Nixie here! I will be getting everyone notice of this thread now that I know where it is! I'll need to update Nixie's profile, she is now either Level 4 or 5.

Hmm

I have a few options for characters to bring:
Catherine de Bourgh, my Grippli Cavalier 5 with her mount Mr. Collins
Guide "Guy" Falkes, my Kitsune Flamedancer Bard 3
Kegan, my Ifrit Swashbuckler 3

Guido is the only one of those who has previously met Nixie. Last time, she got him soaking wet.

FYI: I will be burning a star to replay this one.

A sophisticated bard does not get soaked.

A bard becomes moist in anticipation of what's to come.

Silver Crusade

I only have one character in tier. That is Ebonwolf Metalbender. Fighter/Cleric. I have to bring his stats and such into the nether of the paizo boards as I haven't played or GM babied him since PaizoCon.

Still need to level him to 5 as well. Stats will be up shortly though.

Looking forward to adventuring with you fine lot.

Checking in! I'd prefer to bring Corona since she'd be my only free PC of a halfway appropriate level *but* I'd be happy to play a pregen too so we don't dip into low-tier :)

*edit* She'll be 3.1 by the time we start, not 2nd!

Grand Lodge

3.1 should be fine. Corona brings more to the party than skill-at-arms.

His pronunciation of Isger is more of Is-Grrrr! with plenty of growl in the second syllable.

Plus, Guido offers inspire courage, allowing Nixie the opportunity to watersing to her heart's content.

But Lady Catherine would be in constant competition with Princess Tiffany. Two stuck up noble frogs? Together? And I just realized that Mr. Collins is a pig. Ever since Nixie's confirmation, she's been terrified of pigs.

Kaya winces a bit, patches of her fur now decidedly wet. Still, that's easily solved, right? She uses a corner of her cloak to at least try to remove the moisture and fluff the little tufts back up again.

"Most of you seem to be previously acquainted," the kitsune notes. "Have you any interesting stories?" Her grin widens with foxy mischief. "Anything embarrassing? I've always heard that the best way to learn how people work is to put them in interesting situations! Have you been in many?"

Oh lord... How will we ever choose?

Focusing the discussion on those two characters.

Guido is an Archer Bard and a Flamedancer. Although he carries a few melee weapons, he doesn't want to use them. Oh, and he looks like a kitsune. (He has yet to take on human appearance in game.) He doesn't allow trivial things like what is legal to get in the way of doing what is right.

The Lady Catherine de Bourgh still needs some fame before she can take her proper title. She is a patron of the arts and an asset to all around her. It is only right that the society call for her aid here since books are in danger. She will bless you with her insights into things she knows nothing about, but being a professional critic feels she is qualified to comment on.
She travels with the biggest boar imaginable, Mr. Collins.

She is very lawful, concerned with what is proper. She has opinions on everything and knows that her very presence is a blessing to all around her.

I have not played The Lady Catherine de Bourgh yet, so her personality may require some tuning. I will be trying for dry humor rather than annoying. Eye rolls would be expected if she proclaims something like:
"Well my dear, I know nothing about singing but had I applied myself to it I'm sure I would have excelled. It seems quite improper for the water to move around like that just because you sing with that warble in your voice. Do endeavor to do better!"

It is also my first ever Cavalier.

I have stat blocks for both of these characters in their profiles.

Guido

The Lady Catherine de Bourgh
Mr. Collins

Either could work, but I think that The Lady Catherine de Bourgh may balance the party slightly better since it would give us another melee person.

A grippli roughly two feet tall prances into the room wearing a velvety soft purple nobles' coat and pink ballet slippers. A coral bowtie adorns her smooth green head, and how it was ever clipped onto a hairless skull is a subject of long debate, or at least that's what she'd have you believe.

Upon noticing Corona, Tiffany runs ahead and excitedly returns the hug. "Oh my gosh, it's totally Corona! Hey girl! How have you been?! Bebop missed you!" A small desert toad leaps from Tiffany's shoulder onto Corona's head. "Haha, Bebop, be nice." She links arms with Corona and pulls her aside. "Okay, we SO have to catch up. So! I'm thinking shopping, maybe a mani-pedi, I mean, look at these things, they're practically daggers! Oh, and there's this cute gnome stylist in town too, maybe we can get our hair done, maybe visit the bakery or get some tapas... Oh wait, you're a baker, aren't you?! O-M-G. I don't think I'll ever get bored of playing this character, hehe. Tiffany's currently playing The Traitor's Lodge but will be ready long before this mission starts - if she survives. That scenario seems dangerous, and she is playing out of subtier!

"Well, I'll be off - I've got to go and learn a bit more about the real world, so I can come and join you!" Kaya says. She doesn't actually know anyone here well just yet, but just from the few moments of observation she's been granted, she can see that it would be a fun group to go out with.

--

Of course, when she comes back in hardly as long a span of time as she'd expected, she's a bit flustered, but pleased to say she's almost met the prerequisites necessary for the mission she'd been invited on.

"Well, this wasn't nearly as traumatizing as I'd expected it to be," she mutters under her breathe, slipping back into the same, happy room.

Soooo, I'm super silly and we just finished Edge of Anarchy, so Kaya's level three. (Yaaaaay, AP XP!) :D Just one more XP and she'll hit four! Seeing as I'm GMing this next Saturday, I think I've got it covered. c:

On another note, though, I'm really digging the characters. c: Even from the little bits here, I feel like there's a lot of personality in these characters and I'm really looking forward to October 6th! I'm feeling a lot more motivated to delve into my characters, too. <3 Thanks, guys! c:

Also, The Traitor's Lodge was both scary and fun! I believe in you! ^o^

An grippli armored in shining mithral breastplate with fine clothing and a tiara on her head enters. She has several weapons on her including a darkwood composite longbow, a longsword, and a net. Following her is a huge boar in barding with a multi-colored banner depicting a stylized glyph of the open road flying from a pole sticking out of it's pack.

"I am Catherine de Bourgh. I have heard that my considerable talents are required here, something to do with saving some books?"

She smiles. "It is fortunate that I was able to make time in my extremely busy schedule, for it would be horrible if any books were to be destroyed! I am a dedicated patron of literature and can not countenance such a thing!"

Gesturing at the boar, she says "This is Mr. Collins."

"Snort!"

The boar scraps his hoof against the floor, then moves behind Catherine eyeing the group with suspicion.

Knowledge Nature (Is this... a PIG?): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Nixie stands there a moment in shock as the creature of her nightmares, the dreaded pig, stands there before her. She's heard of such creatures. On her own Confirmation, her teammates told her of the bloodcurdling viciousness and relentless attacks of pigs.

"There's no creature from the land more deadly." One of her fellow Pathfinders confided, so very long ago. "That's why we Pathfinders meet at the Pig's Paunch -- to remember the danger of pigs and to be ever vigilant."

Then, finally, her reactions catch up. "Aaaaaacccck!"

Casting slipsteam, Nixie expertly surfs on her own wave until she sloshes behind Princess Tiffany, trembling and cowering behind the Grippli. "That's a p-p-p-pig! A pig! Keep it away from me! They eat people!"

Casting message, she asks, "You're a druid. You should know. Do we need cold iron or silver? Oh why didn't I pay better attention in the monster lore class?"

___
* In Confirmation I rolled a pair of nat ones on my knowledge nature and sense motive checks, and thus have had pigs as my personal nightmare creature ever since.

The Exchange

Frowning at the outburst, Catherine stares at Nixie for a moment.

"My dear, please cease this silly outburst! Mr. Collins is not a pig. He is a boar! They are much more sturdy and deadly than pigs. I would never do something as unrefined as riding a pig!"

She seems slightly miffed that anyone would mistake Mr. Collins for a pig.

"More DEADLY than pigs?" Nixie wails in terror. "Are you quite sure that you have that... that... pi-- er - boar under control? What was the society doing, letting you bring such a creature?"

"SNORT!"

"Suive, monsieur Collins!"

Grippli:
Follow, Mr. Collins! Heel command

The boar immediately settles down directly behind Catherine.

Looking towards Nixie, she replies "Yes, dear. I am QUITE sure that Mr. Collins knows his place." I am not as sure about you though. To panic like that because of him? Ridiculous!

"Now that we have established that, perhaps each of you could grace me with your names?" she says, looking expectantly towards Princess Tiffany. At least they had the good graces to include another grippli in this group.

"Oh. My. GOODNESS." Tiffany drops Corona's arm as she notices Lady Catherine and runs across the room. "Th-th-that tiara.. Those gemstones.." She spies the reflection of her big red eyes in the tiara. "So, so, so totally cute. I LOVE it. Did you get that from Absalom & Co.? Dozens of Diamonds? Minx Trade Company? I like your style! Oh, I'm Tiffany, by the way. Ahem make that Trade Princess Tiffany, specialized appraiser and purveyor of everything cute AND SHINY!" She pulls out her prismatic crystal and shows it to Catherine. "Check this out, Lady C! It sparkles with the light of a thousand suns! ... But it isn't magical or anythingBUT IT'S STILL SO CUTE!... Hey, what's with the boar?"

The Exchange

"Minx Trade Company. I find their staff very knowledgeable and courteous." she replies, smiling.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Princess Tiffany." she says, giving a slight bow. Examining Tiffany's crystal, she admits "The way it shines, I would have thought only magic could cause something like that! Is it perhaps some sort of alchemical effect?"

With a dismissive wave, she says "Mr. Collins is just my battle steed. I needed something to ride into battle and this seemed much more dignified than a pony."

As the excitement over the boar begins to die down a tall Half-Orc wearing a mithral Breastplate walks into the briefing room. With just a quick glance he appears like another Half-Orc until you look closer and things begin to look odd. Firstly emblazoned across his Breastplate sits the holy symbol for Torag the Father of Creation and as if that is not enough the tome 'Hammer and Tongs' hangs from his waist.
As he behinds to walk closer you see his long beard has braids in a Dwarven style. On his left arm is a Half-Orc tribal tattoo and scarification much akin to the shamans of his racial heritage. His right arm is even more awkward on the back of his hand glitters a tattoo of his God, Torag, surrounding this is a skin bleaching technique common to those of the Wayang of Inahiyi of the Minata nation of Tian Xia.

The Half-Orc comes up to the table smiles and speaks "Oi, I'm betten ye all got thee same summons ta come 'ere." His voice is nothing as expected where the bestial some what primal accent normal to his race you hear the gruff and rocky Dwarven accent.

He speaks again "I am Ebonwolf Metalbender, son a Hafton Metalbender, o' clan Metalbender. I humbly offee up me services as a Pathfinder..." he jostles arround and um-hitchs a small pony keg from his back "...and as a Brewer." He finishes setting the pony keg on the table with a few mugs jesturing to any to partake.

Sorry for the late intro been super busy at work last few days. Gotta love the public services sector ;)

Corona watches the proceedings with a look of growing confusion, unsure of what to address first. Pigs vs. boars? Pigs are actually dangerous?? Tiffany has a twin???

"Ohhh, this is all so strange!" she exclaims. "New Friend Mr. Collins doesn't seem dangerous at all! And I didn't know that you had a twin, Friend Tiffany. Or at least a sister. She looks and acts a lot like you, I mean..." Corona rambles.

Thankfully, Ebonwolf's arrival seems to snap her out of it. A brewer? This was much simpler to process! "Hello New Friend Ebonwolf! I think you're the last one to get here but that's okay. We were just talking about uh...the differences between pigs and boars?" she says as she offers her hand for a shake. "I'm Corona Merrion and it's very nice to meet you. And you, and you, and you..." she adds, offering her hand to Nixie, Kaya, and Lady Catherine in turn. "When I'm not being a Pathfinder, I'm a baker! Does anyone want any cornbread?"

"Ohhhh, a brewer, eh?" Kaya grins and moves over to the table, quicker than you might blink. All of the water and the business over the pi--ah, boar -- had caused her to worry about their supposed next job, but, well. Alcohol? Now that was something she could get behind!

She snags a mug and takes a nice, long drink before actually eyeing the drink. "This is... This is nice!" It's not quite surprise, but well. "Certainly better than what I had at the last lodge I was at."

Eyeing the half-orc, the woman pauses. "You know, I could swear that I've met someone like you before, but, well... He was a lot more finicky about whether or not people were allowed to drink..." The last bit is muttered under her breath. "The pompous prick."

"Anyways, I think I said it earlier, but for those of you who've just stepped in, I'm Kaya! Kaya Yoshida. Or, well, if I was sayin' it properly, Yoshida, Kaya, but eh."

Privately, she can't help but wonder if they were going to be alright - thus far, they had quite the rowdy crew! Still, it looked like a fun group... Of course, that's what she'd thought about all of 'em thus far. Kaya grins at this last bit and takes another drink to cover the smile.

Kaya stares, a but unsure of what, exactly, the princess was asking. Was it supposed to be a joke? She couldn't be sure. As it was, she was a bit relieved when Corona spoke up, relaying her own experience.

At that, though, the foxy woman grimaced in sympathy. "I've heard of them briefly, once. Apparently, a group of field agents were assigned to go and rescue another that hadn't checked in at the predetermined time. Turned out, he'd gotten caught up by the trogs and had to suffer their foul stink for days on end." She shivers at the very thought. Her nose wasn't the most delicate of things, but she certainly didn't want to invite any extra insults.

"As for me, I think just hearing about that particular story made me as green as I've ever been - unless we're talking about being green with envy." She paused, tapping her chin and then shrugs her shoulders before letting her arms fall, a mischievous look appearing. "Well, in that case, I've been green plenty of times!"

The Exchange

Trade Princess Tiffany | Female grippli druid 5 | HP: 46/46 | AC: 17 / T: 13 / FF: 15 | Fort: +7, Ref: +4, Will: +8 | CMB: +5, CMD: 17 | Init: +4, Perception: +13 | Conditions: None

Tiffany smiles broadly as her joke, while not necessarily appreciated, is well-enough understood. "Oh yeah, Bebop is totally friendly! Go on Bebop, say hi." The small, warty desert toad hops off Tiffany's shoulder and onto the ground, then scurries over to Mr. Collins and jumps on his back, getting lost in his fur. "Careful, he might be hungry!"

Catherine looks at Corona for a moment, blinking her eyes. Nice?

"I ride him into battle, where I have him trample opponents beneath his hooves." Smiling as she shakes her head, she says "No, I do not think nice is the word I would choose for him."

"You can however safely pet him if you wish. He does not attack unless ordered to and I would not order him to attack a fellow Pathfinder." She puts a steadying hand on the beast's shoulder. "Although I try to keep him properly groomed, he is not a cute pet cat or dog that..."

As she is saying this, Bebop hops up on Mr. Collins.

Hey! Who allowed someone else on me!

"Snort!" Hey! You aren't Lady de Bourgh! Why if she wasn't holding me back right now...

The boar looks over at Catherine, then settles down again.

Right, if the lady allows it then so be it.

The Exchange

Looking over to Tiffany, she says "I do not think Mr. Collins found that dignified. I do agree though, Bebop seems very friendly."

Silver Crusade

Ebonwolf stars smiling broadly fur a second and then speaks "Wait a minute!" He begins digging in his pockets and in his pack. "Where did he go? A ha! Here he is." Ebonwolf produces a small greenish toad common to Brinestump Swamp south of Sandpoint "I got him years ago it seems. I think he is named Buggington though he hasn't corrected me." He says with a smile.

Buggington looks around the room and then jumps back onto Ebonwolf looking for a place to hide and sleep.

The Exchange

Looking over at Ebonwolf's toad, Catherine says "Sandpoint? I'm not sure where that is."

Silver Crusade

"Lady Catherine Sandpoint is located up north in Varisa along the the Lost Coast."

Having received permission Corona seems content to occupy herself with petting Mr. Collins and Bebop, though her eyes light up when Ebonwolf produces Buggington. "Oh boy, everyone has animal friends! This is the best day ever!"

Everyone, this is Corona's pet rock. Sorry, your name is?

That should just about complete the introductions of everyone and their faithful sidekicks.

Happy, happy. Joy, joy.
Nothing but smiles from the GM.

"Um, helloOOOoo? Do you think you can just tell me when my introduction is finished? Are you kidding me? The nerve of this guy... Pshh..." Tiffany folds her arms at GM Lorenzo and throws her nose in the air.
