Aodan |
Wanting to get something out of the Kobold, Aodon will follow the Qadiran's example - What is the world coming to? How far have I fallen? - and whack the scaly one with the flat of his blade.
Short Sword: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 2 - 4 = 51d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

"What? I thought we were Parley-ing?!?!"
Candrana attacks the Kobold, her frustration bubbling over.
attack: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 2 - 4 = 91d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
attack: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 2 - 4 = 01d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
don't mind me, I'll be over here, trying to get my sword out of my own eye.
GM Kyshkumen |
The party is either caught off guard or their attempts to use non lethal damage cause their attacks to miss. "Parey is over as you repeatedly refused my request. Now I will take the answers with me in this life or the next." The kobold steps back and jabs at Aodan with her spear.

"I think you have a different definition for parley, but if you'd like to do this ways, so be it"
[dice=attack] 1d20 + 3 - 4
I think I was copying your actions
Don't copy me, Grayson; Copy...uhhh... uhm...crud. We're doomed.
Davros Al-Assadsarenrani |
Davros moves attempting to cut off the kobold's retreat and then swings his قرد حماقة.
Provoking an attack of opportunity.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 1 - 4 = 10
Nonlethal Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"Really? Parley reptile. Speak, don't strike. And you may live. Otherwise..."
"Престати да се борим и да нам кажете шта вам је потребно , и позвати још Вилл Лове. Ако сте Љубав кривим за страшне злочине , од вас ће бити слободан. Имате приступ Персонал Ворд."

Zilchus Lyghtlode |
Remember when Davlos and Grayson used to post on this thread? That was awesome. Back in the good ol' days...didn't we even have a woman in the party? Big head? Maybe with pointy ears? I forget...it's been so long.
Zilch looks at the sudden lull in combat with confusion.
"Are you talking or are you fighting? Or is this some sort of new kobold trap? Or a new fighting style, like Flirt Fu? Chirp Yu?" Zilch holds his blade.
"Where is the wizard now? I mean, his body? And the kitchen?"
Davros Al-Assadsarenrani |
Davros turns to Zilchus, his sword dipping a bit with weariness and a puzzled look washing over his face."Wait... My Taldan is no so good. Did she say that the trap-dragons were working for Hunclay?"
Aodan |
Davros turns to Zilchus, his sword dipping a bit with weariness and a puzzled look washing over his face."Wait... My Taldan is no so good. Did she say that the trap-dragons were working for Hunclay?"
"Workin' with a wizard. Dead wizard. Yeah, likely Hunclay." But I do not hail from these lands, so it's possible, however so unlikely there was a different wizard from Hunclay.
An eyebrow lifts as he looks at the kobold and he reiterates Candrana's question. "Why collapse the tower?" What would that gain you and your scaly folk? How would the wizard benefit? It is a rather evil place, being the remnants of the traitorous Baron's holdings.
GM Kyshkumen |
She lowers her spear, "since you have finally agreed to let me go I will continue to answer your questions. I do not know the exact reason the wizard wanted the tower gone, it was something to do with the stars. This Hunclay is buried in the rubble to the south." She looks at Zilchus, "kits hen? I do not understand this word, but you are welcome to what food is left in the room. Though I doubt a softskin will find it to their liking."
ಚಂದ್ರನ ಕಿರಣ Candrana Kiran.a |
Candrana has to bite her lip to keep from laughing, though she cannot disagree with Zilch's self-assessment.
With a cough, she tries another question.
"Did Hunclay have any books or papers or anything?" ಹಿರಿಯ always had papers, why not a wizard?
Davros Al-Assadsarenrani |
"The wizard did not have any books or papers, we checked."
"No books at all? Where did you meet Hunclay; was it at another location?" Davros begins to pace nervously and mutters to himself, " لا أستطيع أن أعود خالي الوفاض."
GM Kyshkumen |
"His body is in the rubble to the south. If you are looking for his personal possessions you could try his home." She does her best to hide a small smile.

Davros Al-Assadsarenrani |
"Agreed. So...," Davros looks at the rest of the group expectantly, "she has fulfilled her end of the bargain. Shall we, eh, find Hunclay's remains and take him back for a proper burial? I think there was a temple here in town, but I am uncertain."
Even if he was responsible for this, he deserves better than to be left here to rot. Remember the words of your mentor, 'Giving respect costs you nothing but breath and can buy you as much as your life.'
Zilchus Lyghtlode |
Zilch nods at the wise Davros.
"Yeah, that's a good idea, Darkrose. But maybe we should go explore that last room first. There was that other kobold that fled that direction. Maybe it wants to finish what it started."
Zilch takes off his backpack, moves a step back, and looks inside. He seem pleased by what he sees therein, happy it has not been too disturbed...because that would be bad. Very bad.
Grayson Wulfrics |
"So let me see if I understand this. The tower was destroyed at Hunclay's request, so this was just a job. What was Hunclay going to pay you with?"
Grayson asks quizzically determined to find out what form of payment would garner the interest of Kobolds.
"Does your clan hold any grudge or animosity towards the town of Belhaim or its people?
Aodan |
As the half-elf studies the Kobold, something about her words connects with his training, something he read begins to make some kind of sense. His eyes gloss over in some type of deep, intricate thought. Purplish pupils pulse, his nose snuffles and sniffs, pointed ears seem to stretch, and finally fingers twitch his bowstring, all in some kind of deeply pensive daze.
The mention of a book, a Wizard's book, startles him out of his trance. The language of Dragons dances through his mind and suddenly his fingers tug on an arrow, and with a small "pop" the bolt's head starts to transmute into a black ichor. A few drops slip to the floor below him, each quietly sizzling and lightly smoking as tiny drips of acid lightly burn the stone.
"Book? Book from Hunclay?" A Wizard's book! Now that is something I must see! I wonder if it is similar to...
The tiny little acid marks on the floor indicate a spark may have been started in the half-breed, but something hasn't quite fallen into place yet.
"Maybe we can work a deal. Maybe if your scaly-kind work with us, maybe we can get you a copy of the book."
GM Kyshkumen |
"You can try, but I will not be going back there. I would not be welcome back there so I will be striking out on my own."

Grayson Wulfrics |
Something the Kobold said perplexes Grayson and he asks,
"Why would you not be welcome back to your clan? That seems kinda harsh to let you just go on your own. Won't they know that your missing and send a party out for you? "
Aodan |
"Yeah, kobold, you should come with." We already picked up a Qadiran. One never knows what one can learn from a... kobold? "How did you get in here?"
"What an interesting... hole... you've discovered there, Zilchus."
Anything exciting in the tunnel to the quarry?
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Zilchus Lyghtlode |
Zilch looks down the hole, proud at finding something else.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 Perception
"I'm a pretty good finder, huh? Wish everyone was as elf-eyed as ol' me, especially the elf," Zilch says proudly. "People used to say to me: 'Zilch why don't you find something else to do?' or 'Zilch, could you find your way away from me?' and you know what?! I DID! I'm pretty good at finding, like I said."
After a good gander, Zilch goes back to the body the found buried.
