"Rather plain girl with dark hair and freckles, though she is still but a young girl and probably to young for the advances of an older man."

Just wanted to point out Aodan found something before Zilchus.

Zilch loses interest, but makes a mental note. He trusts the scribes to take note of the details.

"Oh, younger, huh? Yeah, if we see her while we're on our other really important work, we'll pick her up. Girls like that never forget the hero who saves them."

Zilch waits, still hoarding his money. He does not need to buy anything but is happy to help others find things if they need help.

Zilch cuts the cheese as he waits.

Candrana rolls her eyes at Zilch, but waits until they are outside before she speaks to him. After people are done shopping. Don't rush on my account. "Zilchus, I realize you are only human, but do you have to be so committed to be such an awful specimen of it? Quick picking your ears, your nose, your your your..." her eyes slide to his lazy backside, then snap back to his face.

"And stay away from the young girls in town, you lech! If we're a little worried about what the townspeople will do over a few kobolds, we should be down right terrified of what might happen if you go near their children. I've heard all about how... concerned... humans can be over the sexuality of their children and I do NOT want to be tarred and feathered because of you're... poor judgment."

Turning on her heel, she stalks of towards the river, tossing back over hear shoulder, "Just keep it in your pants until we're out of here and in a bigger town."

He glowers at Zilch for a second before he turns back and does his best to ignore his words. His sight. And his smell.

He turns back to one of the Nachis Sisters.
"Isadorer. Bophre. Malak dairy. Got it" Kobold infestations. Collapsing towers. Deceitful Wizards. Dungeons of ancient traitors. Arcane pests. A missing girl seems to be the simplest problem in this town.

"Thanks for the stuff. And info. We might be back. Davros, the Qadiran here, is looking for arcane scholars." If any do enter this outpost, they would likely talk to the scribe, right? "Let us know if one shows up." He adds. "I mean, now that Hunclay is dead and all."

Elves usually have much better taste than... that. The half-elf snorts. The Qadiran would be a better choice than the improperly bearded one.

He tries to get his bearing, heading towards Tymek's just up the street, on the way to the bridge, the river, and the dairy farm beyond.

Aodan shudders a bit as Zilch smiles at the Elf. When they meander through the streets, he tries to walk between Candrana and Zilch, perhaps encouraging her to speak with the Qadiran, possibly the lesser of two evils. "So, Davros, many Elves out east? ... Candrana, ever seen an Elf wear a turban like that?" Yes, it would be more seemly for a lady to discuss culture with a Qadiran than to endure such effrontery.

If Davros doesn't have any further questions for the scribe, the half-elf would head to Tymek's to restock some of his gear, as this merchant appears to be close (and on the way to the bridge across the river and the dairy with the missing girl).

Assuming everyone reaches Tymek's unmolested...
"Hello? After the tower crash, the Lady's got us making sure the town is safe. From pests. So could use some fresh gear. To deal with pests. And danger. And stuff. Like pitons. And rope." Kobolds are nasty and tricky enough, but we've clearly encountered even more devious and dangerous creatures. It is best to be prepared for a variety of eventualities.

"Maybe the good stuff." He's looking for a dungeoneering kit, possibly a deluxe one if it's availabile.

"Oh. And some butter and cured leather, too." Strange items, but that is what the tome indicated. Father, what strange lessons are you trying to teach me?

"And anything you can tell us about pests. And dead, deceitful wizards. And missing girls. And dead founder's spouses haunting. And ghosts of the traitor's prisoners." And whatever other strange, threatening, or just plain bizarre creatures events affect this strange burg.

Zilch waits, still hoarding his money. He does not need to buy anything but is happy to help others find things if they need help.

Zilch toots silently as he waits.

"My father traveled many places, Aoden, and we elves are very adept at blending in. Still, I cannot remember seeing my father in a 'keffiyeh', but we were not in Qadira all that long, and I was much younger then."

She blinks as something Davros said sticks in her head. Finally, she gives up polite silence to ask him quietly, "Davros, you mentioned a time as a slave, and mentioned being sold to your Mistress. Does this mean that you are still her property?" It is rude, nearly Zilchus rude, but for some reason she has trouble fathoming, it bothers her.

Aodan looks around the shop as the shop keep helps another customer. The shop keep is a short balding man with a round belly and when he is finished with with his customer he approaches Aodan. "Good morning sir, I am Caspar Tymek, welcome to my shop." He quickly gathers all the requested items Aodan requested. "So you said the Baroness hired you to help keep the town safe? "Aodan." He almost adds of House Skylos, but catches himself, realizing that is no longer an appellation he is entitled to use. I seem to be falling back into old patterns now that I've returned to Taldor. But those old patterns aren't appropriate anymore, are they?.

"Old monastery? No, haven't heard. Anything special?" Perhaps a hiding place for kobolds, conspiring wizards, more traitorous secrets, or even more ghosts?

"Any info might be helpful." If we are to roust the scaly ones, understand Hunclay's motivations, or root out traitors and their ghosts.

He studies Davros for a moment, wondering if the arcane-tinged foreigner would help or hinder that cause. Of course, if Zilch calls a true monk an "Error-ian" to his face there might not be much we can do.

Undead monks who follow the god of perfection? What kind of warped mind would think being undead is perfection?

"Oh, and the Dragonfen? Home of the one killed by Tula?"

Does Aodan have any ideas on what kind of a dragon would live in the dampness of a fen? Or remember anything about if/when a dragon lived in this land?

"They said Bophre is missing. For three months. Her mother, Isadorer Malak, is looking for her, right?"

He turns to his lewd companion. "The girl is missing, Zilch. Wouldn't be good to lust after her in front of her mother."

Zilch looks upon Aodan with growing appreciation.

"Good memory, Aodan!" Zilch comments earnestly. "With a mind like that, you're probably a good finder, like I am. You know exactly what we're looking for. You should stick with me, we'll go places...no doubt...what, with me leading the way."

It doesn't really matter how you get there, but lets say you went back into the tower ruins and followed the tunnel you found.

The tunnel goes on for miles and it is a tight squeeze as everyone in the party is much taller then a kobold. Eventually the tunnel ends at an old quarry that is half full (or empty depending on how you look at it) with stagnate water. Fortunately the tunnel opens up on a path that works its way down into the quarry and the shore of this artificial lake.

The fifty-foot-wide strip of shore stretches between the lake's edge and the forty-foot high quarry wall. It's strewn with stony debris-the result of centuries of rock slides. Several larger boulders stand against the middle of the quarry wall.

From ahead you can hear an excited yipping sound and movement from behind the boulders.

Davros' eyes widen as his grip on his short sword loosens. With an effort of will he breathes the words, ".الجن قد توجه يدي" The sword seems to move more fluidly in his hands now as he rolls his wrist in a practiced movement.

Kelish:
"May the djinn guide my hand."

He expends one point from his arcane pool to give the short sword a +1 enhancement bonus for 1 minute. 2 uses per day left.

He moves toward one of the kobolds and readies himself to react should the little trap-dragons fail to parley.

Readies an action to strike the yellow kobold should they take aggressive action against him or any of the other party members.

Attack: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 + 1 = 12

attack on Scarlett: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 111d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

swashbuckler possibilities:
Candrana will use her parry/reposte ability if attacked via melee. (Deed: Opportune Parry and Riposte (Ex) 1 panache and 1 AoO to attempt to parry a melee attack, then counterattack.)
Parry: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
