If Jarreck fronts the 150gp for a Darkvision scroll and 40 gp for the ink to copy would Omo or Seven be opposed to learning the spell. Thought is not an everyday thing but when scouting caverns and such, it would allow Jarreck the chance to range farther ahead using the darkness and negate the "silly" 50% miss chance when attacking in the darkness, at least until Niles drops Dark slayer back in :-)

Or better yet copy it from Alotuna's spell book, believe Niles has to roll for that though. Niles?

Secondary question.... Niles would the light created from cyberart , basically candlelight in 5' radius, be considered a magical light to overcome the slayers magical darkness??

Seventeen will be happy to learn dark vision, if its available.

It isn't magical light its technological light. However, I'd rule that certain sources of tech light might cancel darkness spells.

However in that case, no the cyberart would not.

Niles was the darkvision available as a spell from Altouna for Seven to copy or would Jarreck have had to find a copy in town for her to copy.

Oh, you definitely can. All people of a certain ethnicity get their language for free. What always bothers me is that most everybody can speak Taldane (Common). It seems rather odd to me.

I feel the same way, but Pathfinder is based on the idea that everyone can communicate pretty easily with everyone else. I've seen other campaign settings where Languages are treated much differently.

Re doing things differently, I don't want to slow the action down but perhaps Niles shouldn't post 'good guys are up' (which I take to mean its the start of a new round) if he's waiting on an action from the current round.

Also we the players should try to keep up.

Ok, just FYI this encounter was pretty random. I rolled for a random encounter and got one, then rolled in the appropriate chart and got
Kellid Tribe...so this being Blood Gar territory I made it a full war party. I honestly didn't think you would stand and fight these guys...

I agree it's not worth waiting after hellion's turn, but perhaps it's worth waiting before posting the raider's actions? Reason being it's the 'natural break', stuff that happens on their turn (e.g. movement) tends to change what we'd do in response.

This is what happened and I found it confusing:

Below is the order in which actions where posted. I've arranged the breaks after the raider's turns. I hadn't appreciated that we where not all on the same turn which is why I thought haste affected people that it did not.

BTW this isn't me trying to call people out for being slow or something, that really isn't my intention, life happens. Besides this is the fastest moving game I'm in. Rather I'm trying to debug what went wrong and try to spot a fix.

Where the rounds fall doesn't really matter... I have a feeling people aren't really reading the thread all that well when they post their actions.

Would you guys rather I resolve actions in post order rather than using initiative in these situations?

I may have screwed everybody up a bit but it was inadvertant. I posted Jarreck's first round action before the Raiders went so Niles wouldnt have to wait on me to get out of work. I knew where I was in the lineup was just trying not to hold the rest of you up.
