GM_Loki's Hand of Corruption: Fallen Angels
Game Master Lokio

You have turned your back on the Imperium, and abandoned the oppressive society of mankind. Now you fight for new masters, or only for yourself, to gain plunder, glory, and infamy. Perhaps you will gain enough power to command your own Black Crusade!

My current Black Crusade game being full and having more people wish to play, I'm opening up recruitment for a second group to give it a go.

Cheliax

Boom! I'm in! Same character creation rules as the first game, or are you going to change it up?

Edit: Also, should I refrain from reading any more of your existing "Hand of Corruption" game?

Just chiming in to encourage fellow Heretics out there hehehe

I would love to play! I will need to get my hands on the Black Crusade core as it is the only one of them I don't have in some format. I only skimmed the character creation conversation in the Group A discussion, so I will get to reading the special rules right away. While I do not own the Core, I have looked through it, so I realize there are several differences to the character creation. As I am very familiar with the forces of Chaos due to being an avid WFRP player, I am confidant this will go smoothly.

You had intimated the possibility of Group B allowing or being CSMs. Would we be needing to plan on that or choose a different path?

The CSM thing was an idea I had been toying with. When I began planning this campaign, I was operating under the impression that certain parts of the adventures would be very difficult with astartes present. After going through the FF forums about the same topic (chiefly how to keep all the 7' tall slabs of muscle from drawing undue attention), I've found that there are numerous ways and reasons that marines would have only a little more difficulty blending in than a mortal would. Especially once every one starts mutating.

On a separate note though, is that I've noticed that mixed groups can be a little quirky. Basically the marines are great at killing stuff, while inept at basically anything else. Whereas mortal plays get to have fun until combat starts when they get to watch marines kill everything.

I think in the end I'll leave it up to group vote: all marines, all humans, or mixed.

I have no strong feelings one way or the other. I'm down with whatever everyone else wants.

This.

Unless you are wanting to run the group as CSMs, i would probably choose a different archetype. I am, however, 100% happy to be a badass CSM if that is your desire.

Cheliax

Nobody's really piped up on this thread in a few days, so I figured I'd give it a bump.

Hopefully there's a few more heretics out there interested in bringing war to Imperium of Man.

Shadow Lodge

I think I might like to give it a go.

If no more takers by Wednesday, I'll close the recruitment and run with three. I think it'll be alright. Should we be going with three, let's do astartes . It'll be interesting to see how it differs from the other group.

I would be interested, I have played all of the other Fantasy Flight 40k RPGs and would love to give Black Crusade a try.

Cheliax

Huzzah! A fourth!

Assuming we're going to be going forward with chaos space marines, I'll start thinking up a concept to pitch tomorrow.

Leaning towards a Forsaken Noise-Marine build - but may go with something different. We'll see.

I'd like to express interest here. :) Are you planning on going the CSM route, or might there be space for a miltary based heretek?

I believe I will have to bow out this time, regrettably. I don't think I will be able to get my hands on the Black Crusade core book in time to get started. Another run perhaps. :)

@Retias: To me, I just can't wrap my head around the two working together, more from a fluff perspective than anything else. Might we make a compromise and allow you to play the heretek archetype but with the underlying csm characteristics and benefits? A corrupted techmarine perhaps?

Also I find that this conversation would be much better placed in the Discussion Thread.

I would like to express my interest in joining this group, if there is still space available of course.

Cheliax

We're still early on enough that it could be possible - and I *personally* have no issue with a sixth player - but it's GM_Loki's decision.

I assume he just hasn't noticed your interest, as he's running two simultaneous games.

Ya, I noticed and I realized I might have been a bit hasty with making that last remark so I deleted it. Sorry for the trouble. :P

Cheliax

No worries! :)
