Welcome to my little soirée. You can post here for all your discussion based needs.

Hello fellow tomb raiders!

Now the module assumes that you all know each and have already agreed to scope out yonder tomb, so do you want that or did you have something else in mind.

Let me hear your thoughts.

We could all have been hired by the same guy to clear this thing out in exchange for an equal share of the treasure.

Male Kobold Inspired Blade Swashbuckler 1/Occultist1|| HP: 12/12, AC: 19 (FF: 16 T: 14) || Init: +3, Fort: +3 Ref: +5 Will: +2 || Per: +6

Laknir's not really a money type of guy, but he would be willing to work with people who are. If it's a tomb with magical guardians and whatnot, then he'd have probably been sent to investigate the specific properties of the place. Anyone know how they might know the little guy? Of all the people in the party, he does need the best excuse not to get punted out of whatever tavern we meet up in.

A larcenous rogue with a lust for adventure, yeah, a hired gig makes sense.

@Laknir, just because you wouldn't be as motivated by the pay, hearing about the chance to investigate a forgotten magical tomb could be your motivation for signing on for a paid gig, with the pay just allowing for other investitures after.

And we are all pretty out there. A half-orc, a kobold, a tiefling, and a catfolk. I KNOW! We are all members of "Outcasts Anonymous"!

I'm thinking Laknir could've ended up in Osirion after escorting an archaeologist. I bet he would relish the challenge of facing the various dangers a desert environ would present.

What do you think?

That's kind of what I mean't he wouldn't turn down a reward (that would be rude!) but it isn't his thing.

I mean, the others aren't usually seem as enemies to civilization anyway.

You could wear a disguise unless you think Laknir is too proud.

Hold on, I'm gonna research Osirions attitude toward non-human races.

Sorry, ninjaed me there. I think that would work. As for the disguise, I think that could be fine temporarily, I don't know how long that would work.

I've submitted my query to the campaign setting forums, but it appears that many kobolds are kept as slaves, sooo not super unusual I guess.

So it's my turn to be team pet?

I mean that the locals are more likely to take notice of the fact that you're a free man, not that you're a kobold. That's how I'm interpreting it anyway.

Have a real life game today, but I can at least keep an eye on the thread. Still waiting on Dayreth.

Just got back. My party has learned the horror of prismatic spray.

A much needed lesson to learn in life.

So what kind of role-playing experience do you guys have?

Got into gaming almost 15 years ago - was hanging out at a friend's house, next thing you know the dice come out. Ended up really enjoying it. Played across D&D from 2nd edition down through Pathfinder, a good chunk of Vampire the Masquerade, and a smattering of other systems (CoC, 40k rpg, etc.). I've spent some time behind the GM's screen, though have far more experience as a player. I relocated with my girlfriend a while back and have not found a welcoming gaming community in my new locale. As such, I recently started exploring an interest in PbP.

I've been playing a lot of short-lived games on and off for about three years now with the same group. I've GMed a few times, almost exclusively with homebrew stuff. Not for very long stretches of time unfortunately.

Haven't heard from Dayreth for quite some time now, so I'm gonna have to assume that he's a no-show. Do you guys thinks your characters will be finished by Thursday?

I think I will.

I believe my character is done.

I was about to say already set, but then I looked at my avatar and it is blank. Not exactly sure what happened, think Paizo ate it. So I will re-enter it tonight and will be good to go.

Your alias is blank as well.

Recruited a replacement for Dayreth. I expect he will make himself known soon.

Intriguing, I like it.

Hello there, my fellow tomb raiders!

I'll be playing Korim, a dwarven ranger wven if not a typical one.

I'll have the profile made asap and I'm glad I'm here with you all!

.

Oh, and the Hit Points, I'll need them down there!

HP: 2d10 ⇒ (6, 10) = 16

Grand Lodge

Male Dwarf, Ranger (Deep Walker) 3 HP 34/41 | AC/T/FF 21/12/19 | CMB +6 CMD 18 | Fort +8 Ref +5 Will +4 | Init +2 Perception +9

Korim Armadar finally complete and reporting in.

Let's talk bussiness: Korim is an "outcast" in the sense that he doesn't feel like he belongs to his dwarven keep and prefers a life of wandering until he gets enough money for his retirement plan.

He's good hearted but prefers not to blur his mind too much with laws and such, afterall if you follow your common sense and are a good person that's the only rule you'll need.

That's just so you all feel him a bit without having to bore you down through his backstory. Now that he and you all know, what could be our common backstory? I'm excited to start working with this bunch of ragtags!

Just wanted to mention, the man that has hired you for this expedition is an elderly (and somewhat eccentric) archaeologist named Gej Mufar.

Looks like we're just about ready here. Anything left on your end?

Grand Lodge

Male Dwarf, Ranger (Deep Walker) 3 HP 34/41 | AC/T/FF 21/12/19 | CMB +6 CMD 18 | Fort +8 Ref +5 Will +4 | Init +2 Perception +9

Korim's finished. Only remaining details are links and connections with the rest of the party.

Maybe you ran a caravan job with me a while ago and I recommended you on the team?

What do you suppose Korim's thoughts are on the "lizard".

Alright, change of plans, I'm using 3d virtual tabletop for my map pics.

@Ashmed: I'm fine with that! Can you tell me one thing or two about your backstory or something? The full one isn't in your profile, and I guess Ashmed would share a story/detail or two while travelling, not his whole life hahahaha

@Hyde: Korim cares not for the color of your skin or the name of your kin. He cares for two things when working with people: If they are liable underground and if they are to be trusted when dividing the loot.
Specifically talking about Laknir... he seems like a loyal friend. A Lawful Good flashy kobold cavalier bent on justice. I'd be his Gimli without a doubt.

Gonna try and get us started today if everyone's ready.

Hey, hey. Dragon dra-gon not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.

All set to go whenever you are.

Cool

Also, was that a Mushu reference?

Male Kobold Inspired Blade Swashbuckler 1/Occultist1|| HP: 12/12, AC: 19 (FF: 16 T: 14) || Init: +3, Fort: +3 Ref: +5 Will: +2 || Per: +6

Right you are. I couldn't resist. He was Donkey before Donkey! Being voiced by the same guy helps.

Before we start, I just wanted to reiterate that a post per day is what I'm hoping for from everyone. That isn't an ultimatum, I just think it's something we should all strive for. Beyond that, don't be afraid to let me know if I'm doing something wrong. I need all the input I can get.

Whelp, I'm gonna open up the gameplay thread. Dot when your ready.

Gameplay thread is up.

Male Kobold Inspired Blade Swashbuckler 1/Occultist1|| HP: 12/12, AC: 19 (FF: 16 T: 14) || Init: +3, Fort: +3 Ref: +5 Will: +2 || Per: +6

Anyone else want to start with escorting the archaeologist?

Introductions before dinner, yes.

Why not? Escorting an archaeologist seems a job for Korim. Well paid and with the possibility of tomb raiding future jobs.

Will give a proper post soon. Need to wake up a little more.

Taking longer than I thought to come up with a response to your posts. I'll try to finish it during my lunch break today.

No biggie, Gm. I can wait all night long! ^^

Anyone know how to denote an alias as an npc, not another GM alias?

Edit: figured it out

More on it's way
