Daniel, I actually included arcane strike in my damage, but I think I forgot to mention that I did use it, for all that it helps my accuracy. Because I had pretty good damage, I'll use a surge in the hopes I hit.

Thanephos did clip the staircase with his arrow, but somehow, the arrow ricocheted off the wood and buried itself in the bandit's armpit.


The blow is a telling one as Joneth can barely stand after the bandit's sword runs him through. Yet stand he must and does, even managing a counterstrike, though one that misses its target.

Seeing the nasty sword hit Joneth just took, Athar drops prone in Thanephos' square, reaches over and lends him some healing aid.

She misses once and lands a glancing blow to his arm with her Kukri.

With snarl Alexis lashes out again with her short sword.

Actually, Alexis, instead of just doubling the damage, you roll 2d4, so it probably would have done more than 2 points.
Extra damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3 4 points total.

As Alexis thrusts her short sword into the vile man, she could swear a soft yet angry voice mutters, "Die, pig!"

The bandit drops. While he isn't dead, he is bleeding out.

Perhaps it is due to Athar's invigorating divine healing or Ty's urging or a combination of both even, but whatever the reason this time Joneth manages to land a strike on his foe, slashing the bandit across his torso, blood flowing freely from the wound.

eh, better to slay them now, then let them slay another 3 days from now. Holy justice must be delivered! Far as Daniel is concerned, they revoked their protection by attacking goodly travelers. Though if they surrender quarter will be given.. until a proper sentence can be handed out.

Meh Heroes are made not born. And earlier my murderhobo came out and I am sorry. Though it adds some fun for Alexis considering Sarenraes rules. It will be fun character development. And the Paladin is mean :P shooting a fleeing man. And is the bandit still moving? If not Alexis will give chase.


Ty slices off the man's ear as he turns and bolts. The blood loss from that wound is enough to put him down once Daniel feathers his back.

Ty also takes a chunk out of the blind bandit behind the stairs. Bandits 1 and 2 are at 8 and 5 hp respectively.

Joneth strikes at the man in front of him once again. What appears at first to be a telling blow proves much less effective as the blinded bandit almost instinctively moves to the side, turning a potentially deadly slash into a much less effective one.

It is, with care. It's an open trap door leading into a small room dug out of the ground with a wooden ladder providing access.

would I get AoOs for closing it? and that is where Alexis is headed to prevent them from fleeing. I currently cannot attempt to fix the map though.


I goofed and forgot to remove the black spot when I captured the screenshot for the ditIe map. There won't be any AoOs as the only bandit left is blind (unless Ty gets frisky with the AoOs). As long as you aren't turned around and unarmed, you should be safe from this group. ;)

Ok, could you move me there since I currently cannot mess with the map?

Alexis moves around the stairs blocking the his escape. She readies and attack but doesn't strike waiting to see if the fight will continue.

I think I've updated the map according to Ty's and Alexis' actions, although Bandit 1 and Bandit 3 are dead. I can't delete images, and I don't know if Nazard would be cool with me moving them somewhere off map.

"All your friends are dead," Ty says to the final bandit. "Time to surrender."


The blind bandit flails around with his sword, looking for targets, but realizing that his buddy isn't moving about next to him, he drops his sword and raises his hands. "Quarter?" he asks hopefully, though he braces himself waiting for a sword to slide between his ribs.

Ty will move forward, kick the bandit's sword out of the way, and remove any other weapons from the bandit. He'll wait for one of the others to question the man.


As no steel is forthcoming, the man relaxes slightly, sinking to his knees, awaiting his fate.

"Don't bother asking me no questions," he says. "I ain't never gonna eat out the boss!"

now now now, we wouldn't expect that. No, Actually, I would prefer that. That way, we can tell the, court back at the city that not only did you attack us, other travelers, and used animals in your cruelty, but you were extremely uncooperative. We won't have to worry about lessening your punishment.. I wonder, the salt mines for 20 years? cleaning the church's painted windows, now those ARE high.. Yes. I always prefer for those criminals like you to hold to your own. Keeps you off the street longer, and gives you a longer period for you to sit and ponder your choices. Many a criminal has converted after years in the... well. Lets let that be a surprise yes?

athar, go check on the others, I would prefer to take all of them back alive.


Athar checks the others, finding them all alive enough to stabilize, save for the man out in the yard with the arrows in his back.

Each man wears studded leather armour and has a longsword, both well looked after. Each man also has a rather shabby bow and a quiver of second-rate arrows.

They each also have odds and ends in their pockets a little sacks of 20 sp.

The man is ... Uncomfortable with Daniel's words, and while frightened, he's clearly more frightened of someone else.

Perhaps if Daniel had assistance, or the group tried a different approach...

Ty whacks the man with the butt of spear, almost gently.


The bandit grunts as the spear butt takes him in the gut. He snarls at Ty.

"Nah! Some other group made 'em. Others went and killed them, and they gots killed, and them, and at some point we did 'em in and took the towers. We's the best fighters around!" The man looks proud, and then, several seconds later, remembers that they had just gotten their butts kicked, and his smile slips off his face faster than butter off a hot fire poker.
