Can everyone have hidden in the control room to leave the hallway clear? Could they have blocked the door to prevent access?

Jarreck attempts to withdraw but suffers an attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 which hits for 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Hetuath follows the retreating "heroes" which triggers Omo's bomb, which hits for 9. Hetuath attacks Mort 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 but misses.

Feeling a little worse for wear, Jarreck attempts to delay the creature as it has come up against the little druid. He will help try to keep the creature delayed at the doorway

I was thinking we would need to make it to the other side of the room to get back to the panel again. Necessitating 5 acrobatic checks to do so. That was my hesitation. Omo had already taken out about 2/3's of Hetuath's HP based on posted stat block. So I figured holding him up and bombing him was better.

If Omo can kill him great, but Seventeen is useless in this combat and I suspect that's true for some of the others. Well I suppose there is aid another on Omo.

I'm tired of this fight, Omo hits and Hetuath is dead.
The Observation Room (Hetuath's Lair)
A large metal table is surrounded by odd-looking chairs in this room. To the west, what appears to be a transparent wall looks out over a strange desert valley. Four pillars support the fifteen foot-high ceiling, while dozens of crude images of a pickaxe made of a skull and bones have been painted onto the walls
The walls are covered in a strange writing.

On the way to the room, Guaire picks up his bow, which he had dropped for his flail.
"Can't leave without this."
The room and its adjacent scenery were an unusual sight yet again.
"Whatever's going on here, what this is, its but a tip of something far greater."

Jarreck looks to Mort with a wry smile. "A little help here sir, seems I opened the wrong door a moment or so ago."
Looking around the room, Hetuath came from he remarks to the others " Some kind of viewing room, got a large metal table in there looking out over the desert area, but I have no clue what the writing on the walls is about. Definitely not Androffan."
Niles not sure you noticed earlier I mentioned disabling a door to make it safe for everyone to rest up in one of the rooms. Is that possible with these doors?

Then he will check the doorway going to the long hallway he had seen before.
stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
moving down the hallway to the right from the doorway.
last 4 rolls 2-10's and 2-21's got to love it. Now to figure out how to make those 21's on the attack rolls

"If we choose to return to town I will need to spend time disabling the trapped room so we are not fighting it each time we return. Even if we don't return to town at this time we might need to come back through here again. I'm going to go work on making it safe."
Jarreck will then move to pass through the room and disable the trapped room.

"Well we're not uncovering a great deal as it is, we've only checked out two, maybe three rooms further? If we go back every time, Khonnir might not be alive if we take our time off. We still have a lot of healing left in this wand if it is needed, otherwise I'd suggest exploring a bit further and then rest up in a relatively safe room, with guards posted of course."
