WRONG ALIAS

I'll go ahead and haste before Ary goes, since Hina's not gonna be around before my turn pops up.

Also, Ulfen is missing at least 4 damage (Inspired on Ary's and my AoO's, as well as possibly 2 on Illayna's AoO)

And Val can reroll the save vs stun, using saving finale on her

Isilme sees the Tengu land a terrible blow on Val, causing her to double over in pain and calls out to her, "Focus, Val! Push through the pain! We need you here and fighting!"

Ary watches the crow slip away, and slams her shield into the Ulfen woman, only just paying attention to her at the last moment and adjusting her strike. When the woman slams her weapon into Valaria, Ary changes tack. A sword is just a tool.

Ary follows after the Ulfen woman, and uses the available cover to sweep through without drawing attacks from the others... and setting Hinagiku up to take the Hammerwench down by providing a flank.

Nope, no one has had an effect on them since my round when I started performing that I know of, Kiora can tell me if I'm wrong, 'cause she would've used it since I didn't :)

WotR Global Buffs/Debuffs: ----

nobleman fort save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 lol.... Was trying to hurry things along so Ehren could go but... Never mind haha.

and yeah Valaria should reroll her save which will.... Change a lot if she succeeds so I can't really address that until I'm home. But you can go ahead and roll now Val if you wanna roleplay it!

WotR Global Buffs/Debuffs: ----

In spite of Isilme's best efforts, Valaria is still incapacitated by the tengu's rapid strikes. The nobleman is wracked with excruciating pain, but finally he manages to break through the effects of the spell. He grips the back of the fallen arm chair and shudders, glaring daggers at the opposing sorcerer.

"You'll pay for that one. I am a scion of House Orlovski - arcane magic is all about your blood - and mine is clearly superior," he spits as he heaves himself back to his feet.

Meanwhile, Ary slips into the hallway, and slams Faith into the other Ulfen woman once more. The warrior woman is bleeding and ragged, but still somehow on her feet...

Valaria fort save (Saving Finale DC 17): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Summary: Isilme casts Haste, but she doesn't roleplay it at all, for shame!!! Also, who is getting hasted? Can only pick 5! There is no extra damage because Isilme ended her performance on Valaria, in fact the Ulfen has 2 more damage than previous. Valaria still fails her save vs Stunning Fist. Bull Rush would push the Ulfen into Markus, so she is not knocked prone. Ary deals 9 (because no performance) damage to Ulfen lady. Nobleman breaks free of nausea at the end of his turn.

Ehren is up.

Lingering performance works even when you use saving finale, so the damage is still there, and will be for two rounds yet! :)

Isilme raises up the wand and speaks the activating command, channeling the magic into those she can see. Ary, Valaria, Ehren, Markus and she all feel as if the world slows down slightly as the haste spell washes over them.

There you go ;)

Outside of the building, Ehren takes a deep breath, contemplating his next course of action. Retcon:

The tengu turns towards Valaria and smoothly ducks through the open door and away from between she and Ary, twisting on the ball of his clawed foot, like a dancer. He then turns to Valaria to retaliate - he attempts to chop down her arm with the flat of Radiance, but Valaria pushes him away with her starknives. She tries to take advantage of the opening to cut back into him, but the monk is far too fast for her. His eyes narrow in surprise - he unleashes a quick flurry of jabs, but only one makes contact.

When the ulfen woman moves through the hallway, Valaria takes a swipe at her as well, leaving her barely standing.

Now:

Ehren swipes at the tengu, but the monk is far too fast for him. The bird sidesteps his swing, then jabs back with a counter of his own - right into his exposed stomach.

Summary: Valaria parrys stunning fist but does not riposte, she is not stunned, and Isilme did not use Saving Finale. He only manages to deal 7 damage to her, so she is not grazed either. She AoOs the ulfen woman for 14 damage. The tengu deals 10 damage to Ehren.

Barely having pinpointed the door through which the sound of battle was coming, and about to point Valaria in the right direction, Hinagiku is slightly taken aback when the tiefling opens the door only to let out a flow of people. The whole thing is chaotic, fast, and almost to quick to follow. Still, the Tien woman keeps her calm, surveying the situation.

She quickly notices the tengu, and recognizes him. Emotions (disappointment, joy, and others) threaten to rise up. Cutting them in the bud, Hinagiku adopts her usual fighting stance, automatically entering the kind of meditative mindset that comes with them. Next, she moves deftly toward the armored woman, gently grabbing her shoulder and pushing at the back of her knee.

Graukur responds as he likewise attempts to disable Valaria, his voice calm and steady despite the physical exertion.

Meanwhile, Hinagiku quickly pushes the Ulfen woman to the floor, and incapacitates her with a blow to the back of the head. The woman is out cold. The tengu takes note, narrowing his eyes, then glancing towards the door.

Tien:
"Hinagiku. You are naive. The masters are fools; I wash my hands of their ways. They sent us here to our deaths. There is nothing anyone can do about this evil place. You should escape, while you still can."

Round 3

Graukur slips away from Valaria's strikes, dancing between her onslaught of blows and leaving her overextended. He ignores her taunt and manages to slip past the druid and the tiefling... but forgets about the Eagle Knight, who carves into the bird's side with her greatsword as if he were just a piece of meat. The monk doesn't cry out in pain, but he does manage to dash out the door as fast as his legs can carry him.... pretty fast, thanks to the sorcerer's magic upon him. With Radiance, no less.

Valaria:
That demon's voice, yet again -

"Heh. There goes that sword! Now things are getting interesting, eh, boss?"

Meanwhile, Isilme quickly lunges and jabs into Orlovski, leaving a mark no larger than a needle's pinpoint, yet a bright red stain grows quickly into his nice clothes. Orlovski yelps in pain, turning to watch his 'ally' run out the door with his ill-gotten loot. "F*$!ing bird," he growls.

Illayna looks towards Ary in the hallway, seeming apologetic. "I'm sorry... I couldn't stop him." She switches her attention to Orlovski, stalking towards the mage with her enormous sword. He backs away, but not enough - her harsh slash tears through his body, tearing messily through everything presented.

"Isilme's right, mage." adds Markus, "If we knock you all out, you're completely at our mercy. And we're gonna win, regardless of how superior your bloodline is."

He punctuates his words with a spell combining pain and entropy, willing the sorcerer's flesh to wilt and shrivel, and extending tendrils of pain from the wound.

'Tu magnus-vulnere et nocere.', he intones, and a purple-black spiral of energy extends from his hand to the body of the mage.

Casting targeted boost-lesser wound + wrack, a 3rd-level wordspell. He has to make a DC 21 Fortitude save to halve the damage and negate the sickened condition.

Negative Energy (Boost): 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Markus cocks his head on the completion of his spell. "Or were you still looking to make me pay? If so, my debt is mounting."

Orlovski grunts, his sheer arrogance bolstering his nerve against Markus' spell. He smirks. "That the best you can do?"

The narrative above is told out of turn order though all dice are rolled according to initiative.

Summary: Hinagiku trips and KOs the ulfen woman. Isilme deals 8 damage to Orlovski. Graukur runs for it, but is AoO'd by Illayna for 18 damage, grazing him. Illayna then deals 11 damage to Orlovski, grazing him. Markus deals 3 damage to Orlovski.

A hero may choose to give chase against Graukur, but if they dally he will be too far to run down. He currently has a speed of 60', and is 90' away from the front gate.

I'm guessing that's gonna be a yes :p

Aware of Graukur fleeing with Radiance?:

Isilme catches the Tengu fleeing with Radiance out the corner of her eye and sighs. She quickly calls to Val, letting the magic carry her voice to her, "Val, start running after the Tengu when I get to the door, I will use my power to enchant you with a runic heroism to help you catch him,"

Goal will be for Isilme to ready an action to hit Val with the spell as she runs by. Hopefully delaying one spot in init shouldn't hurt Val's chances to catch up.

Changing her focus once more, she moves to the door, hoping to catch up with Graukur and Ehren, until she notices how far the tengu and druid have already gotten. Hinagiku stops in her track, whispering to the two would be pursuers.

"Careful, even with the two of your together, demons might overpower you." she says, hoping her few words might convince the others to let go of the chase.

"I know," Ehren whispers back to Hinagiku, without pausing his pursuit, "But Radiance was already almost perverted once. If it is lost here, in the Worldwound itself, there might be no saving it this time. That sword belongs in the Ary's hand, and her hand alone."

Isilme closes the distance with Valaria as Ehren heads out the door. As she does she focuses on channeling her inner energy to prepare to scribe a rune. She traces it out quickly in the air as she incants heroism and lets the energy of the rune and spell mingle as she unleashes it upon her. "Ok, go get Radiance back, we will hold the fort down here," she says looking briefly back at the slumped mage.

Val grins. "He won't get away from the two of us. Just make sure the snobby sorcerer is nice and tied up when we get back. I have a feeling that he knows something that we really need to know." As soon as she feels the surge of confidence from Isilme's spell, she takes off in a dead run, rushing after the fleeing tengu.

Chase scene is independent of combat order

Graukur flees down the street and leaps swiftly up onto a high stone wall. Unfortunately for him, Ehren is able to easily gain ground - especially since mere walls aren't much of an obstacle for someone who can fly. The monk narrows his eyes at the small, wispy thing following him, and elects to continue moving, sprinting down the wall away from his pursuers, Radiance in tow.

Wall details: It is 6 ft tall and 5 ft across, made of stone

Ehren: You can close in to melee distance immediately. So how are you going to try to stop him?

Valaria: Make a DC 20 climb check or a DC 24 acrobatics check to swiftly scale the wall

Make an additional DC 15 K. Engineering check to find a more favorable place to scale than Graukur did.

Graukur acrobatics (grazed, speed bonus): 1d20 + 14 + 12 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 14 + 12 - 1 = 28

Round 4

Meanwhile, Illayna hesitates - the mage seems rather helpless on the ground like that. She steps closer and holds her greatsword over him, ready to swing if he attempts to move.

Markus is up.

Val charges straight toward the wall, her eyes running over the stone surface. She smirks, seeing a series of loose stones that wound make perfect footholds. She jumps up, kicking off the lowest set and cleanly leaping up the wall without so much as slowing down. Her boots land cleanly on the top of the wall and she runs straight down the stones, starting to close in on the fleeing crow man.

There was precious little Ehren could do in his air elemental form, unfortunately. It was not exactly built for physical combat, and he was not very good at that to begin with. He was more here as Valaria's spectator than anything. Still, it was clear that he had the advantage in this chase. Ehren attempts to draw a bead on the nimble monk, before firing a bolt of acid from one of his wispy appendages.

Ehren fires a bolt of acid at the monk, but the running bird is hard to aim at and the shot goes flying harmlessly by - the druid loses a few seconds on him, and falls slightly behind. Regaining speed, the bird seems to suddenly vanish before them... In truth he simply darted around a corner, dashing down into a long, narrow alley between buildings.

Ehren/Valaria

Make a DC 15 perception check and/or DC 20 reflex save to see the partially hidden alleyway as you run past and/or turn on a dime to run down into it without losing momentum. Making both saves will gain you more ground than only one.

You are currently 60' away, so you could also elect to do something else to slow him down if you'd like!

Val sees the alley coming up the instant before the tengu turns away and disappears down the side street. "You're not getting away from me that easily," she mutters under her breath, she spins around the corner, hitting the wall and kicking off just quick enough to avoid slowing down. She continues to close the distance, two of her dagger coming out into her hands as she gets closer and closer. I'm assuming that I can quick draw without losing ground.

Ehren frowns, not at all surprised by his missed shot. He veers off, taking a sharp turn around the corner. If this chase went on for too much longer, he would have to bring the sky down on Graukur.

Orlovski's magic dissipates from Graukur - but he is still nimble enough to scramble up an overhanging ledge and through an open window of what was once a small shop - Ehren follows, easily, and the bird stops in his tracks. The stairs down to the second floor are blocked by the partially caved in building - he is cornered.

He groans. "ちくしょう!"

Tien:
"S&%*."

Valaria catches up eventually at her own pace. Graukur turns and drops Radiance, raising his claws in the air.

"So... perhaps I'm not being paid enough to deal with this. Can we settle this like men, and not beasts?"

"At least you're sensible enough to stop before I was forced to slit your throat," Val says as she stalks over and scoops up Radiance, sliding it safely under her pack the same way she had been carrying Illayna's sword earlier. Markus stands over the downed Orlovski with Illayna, and he draws his dagger. "So, Orlovski." he says. "You gonna use your bloodline to pull yourself out of this one or are you gonna give up?"

Hinagiku, still on the doorstep of the building lets out a barely perceptible sight of relief: she could hear Ehren and Valaria speaking about a peaceful resolution with Graukur, and the others in the room with her where already offering peace to the noble who was laying on the ground.

Focusing on what her role should be in this situation, Hinagiku concentrates on her senses, trying to see or hear whether any demon might have approached their location.

Small note: Ehren/Valaria/Graukur are a few blocks away at this point :)

The tengu Graukur sighs, resting his back against the wall and peering coolly at the tiefling and the air elemental from beneath his wide-brimmed 菅笠. Satisfied that they aren't to kill him, he relaxes visibly.

"The oni-child is so bloodthirsty. We all need to create a living somehow, right?"

"I came here by promise of coin from a man named Caggrigar. He wanted some book - some ancient prophecy? でたらめ. I'm sure there's a buyer for it anyway. In any case he found it, and then ordered us to stand guard while he pored over it."

"Suspect he ran off with it awhile ago at this point, though. He surely heard the fighting." His black eyes glint with a smile.

Back at the oddity shop...

Hinagiku:
You don't notice anything out of place. Your senses are razor-sharp so - this should comfort you.

Orlovski hesitates for a moment, then sneers. "I'd rather die than submit to low-class filth like yourselves."

Round 5

The tall, thin mage attempts to stand up, in full view of Ary and Illayna. Illayna reacts near-instantaneously, cleaving her greatsword deep into his side. He collapses to the ground, unconscious, and swiftly bleeding out onto the dusty wooden floor.

Illayna AoO vs Orlovski: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Illayna damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18

Illayna grimaces. "S!$$. Sorry. He spooked me."

The Eagle Knight sheathes her greatsword and instinctively turns to Ary. "What do we do now?"

Combat ends.
