well if Findlay didn't put up his Antimagic Field the first round, he sure as hell wants it the 2nd round: so in addition to the Magic Missile, he uses all four charges from his Legendary Item to power

Hadjii becomes an ordinary man as he runs through the AntiMagic Field, then turns back into a huge air elemental after he passes Hemket; he flies to where he hopes he is not seen, and starts conjuring -- using his prepared Summon Nature's Ally VIII -- to bring in a Purple Worm next round...

(worms don't have necks!)

I just realized you were trying to change your disintegrate to anti-magic field. I'm not doing anymore rewinding on mistakes on both sides. If you wanna say that was your action this round fine, but we're not going back in rounds.

So top of the round Hemket picks up bow and shoots him once, Can can make his full attack, and then the Anti-magic Field will go off.

I had indeed noted the rather limited radius...for this round, Findlay will stick with protecting the archer and the oracle from the fiend's heinous magics...

I sure hope the fighter is as tough as he needs to be!

Busy weekend folks. It appears everyone is leveled and ready to go. I should be able to get the next part rolling today, but I am very busy at work this morn so it will likely be lunch time before I can post.

After settling yourselves down you head to the Inner Scantum of Doom! You take the 100' shaft down from the main area and upon entering you see..

"A large crack mars the floor of this expansive chamber, running from the west side to the east side, where the crack splits in two. Eight tower-like structures of glass and metal rise from square pits in two rows, their gears and other mechanical contrivances in ceaseless motion. Plumes of pinkish smoke rise from the one furthest to the southwest, however, and it shudders every few seconds. A corridor exits the hall to the east, and a dark stone blocks bars passage to the west. An audible thrum resonates through the chamber, and a sweet, burning odor floats in the air."

The ceiling is 30' high. You all can make Know Arcana or Spellcraft checks.

The area to the southwest looks cloudy like maybe there's a fog or gas present..

As the pup moves down the corridor blue-white vapors waft from one the engines, slowly coalescing into a feminine form.

Telepathically you all hear.

“Greetings, mortals,” a telepathic voice whispers. “You now stand in the beating heart of the Sky Pharaoh’s innermost sanctum. I am Sehela, engineer of the Shory, bound to this great flying hulk for more years than I am willing to count. I presume it is you who brought down the pyramid and who contest the will of Hakotep the Wicked, Hakotep the Warmonger, Hakotep the Incomplete...”

The ethereal outline winks out for a moment, then reconstitutes in the more substantial form of a short, wizened Garundi woman, leaning heavily on a walking stick twice as tall as she is. Her face is a map of wrinkles, her back is crooked, and her hands are twisted with arthritis. In tone of curt annoyance she adds, “Took you long enough.”

She hobbles over to the nearest generator and taps at some sluggish gears with her walking stick, but it passes through the machinery. She seems irritated, making a strange gesture in the air with her free hand.

“Forgive me, I’m just a disembodied spirit, but it’s hard to break old habits. Would one of you mind banging on this for me?”
