I....think those might be ok. I dunno, are there rules for that?

.
According to Blood of Angels & Blood of Fiends, mechanically they are identical to human-born Aasimar & Tieflings, the only difference being they would riff off of Dwarf appearance/build, rather than Human. In both instances, there is a race-specific feat that causes them to seem more like their 'parent' race. Belledonna actually has it, 'Fiendish Facade', for Tieflings only, it makes it easier for them to 'pass' as a member of another race, it's generally assumed that the race in question is the parent's although technically it doesn't have to be. I don't recall what the Aasimar feat is called, I would have to look it up.
Changeling might be a bit different, considering they really are 'half-breeds' rather than just 'tainted', and Hags don't generally choose Dwarves, or maybe Dwarves just aren't stupid enough to fall for it...
GM Niles WotR |
Lets say that yes, those are acceptable. I'm not the GM but I'm pretty sure he would be ok.
Belledonna |
How many nights have we slept in the Worldwound? For that matter, have we/(the force as a whole) been taking any precautions regarding sleeping in the Worldwound? I.E.: Anything like Warding sleeping areas, etc... Basically, what steps have we taken to minimize potential 'infection' through dreams or similar? I realize the chief dream associated deity is Desna but I would be rather surprised if the environment itself wasn't rather hazardous...
Of course, I may be seeing/'looking for' dangers that aren't there...
GM Niles WotR |
I'm kinda waiting on you guys. I can handwave off the questioning and dealing with Nurah if you want to continue the march.
Belledonna |
Sorry. Today has been busier than expected for me. I meant to make a gameplay post after my last discussion post but got swamped. I will post in the morning.
Konny Hammerhead |
Busy day as well, I am sorry.
Belledonna |
Well, knowing what the gear is is nice, but less important than confirming that she doesn't have any of it is a bit more important at the moment.
GM Niles WotR |
Belle hasn't posted in gameplay since LAST Saturday, Barundar hasn't posted since Thursday.
What is going on?
GM Niles WotR |
My apologies if it seems like I steamrolled you, we needed to move this game along.
Barundar Hammerfist |
Geez, has it really been since Thursday? I'm sorry. I guess my weekend ended up being a lot busier than I thought it was. Or maybe I thought I was posting when I really wasn't. Either way, my apologies if I've been holding the game up.
Belledonna |

No worries. I have actually been trying to think of how to post that anyway. We agreed to putting a focus on maintaining momentum when you agreed to take over the game. While there have been times I might have liked to take matters a bit more casually, I feel that overall, the pace has aided us in maintaining focus, & it is a war-focused AP as much as the others, people rarely get the timetable they wish in a war...
GM Niles WotR |
I'll once again remind everyone that 1/day posting is all I'm begging you for.
Barundar Hammerfist |
I've got to start making better use of that Stonestrike ability, especially now that I've got multiple attacks in a full-round. That in and of itself can go a long way toward improving my damage output.
Konny Hammerhead |
Sorry, yesterday I fell asleep right after the twins did...
If there was no surprise round, Konny should have had sneak attack for both attacks in the first round as the monsters were flatfooted. If there was surprise round, Konny should have had a chance to act during that.
Konny Hammerhead |
And just out of curiosity, was there a surprise round - them approaching - or not?
GM Niles WotR |
Yeah there was, they flew down and engaged during the surprise round.
Konny Hammerhead |
I am sorry for my absence. RL complicated again. Will post later today.
GM Niles WotR |
No, the room is under the effects, everyone is outside the room. I made the assumption from her skill bonuses and previous experiences that Belle would recognize the spell.
GM Niles WotR |
I'm waiting on you guys to post actions. So far you have just discussed what to do.
Konny Hammerhead |
Vic, the Decisive Strike looks cool. I would be glad if you use it on Konny in the 1st round. :-)
I actually almost used a swift action as well, but then I checked the rules and to my dismay it is not allowed.
GM Niles WotR |
I'm still waiting on Belledonna's surprise round action. She's holding if I don't get anything in the next hour or so.
Konny Hammerhead |
Barundar, are you aware that the only one fighting the caster at the moment is Konny, not Vic ;-)
Konny Hammerhead |
It is past midnight here again. There are too many unknowns for me to post actions now. I will do that hopefuly around noon as I have a meeting in the morning.
GM: Why is not Konny positioned between the creature and the wall? With his hastened speed of 80 he should had no problem to get there.
Barundar Hammerfist |
Yeep! Well...either way, my action should remain the same. It may not be against the caster, but I think sticking with Victrix is the wisest course of action at the moment.
GM Niles WotR |
Ok, so your GM completely hosed you on combat prepositioning. I forgot about Haste's effect on movement speed. Sorry...next time remind me.
Konny Hammerhead |
This is not good. Two of us down.
I should have used more MP to improve the attacks in order to speed up the fight :-(
GM Niles WotR |
I think you can only use one per turn right? Also, how many have you used? I think I used some in the earlier gargoyle fight when I botted you.
Konny Hammerhead |
I think there is no limit to how many you use in one turn - the only limit is one per roll or special ability.
Grr, I will have to keep in mind that there are several fight s a day. With pbp day stretching over several weeks if it is an encounter heavy day, I have trouble remembering :-(
So I checked and you used 1 in round 1 and I used 1 in round 4, so now Konny spent 4 in total for 3/7 remaining.
Edit: I checked the mythic power and you are actually right (at least as far as result is concerned). There is no limit for the spending of MP per se, but...
... Surprise strike is swift action
... Surge is immediate action
And the rules say: "Using an immediate action on your turn is the same as using a swift action and counts as your swift action for that turn. You cannot use another immediate action or a swift action until after your next turn if you have used an immediate action when it is not currently your turn (effectively, using an immediate action before your turn is equivalent to using your swift action for the coming turn). You also cannot use an immediate action if you are flat-footed."
So I can use only one or the other during my turn and if I use Surge for AoO, I cannot use it (or Surprise Strike) during my next turn.
I must have overlooked that before. I have not noticed using Surge is an immediate action...
I have not checked if all the uses of MP are swift/immediate actions, but it might be the case.
GM Niles WotR |
I think for ease of use lets just say 1/round and call it a day.
Konny Hammerhead |
Just to let you know I am waiting for Vic's actions resolution and Nukineth, if he is still alive.
Belledonna |
I woke up feeling like poo this morning. Would you please 'bot' me GM Niles? In general, Belledonna will likely hold her actions to cast Dispell Magic as a counterspell for anything Nulkineth tries to cast.
