Adriano looks around at the wounded "By the light of the Dawnflower, heal those whom I travel with easing their pain"
Channel Positive Energy 4/5 left 1d6 ⇒ 2 Hit Points only

Sorry, Adriano, Varash was -10 hp, with -2 below zero for a total of -12 hp shown on the map. So if you want to take back 4 of those Rebuke Deaths, since they would be above "0", you can.
Gelik is healed by your channel energy, as is Sasha for 2 hp. The numbers on the map are from "total", not "0".
(Showing the +2 hp channel energy on the map.)

The point of almost three feet of steel came down squarely on the underside of the crustacean, sinking several inches into its' body. The sea scorpion gushed fluid over the blade and sand. (Coup de grace.) "-now dead." Ishirou said succinctly, and pulled his katana free, standing straight again.
Adriano Fierro |
Ok, I will take those back and He will move more in the middle of Sasha and Varash and cast another Channel Positive Energy adjusted him on the map
Adriano walks closer to his wounded comrades and calls for the Dawnflower's healing power a second time. CPE: 1d6 ⇒ 6

(Hoping Noel is still here and comes in later. Shevan needs a roll as well.)
(Nobody took twenty? We're out of melee, hint hint. Try again, guys. Communicate, too.)
It's a sunny, cloudless day. Although the women (and NPCs) can find all of their gear in the equipment pile, each of the men are missing at least one item (Phillip - your MWK Studded Leather; Varash - your map maker's kit and compass; Shevan - your rope and artisan's tools; Adriano - your light wooden shield).
The sea scorpion that was tearing apart the backpack (it was Adriano's backpack, by the way) apparently had plenty of time to rummage around the equipment pile. It must have gorged itself. Some of the trail ration or meat-flavored food item was consumed by the crustacean before you all woke up. (Adriano and Shevan only, mark off any trail rations or meat products you had in your equipment as eaten by the sea scorpion. Adriano, your backpack will need several applications of the Mending spell to repair it.)
To the left of the equipment pile are several footsteps leading to a deep grove in the wet sand that the departing surf has not erased yet. (O4 and N5 on the map.) From the depth of the footprints it is pretty obvious that someone was carrying heavy items back and forth from the boat that landed to your present location.

Hey GMP et al. I think I am going to have to withdraw unfortunately. I have a lot of stuff going wrong irl right now and am having to cut back a lot on my posting. It sucks because i was really enjoying this game. I hope everyone has a blast though and I would game with any of you awesome people again in the future. Again sorry for the inconvenience everyone.

I'm not sure concerning GMP, but if you think IRL is going to calm down sometime soon, most GMs will simply NPC the character for a while, to try and prevent the loss of the character. You may be able to work something out like that, if that's agreeable.
GMP-Gelik Aberwhinge |
The plucky gnome, recovered from his initial fright with the sea scorpions, quickly began recovering his gear from the pile of equipment. "At least my backpack made it here." he mentioned. "And my journal! At least I can write about our mysterious awakening!"
"Eh? What's that?" Gelik said to Adriano. He peered at the slowly diminishing pile in front of them, as passengers picked through their stuff. "No, no wooden shield like that, I'm afraid." the blond gnome said in reply. "It must still be on the ship - now there's an idea!"
GMP-Sasha Nevah |
Sasha, her legging still torn from where the sea scorpions had attacked her, was beside Phillip as they sorted out their gear. "You're a rapier man, I see." she casually mentioned. "At least you know how to use one, unlike some of the people I've met." The redhead picked up a backpack, and a large book fell out. Curious, Sasha opened it and read the first page. "Something...Cantos?" she deciphered.
GMP-Jask Derindi |
"I hate to interrupt." the prisoner said from beside the still-sleeping woman and girl, "But I have an issue of my own." he lifted his manacles for the rest of the passengers to see. "May I get someone to remove these, so I can help the rest of you?" Jask asked, his need for freedom quite plain in his eyes.
Phillip Conti |
To Sasha: "I see you favor the weapon, yourself. That's a fine blade, if you don't mind me saying. And once you get that cleaned up..." motioning to her wounded leg, ""I'll fix your legging for you,"Edit: he finishes with a wink.
To Jask:"Wow, those are on tight. Before anyone unlocks you, though, why are they on you in the first place?"
Varash Ironskull |
"Anyone see my mapmaking kit, and compass? They could be useful in this situation," Varash exclaims.
(he looks through whats left more methodically, taking 20, also looking for the Dawnflower shield)
"By the way, thank you for healing my wounds," he says to Adrieno
Adriano Fierro |
Adriano is looking for his shield and the other memebers of the party equipment he notices a set of footprints.
"excuse me everyone someone might of taken our stuff." Adriano points to the footprints in the sand. But realizes that there is another conversation going on.
"My opinion on the matter of Jask is he should be unbound for his saftey at the least and it wouldn't hurt to have an extra able body in this situation."
He looks ove at Varash "i am glad to have helped."
Phillip Conti |
"He seems to be telling the truth. I believe him, and think he should be set loose, if only to have another set of helping hands.
So then, we have two possibilities we've reached? Either someone's taken the missing items, or they were left on the ship by whoever did this. Either way, our answer will most likely be at the end of these footprints."
GMP-Gelik Aberwhinge |
"Eh? Footprints?" said Gelik. He followed Adriano to where the footprints disappeared in the surf, along with a long groove. The little man still limped a little, favoring his previously injured leg. "Well! That's clearly left by our mysterious benefactor and a longboat." he exclaimed. The gnome squinted at the north-eastern side of the cove that the passengers had been placed in. "I wager if we set off in that direction, with the tide," Gelik mused, "we might find our merchant ship."
Turning back to the party, the gnome snapped, "Oh let's see if anyone can get those manacles off, Ishirou. If somebody wanted him dead, it would have been easy to drown him on the way to this beach. It's not like we're all going to leave him here and go look for the Jenivere."
GMP-Sasha Nevah |
"So who's going, and who's staying?" Sasha asked the rest of the passengers. She had acquired her chain shirt, slipping it on, as well as a strangely curved bladed dagger and a belt pouch. Looking past Ishirou and Jask, she frowned. Sasha made her way to where the human woman and her elf-girl ward were laying on the sand. "We should wake these two, make sure they are still alive." the redhead told everyone.
Phillip Conti |
Having strapped on his multiple weapons, gathering his tools, and checking on his pouch, Phillip says, "Whatever did this to us must have hit these two hard." He then moves over to the human, shaking her gently. "Wake up, sleepyhead. You're needed in the real world."
Adriano Fierro |
"I will go, if there are any wounded that washed up I can help." Adriano gets ready with the equipment he could find.
"I'll check those two out." Adriano walks over to the half-elf seeing Phillip is "checking" out the human. Make a heal check to see if she is ok. Heal: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
GM_Pace |
Your Heal check reveals that they are both still alive, with a strong heatbeat, but unresponsive. Comas used to be called "death sleep", and that is what these two are in. (If Noel doesn't come back, I'll have to DMPC her and Tessara, but this is easiest for now.)
Patience, grasshopper. Sasha's got a shell for a reason.
(The equipment pile is now down to just Noel's and Tessara's stuff, minus the missing equipment of the guys.)
GMP-Jask Derindi |
Jask Derindi looks from one person to the next, hoping someone will attempt to pick the lock on his manacles. "No one?" he asked. Looking out to sea, he told everyone, "The Captain had the keys to my fetters. Sometimes he gave the keys to the First Mate. If you could find them...."
GMP-Sasha Nevah |
"We need to get these two out of the sun, in the shade there." Sasha says, pointing to the nearby jungle. She looked at the passengers. "Ishirou. Leave him alone and help me carry these two to the edge of the trees there. You're not doing anything, anyway. Jask can't lift either of these two with his hands like that."
GMP-Ishirou |
The Tian mercenary looked as if he was about to argue, then saw everyone's disapproval on their faces. He wordlessly went over to the larger human woman on the sand and was about to pick her up, only to have Phillip beat him to it. So he picked up the elf girl instead, carrying her (to C8 on the map.) The man went back and gathered the leftover gear and moved that to the tree line as well.
GMP-Gelik Aberwhinge |
"Well." Gelik said, looking around him. "I'm not going looking for the ship, that sea scorpion poison has me weak. I daresay our prisoner is not as well, nor our stalwart half-elf warrior here." The gnome indicated the still-pale Aerys Mavato, who was still holding her backpack to her chest and breathing heavily. "Someone has to take charge of this group, and I am more extrovert than our stoic swordsman or our armored archer." The last was directed to Shevan, who was silently looking at the cloudless sky. Gelik crossed his arms and said to Adriano and Varash, "So? Are you three going? To see if you can find the Jenivere? A longboat couldn't have gotten too far from the ship."
GM_Pace |
Adriano, you need to state if you are using a healer's kit to bind wounds, wrap bandages around limbs, ointment on eyes, etc. A Heal check is just to see how injured or poisoned a person is, it won't heal them unless you use something with the Heal check. Just a reminder.
Sasha's wound appeals healed, but half-healed scars are evident on her lower left leg. (Sasha is still down by 5 hp from her max.)
GMP-Gelik Aberwhinge |
"I count only the four of you - our fair-haired human (Phillip), our generous cleric (Adriano), our thrill-loving woman (Sasha), and our half-orc friend here (Varash)." Gelik said, smiling, as he pointed to each in turn. "Well, get on! It's not getting any cooler here. But be sure to come back by dark, 'cause I'm not sending anyone else after you." With that, the majority of the passengers moved to the treeline, away from the surf.
