@elross - correct for Aesantiel. I anticipate someday, someone shortening it to "Aysa" (Ay-sah). But I can't see her deciding to do that on her own. Maybe once someone puts it to her, she'll pick it up, 'to be more readily accepted'.
It’s supposed to be pronounced ‘Kee-der-iss-k-k’. It’s perfectly understandable, he gets his name mispronounced all the time...
and I’m totally yanking your chain.
As a side note, in situations where the entire party is rolling a d20 for something, like group Perception checks or Initiative, I am a big supporter of the GM just rolling for everyone. Some may disagree with me, but I would rather the GM roll and post the outcome so we can RP and move on with the story, then sit and wait for a day of real time for everyone to post a die roll and then find out what’s going on.
Obviously, it’s your call GM, but having you roll for everyone in situations like these could save us a whole week in real life time to complete the scenario.

I would agree with Cedrick, mainly because say I'm not able to make it to a computer today and everyone is waiting on me. Atleast the other players could continue the roleplaying while waiting instead of waiting for a simple d20 roll. Thanks for pointing that out Cedrick, it's not something I would not have considered, because I've only having GM'd real life games.
Indeed, but he has already reviewed all of our character sheets, and it’s easy enough to make a cheat sheet that lists everyone’s Perception bonus, Initiative bonus, etc. It can also be pre-formatted so that it’s an easy copy/paste whenever it comes up.

Hey guys, bad news. I had a waterline burst from under my house last night, so I'm not going to be very talkative for a few days. I'll post what I can, I just don't know how often.
[ooc]OK, she's not a regular drunk - apparently her drink is very expensive. Could she be hiding someone here? Running a safe house of some sort - her guest drinks (and occasionally throw a drink on her, and shady-looking folk come to pay her off and cover her expenses?
I'll bet Elross has determined that she's not actually drunk, but her clothes smell of alcohol...
yah well, Aesantiel's not a brilliant deductive thinker. She's not brilliant - not a dim bulb either. Pretty good intuition. However she's exceptionally self-aware. She's not going to act with conviction based on a rational deduction. She might have an intuitive insight, take it on board as a 'fact' and act on it rapidly and decisively.
So - Aesantiel mistrusts her 'detectiveness' without some outside validation. And now is not the time for a supportive brainstorming session.
new theory - Baltwin's children are the shady looking characters, and they provide mom with enough $$ for her tipple. This might very innocently be her having a drinking problem, but otherwise all is on the up-and-up.
This is neat - and challenging. I keep trying to find internal dialogue for Aesantiel. I keep getting into her head to try and capture and document her thoughts, and I keep hearing, "Ohhhmmmmm".
EDIT: Cedrick, I was using your Sense Motive from the character sheet provided.
By the way, I will be out of town Monday and Tuesday. Hopefully, we can get to a point where you can get away with "campfire talk". I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying running this motley group and their interactions.
I don't remember making skill changes when I purchased equipment. It's possible I guess. I only know that the sheet I have linked in my profile, the final one, has Sense Motive trained.
I do have the feeling I'm bucking the tape here. However, Aesantiel has made it very clear to me the player that she's stubborn and unforgiving. Also that she has almost no tolerance for passive-aggressive deception. I knew she had the capacity for mercilessness. I didn't anticipate she'd be beating old ladies first thing out of Pathfinder school, but them's the breaks.
FYI I will be heading to Dragoncon in Atlanta this weekend. I am leaving Thursday morning and will not be returning until Monday evening. This will likely prevent me from posting over the weekend. Sorry for slowing things down.
