Charisma Rerolls: A PC can spend a Harrow Point to reroll a Charisma-based check. She must abide by the new result (although if she has additional Harrow Points remaining, she can use them to attempt additional rerolls).

Destiny Shall Not Be Denied: A PC can spend a Harrow Point as an immediate action to force the GM to reroll a d20 roll. She must abide by the new result (although if she has additional Harrow Points remaining, she can use them to force additional rerolls).

Psychic Wrath: A PC with levels in a class that grants bonus spells based on her Charisma score can spend a Harrow Point to increase the power of a spell from that class’s spell list as she casts it. She increases the spell’s DC by 2 and gains a +4 bonus on caster level checks to overcome spell resistance and a +2 bonus on attack rolls for that spell.

Roll Card: Gain a +2 bonus on all Charisma-based checks. In addition, he treats his caster level as if it were 1 higher when casting spells gained from a class that grants bonus spells based on his Charisma score.

Ayako hobbles up and whispers a sibilant phrase that carries across the room to the shadow beneath the jester's feet. Two inky hands reach up and try to grasp her legs.

Shadow Trap

Sebastian, round down to -3 Str. She's actually not much of a caster either and only lasts 2 rounds.

Round 2

Jolistina jumps out of the way of Iolana's cold ray.

Ooh Shadow Trap. I like that spell.

Jolistina's Will save DC 14: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

She hops again out of the way of the shadowy hands reaching for her feet. And dodges a third time away from Sebastian's attack as well.

Jolistina takes 23 damage.

"Enough of this! By the power of Abadar, I smite you!" Lucien's sword glows with holy energy as he shoves the seated corpse out of the way and slashes into the harlequin. Bizarrely the elf throws her head back and moans in ecstasy from the wound.

Zombie 1's Slam vs. Sebastian's AC 21: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Zombie 3's Slam vs. Sebastian's AC 21: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Zombie 4's Slam vs. Sebastian's AC 17: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Two zombies reach up at Sebastian but he stomps on their fingers. The third throws a weak punch at Ayako that doesn't even come near her.

Jolistina performs a magician's trick, twisting her wrist and producing a glass orb in her hand seemingly out of thin air. She crushes the orb and the air around her fills with opaque black smoke. The smoke grants her concealment as she flees out of the room (so no AoOs). You all hear the northern doors which lead back into the Grand Hall open, and Iolana is on the edge of the smoke and can see Jolistina running north across the hall. Her wound is also bleeding profusely and leaves a trail of fresh blood in her wake.

"I'd love to stay and play, but you are too rough. It'd be a real shame if the party ended early."

You're all up.

Round 3

Iolana's ray hits Jolistina in the back and she staggered forward a step arching her back. "Like the cold embrace of death. I likie!" she laughs.

Ayako's holy water burns away the corrupted flesh of the zombie at the head of the table until it no longer has enough muscle to keep standing. The splash sizzles against the nearby zombie as well.

Zombie 4 is destroyed. Zombie 3 takes 1 damage.

Sebastian and Lucien give chase, swiping at her heels but neither is able to hit her.

The two remaining zombies stagger around the table towards the girls, one towards Iolana and one towards Ayako, but are unable to take any further action.

Jolistina cartwheels (literally) through the next room, (avoiding AoOs) and ducks through the door to the east.

The men get a better look into the northern room now that they are closer.

Two dead nobles wearing matching lion and lioness masks sit before the empty fireplace, with a third zombie dressed as a peacock and holding a silver serving tray attending them.

"Quite the menagerie, wouldn't you say? Hold off these guys while mama catches her breathe, won't you?"

I'll just add these zombies into the current initiative as 5, 6, and 7. You're all up again.

Sebastian's Strength comes back as the ray of enfeeblement spell ends.

Round 4

Yes, you can crit with ranged touch spells.

The zombie spasms as Iolana shocks it with positive energy but it resumes it lurch forward once the attack fades.

When Sebastian enters the next room, he does't immediately see her but the only other door out is still closed. However, a fresh trail of blood goes to the center of the room and stops. She's probably invisible again.

The disrupted zombie unfazed by its injured, steps forward and clobbers Iolana in the shoulder for her efforts. Iolana takes 8 damage.

The peacock zombie steps up to Lucien and attacks, forgetting it was holding a tray, scattering wine glasses and hor d'oeuvres everywhere. It is enough to distract Lucien and hit him in the face. Lucien takes 9 damage.

The other two, simple continue their endless shuffle forward.

Sebastian hears the patter of feat as the southern door opens and she continues her flight.

A zombie dressed as a blue-winged angel strums a large, standing harp—unfortunately all of the harp’s strings are broken. Four costumed corpses—a sea serpent, a castle tower, a swan, and a blue skeleton—look on from chairs.

The western door of that room opens as she keeps running.

Only the harpist is another zombie. The rest are just corpses.

You're up again.

As Jolistina escapes again, Sebastian feels his blood boiling as his frustration mounts. Stop! Master Orisini's voice fills his head, just as it had filled his ears so many times during lessons. Sebastian knew the lecture by heart, had heard it more times than he could count. Instead of replaying it one more time so he could ignore it yet again, he yields. If she wanted to escape, she would have. It is better to follow her lead and wait for an opening to strike than to waste energy running around like a madman. The thoughts are his own, but it's Orisini's voice that provides the counsel. Do not abandon your friends to chase your enemies alone. Stick close to them, and you will face the challenges ahead together.

Sighing, Sebastian relents, and instead of continuing to pursue the mad clown, he returns to the other room to help his friends finish off the undead.

Stepping up next to Lucien, he switches his rapier for his dagger again, slashing out at the peacock.

Iolana's sheet of ice coats the zombies in its cone, freezing both solid and they tip over with a loud 'thunk'. Both zombies are destroyed.

Since the zombies on the bottom are gone, I'll chance Ayako's attack to the zombies on the top, unless you'd like to do something else.

Ayako's holy water splashes between the two noble zombies in melee with the men causing minor damage. Zombies 5 and 7 take 1 damage.

Sebastian slashes deep into the peacock zombie. It staggers but hangs onto a small fragment of unlife. Zombie 7 takes 9 damage.

There are more through here. She seems to want us to follow the trail." He makes his way back through the door, resigned to having to wade through the house of horrors one room at a time.

Sebastian shoots Ayako a dirty look. "I wouldn't be caught dead in that thing." Upon reflection, he realizes what he's just said. "Poor choice of words."

Cleaning and sheathing his blades, he looks around at the different bodies. The mansion was truly a grisly scene. In the heat of battle it had been easy to overlook, but the place was an absolute slaughterhouse. It was almost enough to make him want to vomit as he looks disgustedly over at the hideous harlequin's corpse. "What kind of madwoman does all of this? She didn't seem like some mere necromancer." Sebastian remembers for a moment their encounter with Vreeg. "She was even worse than that derro!"

he said something about she would be raised as a zombie, perhaps said person took part in this slaughter. If we question her spirit, we might find answers. Ayako looked around the area and sighed. I doubt the guard can spare people to clean this place up.

12:40 pm – 10 Abadius 4709 AR
Carowyn Manor

The left room appears to be an office. The right room is a bathroom.

The center room is an elaborate bedroom. A zombie stands in the center of this room dressed as a Galtan queen, her sprawling pearl-studded gown flowing around her and her elaborate, powdered wig nearly brushing the ceiling. A second zombie—dressed as a Quadiran princess—attends her.

Knowledge (Nobility) DC 15:
This zombie is what remains of Olauren Carowyn, one of the owners of Carowyn manor, along with her husband Ausio Carowyn.

No need for an additional combat. Just decide what you want to do with them.

So far, no sign of the man, Ruan, that you are looking for.

Ayako sighs, and with the others uses her sickle to end the zombie's existences.

Lucien stops Ayako before she can put the zombie existence to an end. "These zombie are what remains of Olauren Carowyn, one of the owners of Carowyn manor, and her husband, Ausio Carowyn" he explains as he consults a tome he pulled out from his bag. "With that said, I think we should still put an end to their pain. Being an undead is only a pale shadow of true existence. We have the chance to liberate Lady and Lord Carowyn from this curse. Let me do this personally, please".

After saying that, and if no one stops him, Lucien executes the undead while whispering a prayer to Abadar for their souls.

Maybe I wrote that funny. It is just Olauren Carowyn and an attendant here. Ausio must be somewhere else.

Well, I guess we should check the rest of the estate for undead, no sense letting them be a threat to the city. Ayako will search with the others.

None of the other rooms on the 1st floor are particularly interesting, nor do they have any more undead luckily.

Heading downstairs you come across a cellar. A well-stocked wine rack and several large casks line the walls of this stuffy cellar. A small wooden door squats in the southeastern corner.

The door is locked and when you try it, you hear a scared voice on the other side, "Go away! Leave me alone! I don't want to be a zombie!"

A bottle of wine accidentally falls into Ayako's backpack.

A survivor?

"We aren't zombies, and we won't make you one. We want to help. Who are you? Will you open the door?"

Need to work on that a little, Iolana. Oh please sir, we defeated the mean zombies and the foul elf who made them. We were sent by a lady who wanted us to find her artist brother who came to this estate and didn't come back.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

Just toss in, 'I am Shelyn who is personally rescuing you.'

"I'm still a little peeved at the elf. That bolt hurt. I hope whatever it is doesn't try to eat us."

The door unlocks with a 'click' and a frightened noble peers through the crack. He brandishes a dull paint knife in his shaking hand. You can see, within, among the painting supplies, is a tawdry-looking divan, a small shrine to Shelyn, several scandalous portraits of Mrs. Carowyn, and Mr. Carowyn himself. The man bears a striking resemblance to the paintings and must be Ausio Carowyn himself.

"T-they're gone? Well good on you. My wife; is she okay...?"

Oh, I thought you were Deyanria's brother Ruan. Um.. I am terribly sorry, but we came across the remains of Olauren who fell victim to a mad harlequin
