand over the goblins, and walk off.

"A drink would be wonderful." "Then we should go speak with the authorities of this territory." Sunnendel Elbows the Half-Orc in the thigh. "Need to report that rogue military group that wanted to kill the goblins, and us, to the Castellan of Trollheim."

After the drink Sunnendel attempt to make contact with whomever is in charge. Possibly even the man/woman who gave permission to trek across this Trollheim.

Freire wonders aloud. "Why aren't they interested in knowing we were attacked by our supposed allies?"

Freire nothing seems out of place. They have their orders and your issue doesn't affect their orders. Hence their lack of caring. ;-)

It's easy enough to find the Blackraven headquarters. A pair of stout armor clad men stop you at the door.

"What business have you? Freyr Darkwine is much too busy to see pathfinders right now. Though I can take any message you have to the commander."

Tanbu steps forward and says, "There is no easy way to say this. We had an issue coming across your border from Irissen. We are pathfinders and our passage was coordinated with Freyr Darkwine. We were ambushed with the intent of killing our prisoner charges. Your man Enrik Ironclaw and his girl, a cleric of Gorum, set a feast out to distract us while two of their blarkravens set to kill our prisoners. We lucky checked on the prisoners but were then set upon. We were able to disarm and subdue 3 of the 4 but Enrik was regretfully killed in the struggle. We left the guard in the storeroom in stable condition and tied up. But we need to inform you of the unguarded state of that border area with no guards in position anymore."

Tanbu waits for a reply and any questions the commander my have. He answers them to the best of his knowledge.

Tanbu smiles. "Ehm, Freire, Lutorinus, and Sunny, I hope to see you all around. I leave for warmer climates tomorrow early." "Fare you well, should we not see each other again." "I am glad to have been in your company and I know I am the better for it." "Au revoir."

Tanbu gathers his things and makes for the door.

Ehm is busy trying to add something to his drink that will let him get drunk quicker to forget the smell of goblins. He finally notices the leave taking and looks up, Huh? What? Oh yes. Good show all of you. Best met. Well luck to you. Bad joss to your enemies. Whatever... He trails off into a mutter going back to his packets of chemicals.
