No worries guys :-P You don't need to apologize for crazy roleplaying (I have an urgathoan bloodbath cleric and an egomaniacal book-destroying gnome wizard among my characters). I enjoy it a great deal. Just as you Guys play your characters true to their natures, I am also trying to have my NPCs react in character. So don't take a negative NPC reaction as a negative GM reaction. :)
I also have no problem with Oggie posting the above as a real reaction. :)
No one needs to hold back on Valorian. When it comes to fey, he has an unreasonable, almost fanatical obsession with them. His psyche was crushed when his parents were killed. I expected that there would be good fey in this module and his continued racism will depend largely on how those interactions play out.

So far, they think you are a deranged psychopath who confirms all their fears about humanity. :D :D :D
Risking to come off as blunt I must say, that the pace and participation in this module has dropped significantly.
Could we please have a bit more activity?
Being notoriously impatient as I am I hope I do not step on people's toes. But I am concerned with where the quality of this game is headed with the current trend.
I completely understand. I haven't been posting nearly as much as I should be... I'm going to blame work and RL duties, but I should've had the time to get more posts in. Speaking of which... Let me go get my turn in right now :)
I really must apologize, folks. I've been neglecting this lately as I have been sick and very busy with school. I'm terribly sorry about the delays, and i am very interested in seeing this fantastic campaign continue. I will try to make sure we keep up the pace on this.
Asharii has very little in the way of morals ... though she is definitely not evil.
She will do what it takes to get what she wants and takes it all as a new experience (in Planescape she would definitely be a Sensate - I miss Planescape).
But she is know to lie and deceive if necesary :P
On Hostile Waters:
When I played On Hostile Waters, Asharii ended op intimidating the Lenshen official with her agressive sexuality. It was a memorable encounter ... made so even more by the fact that the Braid of a Hundred Masters, which the official was looking for was braided into her own hair.
Actually it was from a home campaign that Oggie was a part of.
Only the PCs escaped. I think about 20 people and lots of animals died in that inn that night.
We don't know yet (campaign is on hiatus due to deployment of the GM), but I think we actually brought the possessing entity into the inn with us. Once there it moved from a human host into the building itself. Think of all the evil house movies you have seen and replay all those scenes.
I am sooo not worth to adventure with the likes of the well-versed Jokhas. Fantastic post!
I'm certainly amused by the idea of everyone standing around while waiting for a) Jokhas to get to the point or b) for the wisp to attack. Valorian has a bow to the air, Shanks is going mad sniffing out threats, Oggie is yodeling defiance, Swift Wind is simply standing silently while scanning his aberration rolodex for more information, Asharii is stalling on an offensive incantation while doing untoward things to Devarre's unconscious form, and Drezi is preparing magic missile while using his spare hand to look for a mirror to check his hair.
All the while Jokhas takes advantage of a captive audience to perform one of the longest castings of glitterdust recorded.
Drezi is preparing magic missile while using his spare hand to look for a mirror to check his hair.
.
I love the image everyone has of Drezi, it is better than an in-person game. Speaking of Drezi, as of Kingdom-con he is now 12th level and waiting for an opportunity to play Eyes of the Ten.

So, just as a note... if we're looking to finish by GenCon, I'm pretty sure that the speed of the game is going to have to increase. I don't actually know how far in we are, but it seems like we still have quite a bit to go.
I didn't realize Gencon was the goal. I guess that would be about 10 months which makes sense but I really hate to rush. If people need this done by Gencon though, so be it I'm game for attempting to go faster.
Our current dispensation to run this with the old module rules ends by GenCon.
If we are not done before that Nani will have to give us all incomplete chronicles. I.e. If we completed 50% or 66% of the module, that is the corresponding reward we shall receive.
So 1) we should all be more attentive to this game and 2) Nani should force the pace a bit and consider if certain elements can be skipped.

That's what I figured, I am good to run faster even if it sacrifices detail a bit. I can still ham it up, I just won't plan on spending 2 hours writing posts. :)
This morning via instant messenger:
Kyle: You should post a new map. Todd has been asking about it.
Me: What?
Kyle: You know, on the play by post?
Me:...
Me:...
Me:...I think you mean Bob.
Kyle: I said Todd... yes, I meant Bob. for some reason Bob Jonquet became Todd Morgan. no clue why
Kyle: They're both 5-star venture captains from the midwest?!
