I'm done for the night, guys. Let's hope the GM has enough inspirational characters in this thread to start the campaign sooner...

Plus, it's getting a little TOO crowded now

Therana looks up as Zephir reacts, her hand twitching; it wanted to pull the gun just in case there was trouble, but she restrained it. No violence made, no fights breaking out. Relax.

And then it occurred to her what she had been talking about. Right! The festival!

She then waves to Zephir. "Could you tell me more about the festival you mentioned? I'm sorry I did not reply at first; I did not know about it and had to ask. And you know how conversations drift."

GM Lord of Runes wrote:

Buzzgob, here are my replies before I cash in for the night.

1. Call it Psionic Focus, but yes. Roll With It would be useful. Arisen works well, so why the question? It doesn't have to be a divine miracle in my opinion. In fact, giving the backstory, I would say it was really bad luck!
2. My suggestion? Mind control the biggest, stupidest creature and hide behind it! ;)

Glad to hear Psionic Focus will work :)

i got 7 hp... Roll with it might be a lifesaver.
I was mostly just pointing arisen out, cause it works well with the backstory, but for its completion effect is says devine herald, panthieon or entity of the GMs choice.
Lastly, i just cast Atraction on Garox in a back alley, does that count? ^__^

As he takes a sip of his beer, Garox turns to the goblin:
"So tell me, short stuff, what are you looking for in this town. The folk here are very edgy around goblins, so you might not find a lot of good will unless someone like me vouches. And to do that, I need to know more. Otherwise, I will cut you loose after this drink."

no pvp Bozzgob :P

As the goblin munches on his rat snack, garox gets his reply in his mind.

Garox:

Well i had no intentions on coming to this town nor on getting stuck in this stupid gobli..
I is not stoopid!
Yes you are Buzz.
Oh. Ok. I keep eating.
Ahem. An unfortunate accident has left me in this pardicament and i am trying to figure out how to reverse it.
I killed him!!
... Yes. Yes you did. But you dont need to brag about it. OR remind me...
Oh. Ok. I be stoopid but you be dead.
Sigh.

Sorry Garox. It happened before you became my protector :(
No pvp from me :)

Seeing Therana wave to him, Zephir grins and , grabbing his drink, moves over to stand by her, nodding at Merick and Svalk as he does so.
"Well, I am not from here myself, but the sailors on the ship that brought me here say it is a big thing in these parts. Food competitions, games and something about Swallowtail butterflies. If you would like we could explore the festival together?"
Raising the last into a question he smiles and takes a drink of his beer.
Putting down his mug, he holds out his right hand, the left incased in a spiked gauntlet.
" By the way, I'm Zephir Stormbjorn, Chosen of Gozreh. And you are?"

"Haha, that is quite the predicament you got yourself in. Soooo what are you looking for? Magical items, something to eat besides rats, female goblin whores?".
As Garox talks he looks around the room, especially at the pretty women.
Lots of strangers tonight, couple of fine women too. Now who shall I go after once I'm done with this goblin. I am sure one of those pretty ladies won't mind paying for the tour of the coty and pay for it. Heck they might pay more for the happy ending.

A grin appears on Garox's face while looking around the room.

Therana reached to accept his hand, smiling.

"Therana Silmor. If you've been through Korvosa via ship, you've probably seen my parents."

Her right hand is gloved, while the left one is not. As she reaches, the cloak shifts to reveal the firearm at her side. Once she pulls the hand back, she quickly shifts the cloak to hide the weapon.

"I'm curious about the festival because of the temple. Do you know anything about the temple itself?"

Sandpoint huh.... well, I had best get over to there then.

He finishes his ale.

Well, you all play nice now.

He heads for the door. And pauses.

Goblin, if you need a blade before you leave, let me know. I don't typically arm your kind, but so long as you are going to behave in human towns... or dwarf ones for that matter... I don't see the harm.

This is Skyla Vanadevata, sylph Sky Druid, bane of giants and slavers everywhere

Sorry for the length of the Backstory, I like tying up traits and story feats together into a backstory, and it sort of ran away with me

Backstory:

Skyla Vanadevata was always a curious child, even for a sylph. She was raised by her human mother, never knowing who her father actually was, but as a young girl she poked her nose everywhere, determined to know everything, while keeping her sylph qualities secret. She told her mother that she felt that knowledge in as of itself would protect her, after all, forewarned is forearmed, however, she failed to comprehend the value of true privacy, and as such, she was quickly singled out and bullied by the other children, fearful of the power she might hold over them with the information she might have gleaned. Things only got worse when she, and the other children got older, and they discovered that Skyla had the potential to forecast the weather, leading to even more teasing. Things finally came to a head when a boy snuck in and spied on her as she was changing, seeing her blue markings on her body and realising that she was a sylph. The teasing that followed reduced Skyla to tears, and she ran away to be alone. Unfortunately, luck was not with Skyla, in her attempts to be alone, she found herself isolated when she ran afoul of a group of slavers operating in the area, who were not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, and added her to their group of captives.

This period marked an incredibly low point for Skyla, as she was sold to a cruel owner and acted as a servant while her owner hinted at more lewd suggestions. By night, assuming she was not confined to her owner’s room, she was shackled in a dark room with close walls, where she would dream of wide open spaces. Things continued in this way for quite a long time, but Skyla remained alert for a way of escape, and was rewarded when she brought refreshment to her master while he was entertaining a close friend of his. Skyla’s eyes light up at the sight of a spring of mistletoe on his person due to a religious ceremony , and succeeded in staying within close proximity to this friend, outwardly the dutiful servant but attempting to convey a more carnal interest. Skyla was lucky that such thoughts were never far from her master’s mind, and thus was quite happy to loan her out for a night, totally unaware that Skyla had access to her own branch of magic should she get an opportunity to use it. Late that night, Skyla stole the mistletoe, and succeeded in hiding it. A few days later, after she was chained up again, Skyla unleashed her magic, escaping her bonds and fleeing into the night.

Now free, Skyla was desperate to return home, and returned there is the first opportunity, only to return to discover it utterly destroyed by a collection of giants. With her mother nowhere to be found, and presumed dead, Skyla struck out on her own yet again, swearing vengeance against the giants that had destroyed the only true home she had, and against the slavers that had taken her away and made her life hell.

Skyla eventually settled on her own on the outskirts of Sandpoint, close enough to flee there if she encountered enemies beyond her power, or otherwise needed aid but far enough away for her to enjoy the wild open spaces, the wind in her hair, the sight of a river and so on. She walks into Sandpoint occasionally if she is lacking a crucial supply, or to gather information if there are giants or slavers operating in the area. Currently, she is in Sandpoint for the Swallowtail Festival, which she thought an appropriate way of celebrating the start of autumn.

Below is her Crunch. I'll add in starting equipment (Druids don't need / get much anyway) if I get selected, otherwise everything should be in order

Here is her planned party role

Party Role:

In general, Skyla would assist in battlefield control, with Summon Natures Ally, or spells such as Entangle. I plan to stick mostly with air / wind / weather spells mostly for flavor, but would take spells like Heal and so on to assist with the party. She would enjoy wildshaping into an Air Elemental most of all if the opportunity presented itself. She also has no problem going Mythic if the campaign goes for that long (and if she survives that long). As a player I don't mind mythic, having played in a few mythic campaigns outside of the paizo boards, and found it pretty fun. Mostly, I think she would play a support role alternating between healing spells, battlefield control, or beneficial spells such as Freedom.

Appearance and Personality is also below.

Appearance and Personality:

Skyla naturally is suspicious of new people she doesn't know, having experienced some of the nastier actions of what people are capable of. She reserves true hatred though for Giants and Slavers. naturally, she prefers to free slaves that come across her path, but currently doesn't feel confident in her abilities to actually go seeking them out, as she isn't naturally confident. Likewise, in most social situations, shes fairly shy, mostly due to being fairly isolated from others.

As far as looks go, at first glance Skyla looks like a fairly pretty humanoid, with delicate features and long silvery blonde hair that she lets fall down to her shoulders. That said, underneath her clothes, Skyla has mystical blue markings around her body, and thus often wears clothes with long sleeves to hide this, as she feels self conscious about her sylph heritage.

Plot Hooks:

O.k, so I left a few Plot hooks open if you like that sort of thing. Don't feel the need to resolve all or even any of them, I just included them if you wanted to have some more options. For instance, its entirely possible for Skyla to learn who her actual father is, if her mother is still alive, if she meets up with the giants that destroyed her village, her old master, or perhaps the original slavers that captured her, are all things she could get involved with. I'm not overly familiar with the Adventure Path however (besides reading the Players Guide), so I apologise if any of all of these are beyond the scope of the adventure.

On Virtue and Sin Selection:

O.k, so my backstory opens up a number of sins / virtues my character could be affected by, and I am loath to only pick one. Would particularly welcome GM or even other players (potential or otherwise), input on what they think best fits. For Sin, I really think she could go Wrathful if she encountered those that had hurt her. I don't think she would torture (MAYBE her previous master), but she could certainly consider killing. An alternate I thought about would be Lust as a psychological and emotional side effect of her enslavement, although I doubt she would actively "seek out" Lust, unless she was enslaved again I guess. For Virtue, I think Humility best suits such a shy person such as her, although roleplaying the Love virtue, or the Kindness virtue would be hugely fun, especially if I went with the reverse Sin, and feel the push/pull aspect of both.

Lastly, if anyone has anything further they would like me to explain, or add I have no problems at all doing so. This is a character thats pretty dear to me, its just difficult to find GMs that allow obscure races such as a Sylph in their games!

First, don't apologize for your length of backstory. I think I speak for everyone here when I say that the more you put into your story, the more invested you (and thus the rest of us) can become in your character. Greater investment in the character means better roleplay, which ultimately means a higher quality told story than otherwise possible. In short: All of us have more fun.

Second, I am surprised to hear that more GMs don't allow sylphs... they are probably the coolest elemental half-humans in the game (at least in my humble opinion, followed closely by the Ifrits, the Undines, and way in the back the Oreads). I think it would be awesome to have one along... so, I am definately hoping you get picked (as well as myself).

Third, sin/virtue input, since you asked. Wrath might be a sin, but I don't get that vibe from your painting of her... maybe on occasion, but in those occasions I would almost say it would be justified, and contained to those it was justified to (I could see her not giving quarter to slavers she encounters, but I doubt she would burn down an entire town of innocents to get to them). Lust is always an option, but again I just don't see it. Now something I do see is potential for Envy. People often make the mistake of confusing it with just coveting another's goods, and perhaps relationships. It can, however, extend much farther... much subtler... to include envying ones' race, ones' belonging in the community, or even ones' community period. And that I can totally see Skyla falling into... knowingly or not. Virtue I think you nail: kindness or love would be the proper counter to that envy. Or at least, that is what I see.

Good luck, and glad you applied!

Yea most GMs feel comfortable with Core Only Races which is totally fine but it takes away some really cool archetypes :(

Anyway, thank you so much for the feedback, you are 100% correct that I saw Envy as wanting material wealth, and I totally ignored the other types of envy. I think Skyla could easily covert the happy lives other people had, for instance none of them were enslaved, many of them actually had proper family relationships, friends etc, and I think Skyla misses this a little, although I'm not sure she could admit that to herself yet. Assuming the GM (and players assuming I even make it in), would be ok with this interpretation, I think I'll make my dominant Sin being Envy.

Once again, thanks so much for taking the time to post and give your own advice on my character, it means a lot. I wish you the best of luck in getting in!

Presenting my character GM, I am trying to come up with his virtue/sin and am looking to expanding his backstory. This is the rough sketch for now, feel free people to advise me on the virtue/sin fellow players... I am stumped.

When someone says that someone has "lost their humanity", it frequently can be interpreted as lacking in mercy or kindness. This looks like Wrath to me (from looking at some of the examples the GM gave us). Alternatively, you could make a claim for envy / greed due to his impoverished lifestyle.

For Virtues...you could try going for Zeal. Personally, your character looks like he enjoys the search for knowledge and power, and thus you can apply his drive, his energy for power as "Zeal", and roleplay that out as a virtue.

Satinger Moor wrote:

A bit brief, but a nice premise... it sounds like you are setting up an anti-hero almost... or someone who is a villain but on the same side as the good characters due to greater foes. That kind of thing.

As such, pegging a virtue is a bit hard. Kindess and love are pretty much out, as is (most likely) generousity. I might suggest Zeal. Zeal for gaining knowledge, for gaining power, for creating stability. Perhaps a zeal to create a new world order in his image... a twisted place, given its creator... but one that conforms to his sense of "justice". If that doesn't tickle your fancy, try temporance. The best twisted power seeking types often are temporate... they know they need to be patient to get what they truly want, and will deny themselves lesser pleasures along the way to achieve their ultimate goal.

Vice is a bit more fun: Pride is an obvious choice, given his amount of knowledge and sense of superiority... but it might be too obvious too. Greed and wrath might be as good of a choice, depending on play style. I'd advise against sloth and glutteny... seems to me if he was the type to fall into those he never would have crawled out from under the Underbridge gutters.

Anyway, that is my two cents. Hope it is helpfull.

Wow, this thread really blew up while I was asleep. I'm working on my character now and will hopefully have at least a rough draft for you by the end of the day.

I won't say that you should rush... but I will say that I have counted (including myself) 21 applicants so far. Which is honestly impressive, especially since many (hell, who am I fibbing... MOST) are exeptionally well crafted. A real shame that we can't just decend upon Sandpoint like some .... barbarian horde of yesteryear... that would be a sight.

I'd advise (take for what it is worth) that you take your time in crafting your character... a few hours additional to make a great story might be what really helps you edge out the competition.

Good luck to you in you crafting... and...

Imitating Effie from The Hunger Games "May the odds ever be in your favor!"

Merick snaps out of his reverie, just in time for a goblin to wander in. He takes another pull off his drink, loosening his sword in its scabbard with his left hand. Why? Because you never know. Not with goblins. He notes the threat from the man accompanying the goblin with a frown, but says nothing, turning back to the woman beside him (and the gentleman that is also there now). He opens his mouth to speak, then pauses as he notes the boom-stick on her side.

Why me, Sarenrae?

She's seemed pleasant enough so far, and the man as well, so no sense retreating at this point. He eyed his ale dubiously...it couldn't possibly be drink-induced bad decision-making so early. Oh well.

"What could be under a temple that would be interesting? Isn't that usually where they inter the dead?"

Knowing his luck, she would turn out to be a gun-wielding one of those nepro, nefro, necromagi something or other's. The ones who raise the zombie armies.

They built a temple? Last I was there there was just a small church. Place must have really grown over the last fifteen years. Wonder if that is where...

Svalk, who hadn't really left the inn yet and overheard the other warrior's questions, falls silent. He grips his dwarven waraxe again, but this time not in preparation for trouble. The glove covering his left hand creaks as it stretches from the clenching of his other fist.

The moment passes and he shakes it off.

Well, swordsman, you seem to be better informed than me. Would I find a dead person there or not? Perhaps I might have someone to pay respects to after all the celebrating is finished.

His cold blue eyes are clearly looking at Merick, but at the same time he probably can sense that he only has half of his attention at best.

Sovereign Court

A group of rowdy youngsters enter the bar under a lot of noise. They take their usual table and continue to talk loudly to each other, making jokes and drinking beer once the barmaid came past.
Among them is a striking looking elf with blond hair and strange black eyes. As the barmaid leaves her skirt suddenly lifts giving the men a good look at her underwear. This releases a lot of "WOOOOOOOO's" from the men. Upon which the girl turns around and talks to the elf "Oi Tal! Not today, we have strangers a foot. Might be there is a nice gentleman noble or even a prince among them to swoop me away. Can't have them see my goods for free now can we."

The elf returns a smile and says: "Ah Marianne, if only that were true. At least one of us would escape this shithole of a town. I promise I will leave you alone for the day." He adds a wink with the last sentence.

Tal looks around the bar while his companions continue to tell stories of dares they did for the day. His eyebrow rises at the sight of the goblin hiding behind Garox's leg and yells across the room: "Garox! Whats this then. Will you be taking other non-humans around town as well now? Soon we will have gnolls and orcs strutting around the town if we let you!"

The second mug quickly followed the first down to whatever pit Merick stored them in, and he turned to face the icy-eyed questioner. One glance is all it takes for him to tap his pewter on the bar in what he hopes is the universal sign of refill.

"Aye, I feel quite confident that you would find a dead person there, friend, if that is your intent."

Seemed like a strange conversation to be having, now that he thought about it. Maybe he should just stop thinking. It was bound to happen anyway. Merick gives a forlorn sigh, wipes away his self-pity and 'gulp', another swallow of his newly-refilled foamy beer finds its way into his mouth.

I'd love to join this game

Idea so far is for a Demodand spawn Tiefling Warpriest of Ashava. She'd be in Sandpoint to visit her great-great aunt Niska Mvashti in hopes of receiving some guidance to deal with the curse running through her veins.

Virtue: Humility (though she might push it into the negative)
Sin: Envy (directly related to the negative aspect of the humility)

Therana pondered what may be beneath the temple a moment.

"I'm not interested in dead bodies so much as if the temple is built on top of any ruins. That sometimes happens."

She shook her head. "Probably nothing there. But, even if no temple, they might have records of the past worth reading."

Or it might be a waste of time.

She took a sip of her water, pondering that possibility.

I was interested but all these exceptional characters I don't really have a shot. Good luck to those whose have made a submission.

It was, or at least the old church was. Not sure if it is the same spot, but it used to be an old worshiping place to the Varisian caravans.

Svalk says to the woman.

I hope you are right, swordsman. My mother might have been buried there. I was summoned to put her affairs in order... but she died years ago. The messanger had trouble catching up to me, given how much I was on the move... hell, by Torag it was a miracle that he both kept on the hunt AND found me at all, truthfully.

Here Svalk touches a small rune imblazed on his glove.

He cocks his head quizzically at the heat-packing woman on his right.

"You some kind of treasure hunter? Or one of those historian people?" He guessed the former, by the looks of her. She didn't seem stupid, but he couldn't imagine her sitting in a library poring over thick dusty tomes, either.

Here we go...

"By the by, have you noticed anything peculiar in your travels? Heard mention of a strange creature around these parts?"He briefly flicks his eyes to the two gentlemen."Or you fellows?"

He nods to the rune-touching man, clearly his elder, and raises his drink.

"I am sorry for your loss. Let us drink to her health!"

A long pull taken, he wipes his mouth with the back of his hand.

Depends on what you qualify as peculiar. And these parts... prior to now I was in the lands to the east. Lots of "peculiar" things in the realms of the Mammoth Lords... and even more in the Linnorm Kings lands, home of my bloodline.

He grabs another ale, since he is still a tad thirsty and the axe was worth at least three.

Anything in particular that you are hunting? I might not have seen it but I certainly can help arm and armor you... perhaps even give you a bit of tactical advice on how to fight it.

Svalk solomly drinks. After a minute, he speaks in his native language.

Skald:
May you find peace, mother. I will avenge you.

He nods to the swordsman, as well as the lady... and is surprised by the elf that seems to know the goblin's friend.

I'm going to have to drop this one unfortunately. Good luck all.

Harahel quietly wandered through the town of Sandpoint, occasionally stopping by buildings and other locales simply to take a look at their architecture and see how they were doing. Very few people understood the details of her nature... and wasn't that normal? How did you really explain the world you saw to others when they couldn't see or comprehend it at all? When most people saw a brick, for example... they just saw a brick. She saw the physical form, but also the underlying fabric of reality. With just a small tug, the universe itself would tell her things like what the brick was made of, who touched it, where it had been formed... of course, that took power, so she tried to save it for the things she was truly curious about. Otherwise she would have never even needed to leave home. Experiencing things in person was much more fun, though, and while she was here she really did want to learn more about the magic of the area.

The various species of the world had so many different systems for doing things. None of it really matched the most ancient powers, but then, it didn't really need to. So many people searched for something even better without realizing that what they already had was good enough... and the results made her want to see them in person. She chuckled slightly, then continued on her path through the city. She'd mostly exhausted the things here, so it was time to move on, and it might be wiser to find some people she could travel with...

"Only if I get paid enough for it Tal! But this guy is harmless. Nothing to worry your pretty eyes about." Garox jokes back.

Garox and Tal are both from Sandpoint. Garox raised and Tal only recently because he is in hiding. Both are available for this game Silver. The other game needed clerics and tanks :(

Heh... have to ask Jolly, which would you prefer playing given the choice? They are both interesting....

Wow, we seem to have a lot of people being intimidated and not joining. That's kinda crazy lol. Anyways Skyla, I like your character, I don't see anything wrong with it myself. As for the slyph, it really depends on the person running the game and how comfortable they are with uncommon races. Myself personally, I don't care as long as it's not something completely unbelievable, like someone playing a drow paladin who got the key to a major city when they were young or a strix who was supposedly the leader of a large group and was well known as a hero.

That being said, it also heavily depends on the understanding between player and GM. How does the GM run those races, what's known about them in the world, how does the world react to them, so on and so forth. So I don't think that it's so much of they only want core, but more like they don't want the hassle of trying to get everyone on the same page for that race. But those plot hooks would definitely play into this AP very well lol.

Addressing the pale-eyed fellow, Merick's cheeks brighten a little. He knew this was likely a dead lead, but he had to hash it out to the bitter end. It was in his nature.

"Twould look like a cross between our friend over there" He points at Buzzgob, "and a wolf, or perhaps he would only have certain features of a wolf. I've heard it told both ways."

He ignores the man's foreign drivel. No doubt a toast to the dead. A flush of heat crept up his face as he took another long drink. Ahhhh...that was better. Dull the senses, don't think about home. Or about his so-far inept career.

Aw man that is hard. The wizard has so much versatility, especially later on.

But I think I would go for Garox, I like the personality, build and sin/virtue combination. He's a hopeless chivalrous romantic who can't help but fall for beautiful women. If he comes across a succubus he is doomed ;). And I have never played a real true rogue before.

But I seriously would enjoy playing either.

Or the gnome synthesist ;). Who wouldn't want to play a gnome version of Iron man :P.

As many people have alluded to, or stated outright, this thread is filling up fast with wonderful applicants. So I do not have to disappoint a horde of awesome players, I will be closing recruitment in 24 hours. Don't worry about your stats at the moment, because all I need is the basics (Race/Class/Alignment/Sin/Virtue/Story Feat,) and the fluff for the character. Once recruitment is closed, I will take another 24 hours to review characters. Then, you guessed it, 24 hours later, I will make my selections. The players will then have the remaining portion of the week (2 days, I believe,) to finalize any fluff, fix any crunch problems, tweak any statistics, ect. Then, obviously, the campaign shall begin! And I will be recruiting 6 characters, because there are SO many exceptional characters involved! :)

Sczarni

So, as fun as this was, if we are accepted into the campaign, would this thread be considered non-canon in terms of the events that took place?

Depends on popular vote amongst the selected! :)

As to story feats, Tal clearly has Nemesis which is a Taldor noble with a half burnt beard ;).

For Garox either Forgotten Past or Lost Legacy, depending on what the GM has in mind. He was found as a young boy and raised by a guardsman of Sandpoint (if the city is large enough to have proper guardsmen). I think getting to the bottom of his history offers great opportunities. He's too much of a playboy to be tied down by one girl anyway ;).

Those who have not joined the tavern for RP yet, it's not a requirement, but it could help me immensely in determining your RP style and, thus, help in the selection process.

Satinder is in there, just kind of waiting for someone to join him at his table lol. There was already plenty going on so I figured I'd give way to opportunity for something new to happen.

I exist!

One thing I would suggest is that the Sin/Virtue be somewhat fluid and also somewhat under GM control. For example, our base could be determined by the actions we take in the first book. That way it would be an interesting way that we come to know our characters.

Silver Crusade

I will be posting mine shortly. Was stuck out of the house all day yesterday.

Sorry for the lack of posting for a bit. I was at a job interview.

Also, wilders and psions are casters ;)

Therana nodded at Svalk. "I am sorry for your loss. It's always sad when family passes."

She fell silent for a moment, before looking to Merick. "Historian. I'm interested in the culture. Treasure, well..." She smiles. "Treasure is good, but knowledge is better."

She then looked to the goblin.

"Now, what makes me curious is what he is here for."

Adjinakou, I asked for the sin/virtue thing, because I think everyone knows their character's personality well enough to decide, but you make a fair point. Therefore, see below.

ATTENTION! SIN AND VIRTUE VALUES BEGIN AT 0 AND, BASED ON PC ACTIONS, THE 'CORE' SIN AND VIRTUE OF A CHARACTER WILL BE DETERMINED BY ME! MAKES SENSE, SINCE IT HAS BROUGHT SOME LEVEL OF CONFUSION. AN OUTSIDE OBSERVER HAS, PERHAPS, A BETTER VIEW!

Background added

*Slips quietly into the bar and takes a seat*

*After looking around orders a glass of milk and a small meal of bread vegetables and cheese. He begins eating while idly using one hand to trace some of the Tattoo on his neck.*

Hmmmm...well he called that one wrong. Not unusual. He follows her gaze to the goblin, amusement coloring his voice.

"Obviously he needed a nice cool place to eat his meal. Can't expect a fellow to chuck down a rat in the street, can you?"

His head was feeling the foreshadowing buzzing he was looking for, and he relaxed a little, his shoulders slumping as he rested his left elbow on the bar. He asked in a tone of polite curiosity,"Any specific knowledge you are searching for? The holy father, Zantus, I believe his name is, might be able to help you if you inquire."

So, Talori's role is kind of a wingwoman for anybody. She has a good blast manifestation, a decent dazing manifestation, and a manifestation that will let the sneaky people sneak around better (-4 on Perception and Sense Motive vs. Target). Talori is an amazing face (she has all of the skills necessary for it) and has a decent AC, attack bonus, and damage roll. Basically, she's whatever she needs to be at that moment.

Also, are there any visible signs of Trygvve being a Scarzni?

Talori continues to munch on her food. "Never really traveled much, to be honest. I got run out of Kaer Maga a week back. I got drunk at a tournament one night, got cocky, and lost tons of money. I turned to loan sharks. It was pretty much out of the frying pan and into the fire after that. I went on the run, unable to scrounge up enough money in time to pay the sharks back with interest. Don't know why they've been traveling half of a continent to get me, though."

"As for food? Well, I was raised on the streets. Eventually crawled my way out of the muck by gambling. I've always appreciated good food-and a lot of it."

As Talori tells her story, Trygvve can probably start remembering something a contact told him: Yeah, this little girl. Crucial in laundering some dirty money. Really dirty money. She skipped town on us about a week back. One thing you can remember about her are those glowing, golden eyes-and her penchant for towers. Didn't catch her name, though. The boss in on the run right now, actually. If you see her, catch her.

Here's my suggestion: because of all of the awesome characters running amok here, I would suggest that you run two, maybe even three tables if you feel like you can't let go of a few concepts. That way, almost all of the people here get in.
