holy crap! I had not seen this little tidbit...

well in that case:

instead of just a moment, Hadjii will squeeze in Logos' space for a full minute -- maximizing use of his suddenly soft, spongy gloves to observe in detail what lies beyond the door!

he whispers the details quietly to those adjacent (and the big guy he's sharing a square with, of course)

if you've ever had a dog around, you know how they sometimes "enter your space" and lean against your knees -- practically knocking you down while they demand affection...

sadly, RP-wise Hadjii is typically very accommodating of others wishes -- so he doesn't force the spell on his companion once the hand goes up. He'll save the MP, and just cast the prepared Echolocation on himself. Feeling obliged to get his own senses into the room -- and keep his promise to Hemket -- Hadjii pushes in ahead of Marius as Logos moves forward...

I've placed Hadjii's marker in the room where I expect him to go *after* Logos enters -- it's not like he's the type to push past the front-liners! I'm just loath to move another player's token in a situation like this...

if Logos decides not to move in for some reason, ignore Hadjii's token in the room, and assume it's still behind that corner where he started.

also note that if Logos *does* enter the room, Hadjii is spider-climbing on that wall where I placed his token, about 8' up -- he's a wolf-spider!

You are not aware of anything before crossing the into the room so im confused as to why you know to dispel magic..

Logos steps into the room but see's nothing more than already visible..

After Hadjii follows he see's the room shift in pattern.. An obvious illusion is up masking the room's occupants.. Now visible he see's 6 Maftet's wielding double scimitars on the ground/air and a different dressed one flying 20' up that is large.. It is at this point Hadjii could call out for a dispel magic I suppose..

Ard casts the spell and the effect goes away.. It is at this point several readied actions go off.. The one most worrisome is the Blade Barrier that springs to life across the doorway.. It completely blocks entrance without teleport/dispel or the like and Hadjii and Logos need to make a reflex save..

Dam: 12d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1, 6, 6, 2, 6, 3, 2, 3, 1, 1) = 36 DC 25 to negate.. If you fail you will take damage again moving out. If you succeed you may move towards the baddies and are safe round 1 from it..

The other 6 Maftets cast Cat's Grace on themselves..

Logos takes a step forward and to the side, and as he does, his face contorts and he screams in rage, and his body swells, foot landing ten feet away with a single step, as he grows in the blink of an eye to over 10 feet tall. Massive claws slide out of his hands and he unloads on the Maftet cowering behind the corner!

He's going from 5ft to 10ft square, so he 'grows' out toward the maftet, then takes a 5ft step to end up out of the blade barrier and next tot he maftet, spending MP to avoid PA penalties.

Ok Hadjii successfully dispels the blades of death, but takes 36 damage from it.. He then summons an air squadron to attack the leader and a maftet..

The one on the Maftet hits twice with a crit.. The two on the leader manage 2 potential hits..

Dam: 7d6 + 42 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 6, 6) + 42 = 67 Minus 35 from DR it takes 32 damage.. They look at their weapons and then at the elemental..

On Logos: 12d20 ⇒ (18, 11, 16, 13, 17, 2, 17, 4, 6, 2, 15, 2) = 123 6 hits, 5 potential crits.
Confirms: 5d20 ⇒ (6, 9, 11, 6, 16) = 48 all of which confirm, but one is still only a hit since the initialy + to hit wasn't high enough to hit without a crit..

Dam Logos: 6d6 + 36 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 5, 4, 2) + 36 = 63
Crit Dam: 4d6 + 24 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 6) + 24 = 34

Your not dead.. And it was 2 things pouncing you.. It's not like yall haven't fought these things before and seen this tactic. There was ample time to cast defensive spells and yet again very little was done. Yalls group CR is around 15 so don't plan on things getting any easier, especially on boss fights..

Hadjii will scurry down the wall and over to Logos, using the Rod of Quicken Spell to cast one of his prepared Stoneskins on the big lug as a swift action. This uses his last dose of 250gp of granite and diamond dust.

(I sure wish Logos had purchased a few doses of granite and diamond dust himself, and asked Hadjii to use 'em first thing -- with Enduring Blessing, Stoneskin lasts all day (or until 110 points of damage is blocked...). Hadjii is not willing to fund all castings of Stoneskin out of his own budget, however...)

for his standard action, Hadjii will ready an action -- if the enemy caster starts to cast a spell, Hadjii will attempt to use a Mythic Point to disrupt the casting with Greater Dispel Magic...

for his final activation of the fabulous Rod of Quicken Spell, Hadjii will cast his prepared Greater Dispel Magic as a swift action -- hoping for a another decent roll -- to negate the wind wall that is negating Hemket...

for his standard action, Hadjii will once again ready an action and a Mythic Point to dispel any casting by cornered mage...

as a free action, in Auran, he asks the nearby elemental (freshly healed by Marius's channel) to help the one in the corner -- he says to ignore the other maftets. The Elemental provokes AoOs from two as it flies directly forward (over or under the one in front of him, and under Kin), then a diagonal at the end of its move -- thus avoiding the maftet on the paladin. He skims along the floor to come up UNDER the enemy caster, setting up flanking with the elemental above:
