Tierney's move distracts the warforged long enough for Jarot's blade to slide into a vital point of the assassin's natural armor between chest and back plating. The assassin crumbles to the ground lifeless. A small compartment in its chest opens and a tiny metal ball with wings swiftly flies off. Picture a snitch from Harry Potter

When the metal sphere exits from the dead assassin Tierney it surprises Tierney and, for some inexplicable reason, he grabs for it but misses badly. Could have been important he thinks. Then the sound of sword against flesh calls his senses back to the combat.

"Did you see that large warforged knock that little one right off the deck?"

"That there weird looking one is handy with that black dagger. He gutted that one there."

Servitor looks about at the fallen warforged, That's all!? There's no more!? No! That wasn't enough! Servitor stumbles as the unpiloted ship continues to tumble. Then, it looks towards the glider. Three more, three more should do... Stumbling across the deck towards the prow, Servitor lets out a noise more unsettling than the previous roars; a shriek, filled with rage, but now sorrow and desperation showing through the cracking, metallic voice. Raising its arm, it tries to find a target, but the glider is too high, the occupants out of sight. Then the vessel itself! Letter:

Dear Companions,

The last few days have been a blur. If you are reading this, I must no longer be with you. Please know that my sacrifice will not be in vain if the Warforged, Servitor, makes it to Lady Elaydren in Sharn. It is no mere chance that you five have met. The Sovereign Host is at work and I know that things will work out for the good in the end.

I ask a favor. Please have my body delivered to the Anatomy Department at Morgrave University for research. I have spent my life learning and teaching. I can think of no better way for my body to be used. Who would have thought a stuffy Provost like myself would die at the hands of another? Please take my things and use them to assist you financially. I have one hundred gold in my travel bag and a spell book that will fetch 200 gold if offered to Elaydren. There is also a Wand of Healing (CLW 8 charges-Adir) and some nice artisan's tools (You pick what kind-Tierney).

May the Sovereign Host guide you all!

Your Friend,

Bonal Geldem

Word of your heroics gets to the new Captain and he treats you like King's for the rest of the evening and the next day. Upon arrival at the port in Sharn, you are met by officers from House Lyander who front the finances for The Beginner's Luck. "You have saved our magnificient vessel and for that we are indebted to you. Please take these certificate for you heroics. It can be used with any airship for the next year for free passage." One by one they all shake your hands.

After the ceremony, the five of you stand on the platform overlooking Sharn. For those who have never seen her glory, Sharn is a shocking sight. Bones thanks you once again and asks, "So what now for each of you?"

Sharn Introduction:

Sharn, the City of Towers, the jewel of old Galifar -- Our glorious metropolis is known by many names, and its legend stretches across the globe. Every day thousands of people pass through Sharn. Merchants from distant lands offer Sarlonan silks, Zil elixirs, dragon turtle meat from the Sea of Rage, and other fantastic goods. Brelish farmers stream down the Old Road bearing the harvest; Sharn has many mouths to feed, and the edge of the Dagger is barren and hard. Ambassadors rub shoulders with aristocrats, and dragonmark heirs trade tales with sages and bold explorers. There is a place for everyone in the city of Sharn, and adventure lies around every corner.

Our great city can overwhelm on a first visit, so the Sharn Inquisitive produced this simple guide. With it, a good map, and a copy of the Sharn Inquisitive to keep you up to date with current events, you'll be working the lifts as if you were born in the spires! Read on, and welcome to Sharn!

Sharn sprawls between the Dagger and the Hilt. Its fabled towers rise more than a mile into the air. To find your way around the city, you must think both horizontally and vertically. If you were to look down upon the city from above, you would be able to identify five distinct sections or quarters: the Central Plateau, Dura, Menthis Plateau, Northedge, and Tavick's Landing.

Vertically, these clusters of towers are broken into three distinct levels or wards. Thus a citizen of Sharn may refer to Upper Central, Middle Dura, or Lower Northedge.

Each ward is further divided into three to nine districts. Each district has its own flavor. The Bazaar of Middle Dura is a center for trade; Black Arch in Lower Tavick's Landing is a garrison district supporting our brave troops and officers of the watch; and Crystal Bridge in Upper Northedge is a purely residential district, home to some of the wealthiest families in Sharn.

In addition to the five quarters, there are other regions of note. If you arrived by boat you will have already seen Cliffside, which rises up from the shores of the Dagger to the ward of Lower Dura. If you're reading this in Cliffside, we advise you to leave quickly, because that grimy district can be quite dangerous if you don't know the ways of the city! Looking up, you may catch a glimpse of glittering clouds floating above the tallest spires: this is Skyway, home to the most privileged citizens of Sharn. Deep beneath the city lie the Cogs, our center of industry; like Cliffside, this is a place casual visitors are advised to avoid.

If you have need of me before we reach Sharn, I will be... examining these warforged. They are not the typical model I believe. Perhaps I can determine how these repair injections were created.

With that moment of almost normal interaction done, Jarot collects the bodies of the assassins to dissect in a cabin below.

Tierney spent most of the journey at the wheel and looks the worse for it. But when he the airship finally touches down in Sharn his spirits rise. At the reading of the letter his reaction his hard to determine.

"The Provost seemed to be a good man. It's a shame that the attackers reached him." To anyone with a modicum of social skill this comes across as oddly said.

"Do any of you know this Lady Elaydren and how to contact her?"

Before they disembark Tierney practices with the smaller wakizashis. He wields them deftly but is clearly unhappy with their shorter reach.

To Servitor and Adir he asks "Would you think it disrespectful if I were to peruse Bonal's spellbook before we sell it? I might be able to learn something from it."

"We seem to be in accord. We shall see to his remains first. Then we will seek out this Lady Eladryn. Let us ask if anyone on board has any pertinent information as to her or the location of Morgrave University. If not, we will hunt our quarry in the city. Any questions?"

Edit: Adir hands the spellbook to Tierney.

Adir is more serious since the Provost's death. This clearly affected him. He is willing to lead at the moment. He seems more... alpha, if you will. Pardon the wolf puns.
