Male Elf Magus (Spell-Dancer) 2
Stats:
HP 17/17; AC 14/12/12; Init +2; Fort +4, Ref +2, Will +4 (+2 vs. Enchantment); Perception +3; Arcane Pool 4/4; Harrow Points 4; Concentration +5 (+9 on the defensive)

Ooh, I get all the buffs. Nice. I was debating on grabbing a silver knife with mage hand, but I'm not sure that's the best use of a standard action.

Aerel fades from sight, and Emma opens the door to reveal the room beyond. The imp is hovering above a card table, reading from a scroll, clearly in the middle of casting a spell.

Imp's spell will take a full round to cast, so he does nothing else this round. Unfortunately, Aerel and Jamir's readied actions were melee attacks on anyone coming back out of the room, so they don't trigger, but there's still probably time for someone to disrupt the casting.

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

Who's up?

The imp started casting a full-round spell on his turn, so now it's Jamir.

Male Halfling Unchained Rogue (Roof Runner) 2 HP 17/17 | AC 19 T 16 FF 14 (+1 Dodge vs Medium and bigger)| Fort+2 Ref +8 Will+0 | Initiative +5 | Perception +0

Am I waiting for the creature to come out of the room or going in to try and disrupt it's casting? I don't want to ruin any plans that I may have overlooked. I won't be the Leroy Jenkins of the group.

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

Go Leroy!

Male Halfling Unchained Rogue (Roof Runner) 2 HP 17/17 | AC 19 T 16 FF 14 (+1 Dodge vs Medium and bigger)| Fort+2 Ref +8 Will+0 | Initiative +5 | Perception +0

In I go then! I gain a +1 to Attack rolls if it is denied its Dex bonus to AC.

Noticing that there is a good opportunity to move in and try to end the threat quickly I do so, slicing at the creature with the silverware knife.

Silver Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Critical Confirmation: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Silver Dagger Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Critical Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2

Wow ... a good first roll, followed by 3 very bad rolls!

Concentration DC 14: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

The devil flinches as the accursed metal slices into his flesh, but it is only a glancing blow and he does not cease his chanting.

Oops, forgot to have the imp roll a will save to see if Aerel is invisible to him.

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Male Elf Magus (Spell-Dancer) 2
Stats:
HP 17/17; AC 14/12/12; Init +2; Fort +4, Ref +2, Will +4 (+2 vs. Enchantment); Perception +3; Arcane Pool 4/4; Harrow Points 4; Concentration +5 (+9 on the defensive)

Aerel frowns slightly as the halfling darts inside, even as he feels a familiar tingle of magic wash over him. His lips quirk, and he darts inside, sliding his wand away even as he flows over the table into flanking position with Jamir. His blade darts out, only proving to be more a distraction than anything significant.

Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Moving to flank the imp, then attacking with the scimitar.

The imps small size and agility in the air allow him to dodge the scimitar without missing a syllable of his spell.

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

Shaeda will use her whip to aid Jamir at hitting the imp.

Scorpion Whip Hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Jamir, take a +4 to hit the imp.

Aerel, remember to use my blessing to roll 2 d20s!

Pestico, still in a state of panic, sinks down to the floor with his head in his hands, muttering.

"I tried...did my best...please kill him..."

He'll just stay in total defense, he couldn't contribute very much to the fight anyway.

Tightening her grip on the silver knife and stepping into the room to slash at the imp.

silver knife: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Emma's knife likewise misses the nimble fiend, and his is able to complete his spell.

A loathsome creature, seemingly no more than a mound of grasping flesh, appears between Emma and Jamir.

"Hoh chah hoch!"

Using Klingon for Infernal, since saying a real language is from hell wouldn't be very nice.

The terrible blob stretches out its rubbery limbs in two directions and claws at both Emma and Jamir.

Attack on Jamir: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 181d4 ⇒ 2
Attack on Emma: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 211d4 ⇒ 4

The imp himself tries to extricate himself from being surrounded, and chucks another dart at Aerel.

Dart: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 121d2 ⇒ 1 and a DC 13 fort save if it hits.

Male Halfling Unchained Rogue (Roof Runner) 2 HP 17/17 | AC 19 T 16 FF 14 (+1 Dodge vs Medium and bigger)| Fort+2 Ref +8 Will+0 | Initiative +5 | Perception +0

I quickly dodge the weird blobs attack as it comes to me and quickly retaliate with my own. I try to find a vunerable spot to stab it with the silvered knife. "SoHvaD 'up veqlargh!"

Silver Knife Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23
Silver Knife Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Sneak Attack Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Infernal:
"Ya disgustin' devil!"

Not sure if the creature can be sneak attacked or flanked, if not please remove the +2 from the attack roll. Also was the blobs attack against normal AC?

Yes, it was attacking normal AC. And despite their blobbiness, Lemures don't have any immunities other than the normal devil ones, so sneak attack applies.

Jamir's knife strikes home, drawing a deep gash in the wretched creature, which oozes foul-smelling yellow ichor.

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

Jamir had an additional +4, not that he needed it. Aerel, don't forget to double up on your d20s and pick the better one.

Male Halfling Unchained Rogue (Roof Runner) 2 HP 17/17 | AC 19 T 16 FF 14 (+1 Dodge vs Medium and bigger)| Fort+2 Ref +8 Will+0 | Initiative +5 | Perception +0

Shaeda, was the +4 also against the blob?

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

My bad, no, I had specified the imp. As we move through this game, let me know what you want help hitting, and Shaeda will gladly help!

Aerel doesn't appear to be around, so I'll bot him for the time being.

Aerel circles the table, trying to cut off any escape route for the imp, and takes a swipe with his silver knife, bolstered by Shaeda's blessing.

Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Crit threat.

Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

His knife deeply pierces the fiend's breast, and it lets out a shriek of agony.

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

Shaeda will attempt to aid Jamir at striking the imp...

Whip Hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Jamir, take a +4 on your next attack at the imp.

Pestico continues to be no help at all, simply cowering away from the combat.

Not sure is Aerel is still around or not, will give him a chance to post his own save, then bot him if he doesn't.

I cannot see the map as posting on my phone from work. If I am able to 5 foot steep to get flanking on the Imp, I will. If not I shall continue with the blob. If it is on the Imp, I add it Shaeda's +4 bonus too.

I spin the knife in my hand slightly and bring it up, hoping to slash the creature on the way up.

Silver Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 2 = 29
Critical Confirmation: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 2 = 17
Silver Dagger Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Critical Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Critical Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Jamir traps the imp between him and Aerel, and drives the knife home. The imp is unable to defend itself, and with a screech of pain falls bleeding to the floor.

Aerel seems to be AWOL, so I'll continue to bot him

Fort save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Dex damage: 1d2 ⇒ 2

Aerel flinches as he feels his limbs stiffen up, but gived Jamir a nod of thanks for dispatching his foe.

Despite the rigidity in his muscles, he hops up on the card table to fight the blob.

Scimitar/Damage: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 81d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Shaeda attacks the blob...

Scorpion Whip Hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Disarm, Trip

Silver Knife Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 2 = 14
Silver Knife Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 1

AC : +1 if Blob is medium sized.
Attack : +1 if Blob is denied Dexterity to AC.

Jamir's knife strikes home, and the filthy creature collapses and vanishes in a puff of sulfurous smoke, back to the realm from whence it came.

Combat ends, exiting initiative.

"Yeah 'n' where'd that blob come from anyhow?"

Turning on her heel and walking swiftly back over to Pestico. Kneeling down, "Ok that thing is dead. You do not have to fear it anymore. Can you tell me what is going on now?"

diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11 Freaking really! I suppose Emma is a little stressed.

Well, you just saved his life, so I suppose a diplomacy check isn't really necessary.

"That fiendish creature was Mr. Benabak. He was...my benefactor, for a time. All to further his own nefarious plots, of course."

"I used to be the most exclusive toy-shop in Korvosa, rich nobles would commission me to make the toys for their children, they treated me as a respected craftsman and friend. But it was all lies; there's none so greedy as someone with too much to begin with, and the success of my enterprise got my "friends" scheming."

"I was invited to social functions high above my station, and after the ladies and children had gone to bed, us gentlemen would always relax with brandy and cigars, and a friendly game of cards. I did quite well, of course. The legendary "beginner's luck", arranged by my so-called friends to lull me."

"Soon the stakes got higher, and the luck ran out, and I stood to lose everything. A young son of a viscount was about to take the deed to my shop and leave me a beggar...when a miracle happened."

"A raven flew through the window behind him, unseen, and perched on the bookshelf. It started to act most peculiar, dancing about, trying to get my attention. I was about to make the bet that would end me, when it shook its head and stamped its feet. I realized it could see my opponents cards, and was trying to warn me. I folded, and survived. A few hands later, and the bird gave me a nod. I bet all that I had and won."

"Later that night, Benabak came to me at home and revealed his true nature as a fiend. I was repulsed, but he seemed honest. What use was the soul of a dollmaker? He just wanted money, no doubt to fund his schemes elsewhere. As I had been cheated, it seemed simple justice to get it all back with a cheat of my own."

"We moved the games to my shop, where Benabak would watch in the form of a doll, signalling me so I would win. After I had won back all that had been taken, plus enough to pay Benabak for his assistance, I was happy to call it quits. But Benabak liked the scheme, and wanted more. He threatened to go to the men we had fleeced together, and reveal all, if I did not continue the scheme, and he demanded ever better compensation for his participation."

"Soon I was fully reliant on him. My rich clients, furious over their losses, took their business elsewhere and encouraged others to do the same. What little of our winnings I was allowed to keep were barely enough to live on."

"My only hope was to appeal to his greed and vanity. The crown...I offered to make finery worthy of his greatness if he would release me. He agreed, but offered me no funds for materials. I had to liquidate what little remained to me to afford it, but it would be worth it to be rid of this foul creature. But even then I kept the bag of silverware...I knew he feared the metal, and if he reneged on the deal, it might be my only hope. I thought if there was enough, I could secretly smelt it into a sword. I could not best him in combat, I knew, but if he didn't know about the weapon, and I got lucky..."

"But I made the crown and hoped. And then, disaster. It was stolen, and I was without hope. I had not even started work on the sword. I was doomed, and could only hope for a chance...and then you came in..."

Male Halfling Unchained Rogue (Roof Runner) 2 HP 17/17 | AC 19 T 16 FF 14 (+1 Dodge vs Medium and bigger)| Fort+2 Ref +8 Will+0 | Initiative +5 | Perception +0

I walk into the room as the shop keeper is explaining his situation, I listen quietly whilst spinning the silver knife in my hand. Once he has finished talking I head over to him, "A good way ta get ya money back from 'em, serves 'em right. Ne'er 'ad much luck wiv cards, maybe I should practice 'n' get some money tha' way? Or I could find a fiend who wants some money 'n' try ta make a deal with it, but I don't wanna get screwed over." I hold up the silver knife carefully, making sure he knows I am not threatening him at all, "Ya mind if I keep this, it's got good balance."

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

"So with him gone, you don't need the crown anymore?"

"I suppose not. You may take it if you wish, but it would seem selfish of me to merely reward you with that which you could have kept. You came all the way here to return that to me, and then freed me from my oppressor's grip."

"I propose instead that in exchange for the crown you can help yourselves to Benabak's own treasures. It would be wrong for me to keep them, I should not profit from my foolishness and lapse in conscience. With the crown I can repay my debts, and have enough to live on while I hopefully repair my tarnished reputation. As far as I'm concerned, you've earned his holding by ridding the world of him. And is it not traditional that the slayers of a monster partake of his treasure?"

Male Halfling Unchained Rogue (Roof Runner) 2 HP 17/17 | AC 19 T 16 FF 14 (+1 Dodge vs Medium and bigger)| Fort+2 Ref +8 Will+0 | Initiative +5 | Perception +0

I nod at the proposal, "Aye, I like that, I ne'er wanted ta be king anyhow. Where's the treasure at?" I look to the others, trying to see if they will also accept the trade.

"Seems reasonable to me."

My eyes grow wide at the box of treasures in front of me, the crown forgotten as it is passed back to its owner. "Good luck gettin' ya shop runnin' 'gain." I start taking the stuff inside and putting then in my pouch, handing the vials and stick to Shaeda to see if she knows what they are, the larger items go into my pack. Once everything is stored I look to The others, "So ... where d'ya wanna go now?'

If no one replies I continue to walk along the streets to somewhere I have frequented before, somewhere nice and cheap.
