I'm new to 5e, too, Teo. We can mistake together.

Alex's family is in logistics. They don't buy and sell directly, but own lots of boats and caravans and transport goods for a fee. Alex could have been in Escalus to negotiate some preferential treatment for her families transports so they could cross into/ out of Escalus with less paperwork and time. She's pretty blunt and no-nonsense so she might have stood out while she was there. She doesn't like the political aspect of her life very much. Perhaps they could have bonded over their mutual dislike of the situation.

Finlogan wouldn't have been in Escalus to be met.

Whoops, left out a couple of details.

You spot a few humanoid footprints doing the dragging, but they're mostly destroyed by the "tracks" of the dragged objects (since they would cross any given point after the creature doing the dragging). But definitely humanoids doing the dragging.

Presumably they fell at the point where the dragging-tracks started.

A blonde, a brunette, and a redhead.
Well, maybe; you never know. ;)

Ok, I added 1 to my Str and 1 to my Int.

I added 5+1 (Con bonus) to HP.

I can now assume the form of a 1/2 CR creature, (such as an Ape, Black Bear, Warhorse or Giant Wasp...)

I have one extra 2nd level spell slot.

Where are skill listed on the 5eSRD? Just trying to make sure I'm doing them right - only s skill dependant upon Int should improve right? Becase my Proficiency bonus is unchanged...


Skills don't necessarily change from level to level. Either you're proficient in a skill, or you're not. If you are, then it just means you add your proficiency bonus. Nothing else.

Ok, but my skills were listed as:

Animal Handling (Druid) +5
Insight (Druid) +5
Nature (Background) +3
Perception (Elf) +5
Survival (Background) +5

and my saves were:

Str -1/Dex +3/Con +1/Int +2/Wis +5/Cha +2

and my stats were S9 D16 C13 I 11 W16 C14

I changed the Str save to +0 as my Strength went from 9 to 10, and my Int save to +3 as it was +2 (proficiency) but now has a +1 from Int 12. Right? But why is my Str save the only one that doesn't have a proficiency bonus? Or have I done that incorrectly? I thought your saves were based on their modifier plus your proficiency. And likewise, skills were based on your proficiency and the relevant ability modifier.


Everything's based on your stat, plus (if applicable) your proficiency bonus.

Or to put it another way, everything is either:
A) stat mod; or
B) stat mod + proficiency

It's just a matter of determining which things get that proficiency. Your class write-up lists which two saves you're proficient in, as well as a list of choices for which skills to be proficient in. Your background also typically gives a couple more skill proficiencies.

For any given roll, either you have something somewhere explicitly telling you that you're proficient (in which case you've got stat+prof) or you don't (in which case it's just stat).
