Grey does not have his hammer out yet, took a move action to drop the shield :( Zero base attack bonus is hard. Just clarification.

It's been a week now since UlSkadi has posted and she hasn't replied to my PMs...I hope she's OK but I stop botting anyone if a week's gone by and I haven't heard from them...as for now, I'll leave her at a spot where she can join back in if she is able to, but she'll be effectively out of the scenario until then. The five of you remaining should still be able to complete the mission effectively...unless of course the dice completely go berserk...

I know and thankfully doesnt affect spell damage though will probably be throwing out force missiles instead of rays to not have the -2 to attack

Rei, you can can roll your missile damage yourself by adding this dice roll to your post:

I love playing druids. Rykaar however is not one and has 0 skills / abilities to engage with the lizard.

I wonder how higher level play by post games go, ones where you really need to double down on tactics and coordination to survive.

Anyone how if the big one gets dazed, I'm thinking about trying to bull rush it further into the room so that we can pile in past that bottle neck.

If it is not dazed I might use charming presence (sanctuary) on Todd to make it easier to acrobatics into flanking.

This is all assuming the the black one died from your two hits. I havent been counting damage to try to figure out how many HP the trogs have.

The bull rush idea sounds like a great idea. Getting Todd to flank would also work, but still like the bull rush more.

So I looked through the past posts, the trogs have less than 15 HP, you two probably did 14 damage to that black one. So don't even know if it is done for yet.

think bigger question is if the 14 is a hit or a miss cause think that would be right around the cut off point. Also think Otha will probably post again tonight or tomorrow as far as the dazed aspect

Very good question Cerryl. I have the same concern, and reading some of the posts I get the feeling some scenarios limit the PLAYER not just the character. Maybe I am wrong... Hope I am.

Typically, a PLAYER can only play a scenario once. A CHARACTER can never play the same scenario twice.

There exceptions that allow a PLAYER to repeat a scenario. The Confirmation, The Consortium Compact and Master of the Fallen Fortress are all exceptions. These scenarios can be played any number of times by PLAYER with a level 1 character but only once with a level 2 character. All these exception scenarios are called 'evergreen' scenarios.

There are a few more exception scenarios, evergreens, like the Wounded Wisp, First Steps, and a many level one modules (even From the Tome of Righteous Repose, a 3-7 evergreen). There are also limited boons and rewards that allow a PLAYER to replay typical scenarios which normally can not be replayed (with a different character).

These 'evergreen' scenarios tend to be new player friendly, and I assume that is why Otha choose to run a trilogy of them for this new to pbp group.

Makes sense but now have to make sure I make fewer characters to carry through and need to figure out exactly where a list of evergreen scenarios and one other question if you pick up half-way through a scenario does that count towards your 1 attempt or is that an exception there

Also, making a change to Cerryl now due to finding a rule that I missed. It would not have impacted anything from the last mission but will impact the saving throw for this combat. The generation website still showed Scribe Scroll as a bonus feat but was supposed to replace that with a spell focus (which in this case would be Evocation) and changing the DC for that last spell to 16 I believe.

And most level 1 'modules' will be evergreen. What 'modules' are is a another conversation.

I'm on character #16, others are much further along. I'm sure you'll be fine, just play your experienced characters too some of the time.

Joining half way into a scenario counts as your one play through. I had a character die in the first fight, in the first room of a scenario. I ended up using a replay boon to try again a year later.

That kinda stinks picked up on a Silverhex playthrough about half way so guess will have to cross that off unless I get the replay boon but if that is for GMs doubt I will obtain one of those. Enjoy playing but don't think I would be up for GMing anything for a while.

Silverhex is called a 'quest', as opposed to a 'scenario' or 'module'. Quests are largely broken into small parts that can be completed piece-meal (but I'm not sure if you can go back and finish parts you missed after playing other scenarios, I don't think so).

As far as I know, all the quests are 'evergreen'. I know that Silverhex is. These are the quests I know of.
