Do we think there's more to do here, or is this just giving us essentially a bigger awareness of the map, and we can't see a direct correlation between using controls here and sites we have yet to explore?

Suddenly remembering Seri asked a very relevent question, the smasaran thinks. "Seri, if that thing's asking about the environment are we sure we want the 'right' environment? Right now we can breathe: I'm not sure making this place like those four-armed things would wnat would guarantee that still applies."

Close examination makes it clear that the controls refer specifically to the dome itself, rather than the surrounding structures.

Everything valuable in this room appears bolted to the floor. The loose debris seems to be worthless junk.

Unless you want to try fiddling with settings, there's yellow, purple, or back through the malfunctioning room to red.

Silver Crusade

A large metal table is surrounded by odd-looking chairs in this room. To the west, what appears to be a transparent wall looks out over a strange desert valley. Four pillars support the fifteen- foot-high ceiling, while dozens of crude images of a pickaxe made of a skull and bones have been painted onto the walls with some sort of ivory pigment along with several phrases in an unrecognizable alphabet.

Periodically, there's a bright flash of light from the wall, as the surface of the dome glows white with a bluish tint before quickly extinguishing.

DC 17 Religion:

The pickaxe is the unholy symbol of Zyphus, the god of accidental death and tragedy, though these crude images seem to have been made by someone who had never seen an actual portrayal.

A wretched, emaciated creature with leathery skin and sunken eyes waits for you. Clearly the same sort of creature as the skeletons in the dome, it wears little more than a flowing red cape covering the lower half of its face. Two of its four arms hold exotic-looking swords.

    Selkania recognizes that this creature is a form of intelligent zombie, animated through strange forces commonly referred to as "juju." She remembers that it has other resistances, but can't remember them in the heat of the moment.

    Viv doesn't prove very disruptive, as the mass of combatants makes it hard to aim. Dr. N's aim is better, hitting the creature in the sternum, but the bullet falls to the ground with a gentle plink Fortunately, it distracts the zombie enough for Seri to jab his rapier.

    It backs away from most of you, turning its attentions to Seri. Its multi-armed assault is almost dizzying to watch, but ultimately only one fist connects.

    After his hasty retreat, Ray pivots and reassesses the situation. Recognizing he has lost the focus of the creature that has turned upon Seri.

    Calculating the probability the creature resumes its strikes at him again and assessing the best course to return to striking with his polearm, Ray crouches then leaps onto the table.

    Leap on the table and strike from over Vaughn. Usually I go with DC5 to jump onto a table, but maybe DC10 if it's high?

    He takes a 5' step to continue the flank. He also makes himself less of a direct threat by simply trying to distract the creature, to make it easier for Vaughn to hit.
