Thorgull Kjalderssen |
I'm sad to read that, Virgil! I hope that you'll get better soon. It was a pleasure to play with you.
Welcome aboard, pedwiddle :)
Thorgull Kjalderssen |
#93583-18 Tesson. Thank you! :)
Virgil Ardelean |
If you could assign it to #129255-10 please.
You've got a good group Pedwiddle. Enjoy.
Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |
#73433 - 24 Libertus of the Chain for me please!
I'll be sad to see you go, Virgil!
Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |
Thanks!
Zadok Allendil |
Got it saved, thanks!
And I mentioned in other games but maybe not this one: I'm traveling right now and leaving for Hawaii soon from Dec 22-31. I'll be offline the whole time so bot Zadok as needed.
GM Lithrac |
We'll take some time off right now. The Christmas holiday is ahead and I'm sure we'll all be very busy, so let's take a break.
Moreover, you can advance your character to level 4 and 2nd Mythic Tier! The group is changing, and the rules are changing too since the house rules & mythic adjustments now come fully in effect.
As a side note, please claim the loot you've found. There's a lot of unclaimed loot on the loot sheet.
Thorgull Kjalderssen |
Thank you! :)
Thorgull Kjalderssen |
Is it on purpose that we can't edit the spreadsheet?
wand of infernal healing (42 ch)
icicle wand (42 charges)
cloak of the hedge wizard (abjuration) (also acts as a cloak of resistance +1)
two scrolls of comprehend languages
scroll of dispel magic
scroll of Irriseni mirror sight
Thorgull Kjalderssen |
oh you're right, I saw it but I skipped it without any reasons ^^
Zadok Allendil |
Awesome!
I won't be able to level up until I get back in January so a short break is probably a good idea.
I claimed some items on the spreadsheet as well and put suggestions next to others.
Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |
Giri is updated!
It took me a bit longer than it should have, but I think my character is legitimate!
Hopefully, once I get a few more levels, I can keep buffs rolling so that I actually do damage and am not so squishy.
--Changes--
BAB: +1
HP: +12 (5 Base + 2 Con + 1 FCB + 4 Hierophant)

Questions: I'm thinking about taking Mythic Spell Lore as my Tier 3 feat. Can I pick Mythic Mage Armor and then cast the Mage Armor from my Tetsubo as Mythic?
Additionally, since I didn't realize that Mage Armor was a possibility, much less Mythic Mage Armor, can I swap my Bonded Holy Symbol (Cleric Ability) for something other than Bracers of Armor as they will be largely useless now?
@Thorgull: Are you picking up Mythic Mage Armor? Would you be willing to use it on me daily? It would boost my AC substantially. :D
Zadok Allendil |
Ok, I'm technically back from vacation but I won't be back in Madison until Monday night so it will be a few more days before I can update Zadok. But I'm ready to keep moving whenever everyone else is. Excited to keep going!
GM Lithrac |
No worries EF! We're waiting until everyone is ready until we move on.
Giri, from what I understand mage armor is actually cast by your weapon, so casting it as a mythic spell would be much beyond the power's intent. If the spell is actually cast by you then it would be a yes.

Zadok Allendil |
Ok, Zadok is updated and ready to go!
Initiative increased to +4
Also, we essentially have an extra Mythic Feat with your changes, right? I just picked up another Mythic Spell Lore so Zadok has lots of mythic spells! I also got Faith's Reach so he can cast touch spells at 30' now. Yay ranged mythic healing! Who needs a cleric anyways?
Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |
@Lithrac: Makes sense, just checking!
Thoughts on swapping my bonded holy item?
@Thorgull: Thoughts on Mythic Mage Armor?
@Zadok: You got something against clerics?! #fakerage

Maligoth Furyborne |
BTW, I think I'm done fiddling with Maligoth (though I did briefly toy with the idea of making him a gnome bloodrider bloodrager).
My concept for him was, in a nutshell, someone that would be able to charge ahead of the party and use his abundant reach and attacks of opportunity to try cause enough pain and mischief to be the main target of any BBEG's. Hopefully, this will result in keeping them away from the squishier members of the party.
If anyone has any thoughts, comments, etc., let me know.
Thorgull Kjalderssen |
@Everyone: Sorry, I'm a little slowed these times. And it will last until the end of January-mid February when I'll discuss my master's dissertation.
@Giri: I'll take a look at that. That's not what I intended to take with a mythic feat at first, but I'll take a look anyway.
@Pedwiddle/Maligoth: Looks nice! But you shouldn't have told us about the gnome, now I'm almost disappointed of the half-orc cliché ;)
Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |
@Maligoth: I highly encourage you to play whatever you would like to play and will bring you the most enjoyment. :D Whether it meshes perfectly with the group is up to you, but if you wanted to play a Pacifist Cardinal Cleric or a Thieving Rogue of Rovagug, I wouldn't care as a player. ;-)
As for your build, I am not familiar with Bloodragers, so I can't really comment, but it looks like it is done competently. More so than Giri!
@Thorgull: First, good luck on the dissertation! Been through it myself and I understand how nerve-wracking it is.
As for Mythic Mage Armor, it isn't super important, but would be appreciated. Giri will be buffing himself and the party a lot with his cleric spells, so the extra +2 isn't that important. Only consider it if you can't think of a Mythic Spell to pick up.

Also, Giri is ready!
Thorgull Kjalderssen |
@Giri: Thank you :)
--Changes--
BAB: +1
HP: +10 (4 Base + 2 Con + 1 FCB + 3 Archmage) ; HP adjusted, it looks like I forgot the +3 from the Archmage mythic path when Thorgull went tier 1.
Saves: +1 Will
Spells: Learned Glitterdust and Web
Stat increase: +1 Intelligence
Mythic Feat: Extra Mythic Power
Mythic Ability Modifier: +2 Intelligence
Mythic Spell learned from Mythic Spell Lore (picked at tier 1): Enlarge Person
Updated to the new Skill System.
Initiative bumps to +10.
All that still remains is to choose a mythic path ability, I'll try to do that tomorrow.
Thorgull Kjalderssen |
There, it took way more time than I expected, but Thorgull is finally fully updated.
Mythic Path: Mythic School (Void)
I apologize once again for the delay!
Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |
Sold off everything no one claimed and added half the value to the Party Gold.
Giri wants some stuff, but nothing is jumping out at him at the moment.
Thorgull Kjalderssen |
Nice! Thank you for doing that. That said, there are still objects that are unclaimed and can be of good use. What about someone (not Thorgull, please) takes them and carries them during the game?
GM Lithrac |
Hey everyone,
I've been swamped with work this week, and haven't been able to post as often as I would have liked. My PFS game is currently in its last fight (or not, depends on them actually), so I'll be much more available and focused when that's over.
In the meantime, I have created a slide on the googledocc document for everyone to put their macros to be copy/pasted easily. It's first and foremost for Maligoth's Combat Reflexes AoOs so that we don't delay the fight with frequent retcons, but everyone is welcome to put their very frequent macros there - just remember to keep them up to date. I've also included Initative and Perception, so please keep them up to date when you level up.
Looking forward to continue!
Thorgull Kjalderssen |
Hey guys, I'm going four days in holiday in Edinburgh from tomorrow. I'll do my best to update the game once a day at least. :)
If I'm holding things, please bot me, everything should be in my "macro" spoiler on my profile.
GM Lithrac |
Hey everyone,
My family life is more and more demanding every week, to the point where I have to redefine my priorities completely. As a result, I will eventually completely stop playing PbP, since that format takes for me the most time on a daily basis, and isn't very compatible with my life as a father and husband. I thought I could do PbP as well as my other occupations/roles, but it turns out that I can't. I'm really sorry about it all.
As for my other, shorter-lasting games (PFS/modules - since Bold Strider is concerned with the latter), I'll play the currently active ones until the end, but won't be picking any new games after that.
I would like to address a heartfelt "thank you" for your continued patience with me, as well as your many efforts to make this campaign (and the many others we have played together) live!
Zadok Allendil |
I completely understand, GM!
PbP can be a timely medium and one that demands a consistent schedule which is just hard for most people. In the past year I've cut my own games to much fewer than they were before and it is still sometimes too much for me. In about two months when I move and start working at a new job that will keep me away from the computer more and more, I'll probably look at limiting my play even more and I'm not sure I'll be able to keep it up either once we start a family. It's just too much of a commitment. So I totally understand your perspective. But thanks for running such great games over the past couple years!
Pedwiddle |
As a husband and father of 4 myself (with 2 full-time jobs, to boot) I certainly understand the sentiment. As much as I enjoy those games that you've GM'ed for me, RL comes first. That said, I'll second EndlessForms' thanks; you're one of the best GM's I've had the pleasure to play with on the boards here. I appreciate your efforts, and hope that adjusting your priorities helps!
Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |
It will be sad to see you go, Lithrac! You were one of the originals! However, I echo your sentiments as well. PbP is certainly time-consuming, especially when you wish to post more than just some minor text and a dice roll.
Anyway, you are always welcome at my tables if you wish to come back sometime in the future.
Don't be a stranger!
(Also, it was good meeting you for the albeit short time, Pedwiddle!)
Thorgull Kjalderssen |
As I already said via mail and message, I fully understand.
I'm glad to be one of the lucky few that continue to have you as an IRL GM. ^^
