also agreed to kinda-sorta take over a Gameday game that had some issues and so I've had to spend a little time this evening getting oriented for that.

^Heh! Not backing out, the 'kinda-sorta' is more because it's a bit of a special case compared to most games that end up being taken over by another GM. In any case, happy to help :)

By the way, if we're not in a time crunch, Meredith will cast Guidance on anyone who wants it.

Serge doesn't have Detect Magic and therefore couldn't really make those checks, but let's let him think he could since he failed anyway.

A note: for the next several days (Thursday through Tuesday, sans Sunday) I will be working and so my posting will be largely limited to the evenings CST - so don't panic if you don't see any posts from me earlier in the day on those days :)

Hey guys, I am sooo sorry for not posting yesterday! I got home late from work and totally crashed. Today I've got an out of town baby shower to go to but I will get a post up when I get home tonight!

I'm silly and kept confusing an axebeak and a roc, which is why I asked about flying - my mistake :)

By the way folks, I apologize if the game seems to be moving a bit slowly right now - part of that is the way that the scenario is set up and part of it is because it's been hard for me to do more than a post per day due to work and other stuff. I hope everyone is enjoying themselves though and, as always, if there are any concerns or questions about anything then please feel free to share them here or send me a PM!

Not that I think anyone in this group wonders, but I'm finding that unless I need to do something pretty simplistic, I prefer composing GM posts at home. Player posts I can generally fire off during slow moments at work but GM posts tend to require a bit more concentration to do. So, if you've ever seen me active elsewhere on the forums and been like, "GM Y U NO POST FOR US!?!?!" - that's usually why :P

Oh ya no worries. Makes sense to get a real GM post in front of a computer with some time on your hands, and if needed and able toss in a short post or two to answer questions, etc during the day.

I usually have about 90% of my GM posts in Google Docs/Slides, honestly. It takes a while to prep a given scenario but it takes the pressure off.

Anyway, take your time adding an accent for this talking sword, I love it.

Good call on the ring of feather fall, I can't think of a better item to get past this particular obstacle. The question is... how come its stowed in your pack and not on your finger? That's the kind of karma that'll get you pit trapped to death!

Dang. I hope that's 110mi total! I guess I've gone 180 round trip before to play with friends.

Nah, that's 110 miles one way. If something comes up on Warhorn that I want to play in, can be off or take off work for that's within a 200 mile radius, I'll play in it. I try do this about once a month. This is important because it's my very first PFS 99 (special) event.

Sorry for the rather long delay in posts there folks! They're not super common but sometimes I have moments where my focus is off and my mood is off and I find myself unable to get much of anything accomplished besides sleeping for 12+ hours at a time. Last night was one of those moments, but today/tonight I'm feeling much better and ready to give things a good kick in the tires :)

And in other news, I've heard from Marcel's player that he survived the Solstice Scar - and presumably had a good time doing it :D

Hey guys, I've got work all day tomorrow and then I'll be heading out to see The Last Jedi with friends and family once I get home. If I've got any slow moments during work I'll try to sneak in a post but otherwise I'll catch up with the game either late tomorrow night or Tuesday :)

And yep, the sleep helped muchly!

Movie was great, I know I enjoyed it and everyone that I went with seemed to enjoy it as well :)

Marcel: There are rules for sniping as it looks like that's what you're trying to do. The only reason I know about it is I've recently looked into it for a grippli ranger. Not sure what bonuses you may have for stealth but its pretty hard to do without a good roll or lots of nicely stacked bonuses. Luckily, the cavalry (literally!) is arriving.

Sniping: If you've already successfully used Stealth at least 10 feet from your target, you can make one ranged attack and then immediately use Stealth again. You take a –20 penalty on your Stealth check to maintain your obscured location.

While Luurg is correct, Marcel did roll a 20 on his stealth check.
Also, he's at the top of the initiative order, so they are still flatfooted.

Happy New Year guys! Work and sinus crud have left me a little busy (and tired, I got home from work last night and went straight to bed) but I'll get you all moved along today asap :)

Chances are I won't have a late morning/early afternoon post like I usually do. I've got some early errands to run. I should be able to post late that night after work unless I get home with time to spare before work, but don't count on it.
