A wide-eyed look of surprise covers her face as she feels her wounds close. She untucks her shirt and lifts it up to where she can see where the wound was. She waves her fingers over the blood, whisking it away and leaving behind fair, unscarred skin. Slowly a smile forms on her face as she checks her two other wounds. After seeing that they too were healed without scars she stretches this way and that, her grin growing wider and wider as she sees that she can move like normal.

"ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou! I feel soooo much better," she says as she picks up the gnome, gives him a quick hug, and then puts him back down before running to Helena and dragging her over.

"So you think you can do that for my friend? She got hurt too, and I'd be very, very thankful for your help!"

Fluff lands on Cerinnibert's shoulder and sighs.

"So you see what I have to put up with," she asks, "always going and going, never slowing down. I can't keep up most of the time and I can never get enough to eat because I dare not leave her alone, lest she set fire to something! Please, mister, do you have anything sweet or nutty to spare? I am famished and faint from the hunger," she begs in a pitiful voice.

Imperious Rex, meanwhile, begins to pose in front of the horses pulling the carriage, his mane blowing in an unfelt breeze.

Cerin regains his equilibrium and tries to hide his blush as he smiles wryly at the exuberant elf. "But of course! Always happy to aid those in need!" he replies as he taps her friend with the wand. "How does that feel?"

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

He chuckles at Fluff's remarks. "I know the feeling! If you had ever met my cousin Branderbert, he would make her look like a turtle in comparison!" Rummaging through his pack he hold out some brown nut-bread. "Would this hold you for a while? I'm sure we can find you plenty of sweets back in Sandpoint. I'm Cerinnibert, my friends call me Cerin, by the by. I suppose you do the introductions for your group as well?" he asks with a mischievous smile, lightning flashing across his eyes.

Halvor's brow furrows at the unexpected outburst from the one woman. Cerin certainly knew how to elicit positive reactions out of people. All the warrior could manage with competence was felling foes and keeping his companions safe. He wished he had grown up with a deft tongue, but he had lived as a tanner's son, and such a craft didn't demand a clever wit.

Still rattled from the combat, Helena wipes her brow, feeling her skin slowly return to its normal state after being tightened by fire and heat. Her heart-rate slowly easing, she turns to look at her friend, already forming a retort to back up Fluff, when Gwyn grabs her by the arm and half-leads, half-drags her to the other fighters. "Ah! Gwyn, watch where you're dragging me!" she yelps, stumbling over a goblin corpse and nearly planting into the ground.

Finally coming to a halt, she straightens herself, and her many layers of clothing, greens and yellows bright against pale skin and hair. Turning her clouded eyes on the gnome, she forces a small smile as he tends to her with what she recognizes easily as some form of healing wnad. "That feels better already, thank you," she smiles, placing a hand over her own chest. "I am Helena, and this is Gwyn, and Fluff." She sighs at the sight of the horse. "And Imperious Rex," she adds, rolling her eyes (though it's hard to tell with the cludy film).

"Did I hear you say you have more wounded? I am a herbalist and healer of some modest talent, but you'll need to guide me to them."

"Oh thank you! I shan't have to worry if I'll starve to death," Fluff cries out before greedily digging into the piece of bread.

Gwyn glances at the carriage not ten feet from where she stands.

"Um, I think the elf guy in the carriage said that one of the coachmen was still alive," she says.

"The coachman is well taken care of, thank you, Helena." Cerin says with genuine appreciation. He stretches himself up to his full height, straining to see over the fallen tree. "I'm just concerned about Kyrian, it sounded like he was hurt quite badly!"

"The big, silent guy over here is Halvor. While he is a man of few words, he more than makes up for them by his actions! Over there tending to my friend Kyrian is Shalelu, who is not a regular member of our little group, we're just doing her a favor right now. We have some important work to take care of, but we have to stay close to speak to some big, important judge who is supposed to be arriving later today. How did you come to be involved in this little tussle, are you travelling with the coach? This is not the normal welcome to Sandpoint, I assure you! We are just having a bit of a problem with goblins right now, but we shall take care of them, never fear!" He chatters on without taking a breath as he strolls towards the log to see if he is needed.

Kyrian comes to a little groggy and confused as his first sight is Shalelu healing him. "I must say, easy on the eyes but well talented with the hands. You're a good person Shalelu, thanks for keeping my stupid ass alive..." he says as he rests his head back for a moment. "So if you're taking care of me, I can only guess that everyone else is okay? The last thing I remember was having that little bastard's blade go in deep and up across my chest. The funny part is that I don't know what hurts worse, my chest or my arm..."

Your humble narrator

Shalelu narrows her eyes at Kyrian's 'easy on the eyes' comment, then shakes her head as she helps him to his feet. "Thanks, and you're welcome. I think everyone's OK, and we met up with some other folks who were also fighting the goblins. Let's go meet them." At that, she scrambles over the log.

The elven nobleman who had been in the coach nods curtly to you. "Well, I suppose that thanks are in order. Goblins aren't this bold normally-- first the attack during the festival, and now this!" He examines the horses: one is stone dead, and the other is wounded with a dogslicer cut and an arrow. It whinnies and stomps in place, obviously very agitated.

He signs in apparent annoynance. "One horse dead, and the other needing to be put down. It would appear that I'll have to walk to Sandpoint now. Any idea how far it is... or if you've seen any other goblins on the road?"

Knowledge (local or nobility) DC 15:
This man is wearing the robes of the Justice Court of Magnimar.

Menawhile, Cerin and Helena work to revive the still-living coachman. He comes around and is a bit groggy, then suddenly gasps when he sees the body of his dead companion. "Goblins! Are there more goblins?!"

Elf Thief 1 | HP: 4/4 | AC: 6[13] | Saving Throw: 15 (13 vs. devices) | Skill Spec.: DEX, WIS | Arrows: 20

"No, they either ran or got cooked," Gwyn tells the man, her enthusiasm dampened by the fact that someone had died after all.

"Helena and I both rode horses here. Would you be able to use them to pull the carriage," she asks.

Imperious Rex, meanwhile gives Gwyn a glare.

"Here now, what's this talk of putting down!" Cerin exclaims indignantly as he looks at the man, trying to place him, but drawing a blank. "There's no need for that, she'll be fine."

He strides up to the horse and speaks soothingly to calm her while he carefully removes the arrow and uses his wand to heal the worst of her injuries. Once the horse is well taken care of, he taps Kyrian, Halvor and himself with the wand to make sure everyone is in tip-top shape in case there's another attack on the way back.

Halvor nods in agreement with Cerin. He had never understood why a hurt animal had to be put down and not nursed back to health. Then again, he also understood he wasn't very worldly. He sighed in relief as the wand healed the small wounds he had received during the fight. "Thanks, Cerin."

The warrior looks to Shalelu, "I'm assuming this was the group we were hunting, so we can now help escort these find folks back to Sandpoint?"

Walking up to the rest of the group while rubbing at his sore chest, he nods to Cerin as the wand seems to help the pain. "It's a shame we didn't get any of them still breathin, but I guess we'll just have to make do. For now, I suppose we could get these two lovely ladies and this man here into town for now and go from there. Pardon my tardiness from dealing with one of those ugly excuses for an abandoned child, but may I ask as to who you are?" Kyrian says as he holds his hand out.

"I'm Gwynethiel, the dandy over there," she motions to where horse stands posing in front of the one that Cerin is healing, "is Imperious Rex, and this little one," she holds out a finger which a small, fluffy-feathered thrush lands on, "is Fluff, my familiar."

"Hello! I'm sorry Gwyn nearly burned down your woods and all of the delicious nuts, berries and grubs," Fluff twitters pleasantly.

"Anyway," Gwyn says over Fluff, "why did you want to keep one alive?"

Kyrian scratches behind his head as the elf responds back to him. "I'm not gonna worry about the woods being caught on fire in a fight with goblins. They burn enough down as is. But keeping one alive... Well... We're trying to figure out why the raids have been getting worse lately. I'll leave it at that..."

"Nice to meet you lovely ladies." Kyrian responds. "I'm sure you've met my friends by now, so I'll keep it short, you can call me Kyrian, I'm sure we can find some other time to get to know each other better..." he says with a slight chuckle. Turning to Cerin, he starts speaking to him. "So shall we play escort and get these people into town? I'm starting to get tired of being sucker punched here you know what I'm sayin?"

"Excellent idea!" Cerin tells Kyrian. Turning towards Gwyn and Helena, he gestures towards the tree. "Could we prevail upon you to use your mounts to assist in clearing the road? If you would really like the whole story about what is going on, I can tell you; but I warn you now, it is not for the faint of heart! Murder, betrayal, demon-worship, and worse!
It all started (at least for us) a few days ago at the Swallowtail Festival..."
he continues telling the story in vivid detail as they move the log and continue the journey back to town.

I don't know how much detail everyone wants to go into, or if we just want to assume we fill you in?

Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)

Halvor, not being averse to anything being discussed, just simply starts moving the goblin bodies far off the road after stripping them of anything useful. He trusts Cerin and Kyrian to make good decisions, and if traveling with the ladies and the elf was a good idea to them, who was the bumbling fighter to disagree.

Besides, the one woman seemed energetic and fiery, and the other was quite lovely, even with the film over her eyes. He could certainly have worse traveling companions, if only for the short distance back to Sandpoint.

Gwyn stops in her tracks, not even listening as her left eye and ear twitch for a moment before she slowly turns her head towards the dandy of a horse prancing about. Imperious Rex stops as he notices the fury-filled glare of the wizard. Slowly, almost calmly, she walks up to the horse and grabs his reins.

"Three days, Imperious Rex, it was three days you wasted prancing about and throwing me off, so guess what mister? You get play draft horse," Gwyn tells him in a saccharine sweet voice, "After you help move the log, you'll be pulling the nice gentleman's carriage, and then, maybe I won't be tempted to turn you into a toad!"

For the first time since he came into Gwyn's possession, Imperious Rex looks meek.

"Oo! Oo! Oo, turn him into a worm instead," Fluff calls out from the safety of Helena's shoulder.

Gwyn does her best not to try and snap a spell off at the thrush and turn her into a buzzard.

"Um... Gwyn?" Helena offers calmly, resting a hand on the elf's shoulder. "If you turn him into a toad, you won't have a mount. Though I agree that making him pull the carriage is an appropriate recompense," she concedes, absent-mindedly lifting a hand to tickle Fluff. "Airithe can help, if we'd rather give the injured horse a rest. Poor thing could probably use it," she adds, making her way to the creature and calmly stroking its nose.

Gwyn sighs and turns to her friend with an embarrassed smile.

"That's a good point," she admits, "and I'd have to figure out how to turn him into one, but that doesn't mean I'm not tempted."

Imerious Rex glumly shuffles over to the log and awaits his punishment.

Fluff, on the other hand, decides it's safe enough to return to her master's shoulder.

"Hey Gwyn, You don't think that's the stuck-up, holier-than-thou elf those travelers were talking about do you," she asks just loud enough for everyone in the clearing to hear.

Your humble narrator

Everyone's hp and status is updated in the header.

In response to Halvor's question, Shalely confirms that this ambush was what she'd caught wind of. "I don't think the goblins that got away will be bothering us for a while, although they might get some amount of glory in their tribe for killing a horse."

The elven man's expression is somewhat cool as everyone makes their introductions to each other. After that is over, he says, "I am Bayl Ironbriar, of the Magnimar Justice Court. I have some business in Sandpoint. Are we far from there?"

The elf seems somewhat surprised when Cerin chooses to heal the injured horse rather than put it down, but certainly does not object. He also seems rather unamused at the banter between Helena and Gwyn, but brightens at Gwyn's offer of her horse to help pull the coach to town. "Thank-you! That is generous of you. I will certainly pay you all for your assistance once we get to civilization."

Between the five of you, Shalelu, and the three horses, you're able to drag the fallen tree off the road while the elf waits in the coach. You hitch both Airithe and Imperious Rex to the coach, and lead the coach's horse by its halter. You wrap the deceased coachman in his traveling cloak and stow his body. The remaining coachman takes the reins and with a "Giddiap!" the coach continues north along the road at a regular walking pace. The rest of you follow.

After an hour of travel, you make it back to Sandpoint. The coach heads straight for the garrison. As Ironbriar exits the coach, he hands Shalely a coin purse. "I always repay my debts. For your trouble on the road and for assisting me on my journey. Pleasse share it with your troop as you see fit." He then enters the Garrison.

Question: Did you search the dead goblins before you left? And what did you do with the bodies of the goblins and the dead horse?

Male Half Elf Investigator (Sleuth) 5 | HP: 28 | AC: 17/13/14 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +7 | Will: +5 | Init: +3 | Perception: 11 | Character Sheet

I'd imagine we'd search the goblins looking for anything that could possibly count as information, well, information best that could be given by a goblin lol.

Cerin did not want anything to do with the horrible little vermin that attacked; hopefully Kyrian might have searched them?

He would be in favor of leaving the dead bodies in the forest away from the road. Animals have to eat, it's the natural order!

Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)

I was going to say burn the bodies...but I wouldn't want to deprive the animals of a meal, and it's a lot less work. I would like to think we search anything we defeat, although we shouldn't neglect to state it, either.

Halvor seems a bit nervous once the elf introduces himself at Ironbriar. This was supposedly the Justice from Magnimar who was coming to meet with the higher-ups and probably take Tsuto back to dispense justice. It appeared that loose end was close to being tied up, which pleased the warrior. He just had that natural nervousness one got when around persons of authority.

So he stayed in the back, keeping an eye on the group's six while letting Cerin and Kyrian exchange banter with the two women, the coachman, and the elf. He found it passing odd that they had just parted ways with both Lynnda and Krissina, and here were two more ladies of a similar nature. Perhaps more playful than the previous duo, but quite effective. Looking particularly at the oracle, the fighter wished he was not quite so shy.

Instead he just continued plodding along, hoping Cerin or even Kyrian would start chatting with them so they could learn more about the two and what their plans were in town.

Elf Thief 1 | HP: 4/4 | AC: 6[13] | Saving Throw: 15 (13 vs. devices) | Skill Spec.: DEX, WIS | Arrows: 20

As they make their way to Sandpoint, Gwyn mends and cleans the blood from her clothes using her magic. Noticing that Halvor, the one who had barely said two words, was hanging back and looking towards Helena, she slows down a little until she's walking beside him.

"Halvor, right," she begins, "I can't help noticing the way you're looking at my friend. She won't bite, I promise."

Male Half Elf Investigator (Sleuth) 5 | HP: 28 | AC: 17/13/14 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +7 | Will: +5 | Init: +3 | Perception: 11 | Character Sheet

Kyrian chuckles at the elf's comment. "I don't think it's the biting he's worried about. He's always quiet like this, so don't think too much of it. Nothin to be ashamed about buddy!" he finishes saying while looking at Halvor.

After Ironbriar enters the garrison, Kyrian looks towards the group. "Aight then, what's next? Take some time to rest and figure out our next move?"

Helena agrees with the odd gnome's insistence on leaving the bodies off the road, glad to see someone else appreciated the natural order of things. And I'll have to speak with Gwyn about her fire-flinging ways, she reminds herself, before joining the odd little group.

She's content to listen to Cerinnibert's chatter, taking in the eevnts of the past few days, interjecting with gasps and exclamations. Her head swims, and she calls back, "Gwyn, I think we chose a bad time to come this way!"

------

Upon reaching Sandpoint, she sees the Justice inside, before looking to Kyrian, who seemed outgoing enough, while lacking in Cerin's exciteable chatter. "Kyrian, was it? My friend and I are looking for a scholar by the name of Quink. Have you any idea where we might find him?"

Short, sub-standard post due to fatigue. Apologies.

After Gwyn's comment, the warrior turns an ugly shade of crimson. His mouth opens several times as though he is about to say something, only to think better of it. Finally, he attempts to make a joke out of it.

"Are you sure? That's too bad..." He immediately regrets it, turning even more red, if possible. Halvor gives Kyrian a grateful smile for his help, relaxing somewhat.

Turning back to Gwyn, he speaks more steadily this time. "She, and you, for that matter, remind me of a couple of companions we recently parted ways with. Just an odd coincidence." He conveniently leaves out the fact that the woman was rather easy on the eyes, which made the looking all the more enticing.

Cerin chuckles. "Don't worry, Halvor is just a bit shy until he gets to know people. Especially lovely young women!" He punches Halvor softly in the side to show him he is just kidding.

"Oh, never fear! Everything will be fine." he replies to Helena's worries. "After we finish talking to the good Justice," he indicates the coach with an incline of his head, "we will be on our way to a supposed hideout of one of the goblin tribes responsible for the trouble to root out the problem at it's source!"

Cerin gives the goblin wearing the masterwork chain shirt (seemingly of gnome manufacture) a good kick as he removes it, outraged that the vermin would soil a perfectly good example of his people's craftsmanship.

After they gather the coins found on the bodies, he suggests "Since you helped take care of the problem, you should share in the rewards!" as he hands them some of the gold and silver. "Just keep Gwyn away from the Alchemist's Fire!" he says with a sly wink in her direction.

"Oh. My. If she heard that, I'm sure she'd be so red she'd turn blue. Don't worry, though, I'm not going to say a word," she tells Halvor

After seeing the good justice to his destination, and unhitching a sullen Imperious Rex from the carriage, she turns to the others.

"As Helena says, we're here looking for Brodent Quink, an old friend of my mentor. We also wanted to be here for the Swallowtail Festival, but I guess that will have to wait until next year," she grinds out through gritted teeth as she glares at Imperious Rex.

"Most importantly, though, we need a place to sleep and somewhere I can partake fo Cayden's nectar. Any suggestions," she asks in a much more cheery tone.

"You could find no better than the Rusty Dragon! The owner and proprietor, Ameiko, is a personal friend of ours. And you must ask for her spiced rolls, they are absolutely delicious; though all of their food is very good I must say. You want to go down this road and head east when you come to the large sign with the chicken, then..."

Cerin's directions, although colorful, are slightly confusing. When he sees the look on their faces, he stops. "If you would be willing to wait little bit, we could escort you there. We just have to give a statement to the Justice, fill in the blanks if the Sheriff leaves anything out of the story, it should take only a moment!"

"Well there may be some room at the Rusty Dragon, that's where we're staying anyways. We'll talk to Ameiko and see if there's some room. I'm sure she can tell you where to find Quink. You ladies going to be in town for a few days then I take it?" Kyrian says as Gwyn finishes talking.

There's really nothing I need from the list, aside from arrows. I don't know how many we found though. I'm fine with the amount of gold. Is that along with what was given to Shalelu or what's she splitting if any?

Lost in her own thoughts, Helena watches the trees crawl by as she walks, admiring the vibrant orange and gold tones of the autumn foliage. She is oblivious to the conversation around her, unaware that Gwyn and Halvor are discussing her, catching leaves on her own pale hands. So bleached and pale against the gleaming colours, she appears frail, ghostly, ephemeral.

She shakes her head slightly as if waking from a dream, her eyes swimming then focusing, watching the distance as it creeps into view. "A goblin hideout?" she asks, catching the last part of Cerin's speech. "Well, that sounds awfully dangerous. Fighting these few was trouble enough!"

---

She stares blankly at Cerin's directions, finally nodding. "Yes... it would probably be best if we followed you," she says finally, chuckling. "I don't think my memory can hold all that!"

Glancing at Kyrian, fixing him with her clouded stare, she adds, "Gwyn's really the one in charge of our little trip. I'm here for emotional support." She smiles, wrapping an arm around the elf's shoulders. "Though I suspect we'll be here for a few days, yes."

Halvor grins sheepishly at Cerin's good-natured ribbing, then smiles gratefully at Gwyn. "I would appreciate that."

When they arrive at the Garrison, the warrior nods along with Cerin & Kyrian's words. "Yes, Miss Ameiko puts on the best spread in town, and knows how to treat her friends. This business with Ironbriar is kind of about her family, actually. Give us a few to get done here, then we can get you to the Rusty Dragon, get a meal in you, and get you into bed."

"Into your own bed. Alone. Of course." The warrior bites his lip for a moment, then quickly turns and rumbles into the building, clanking the whole way.

Kyrian snorts slightly at Halvor's remark as he turns to follow him inside. "Come on Cerin, Halvor's right. We should get this done now so we can help these ladies find a bed of their own. In which they can be alone of course..." he says as he can't hold on and begins to laugh. Catching up to Halvor, he gives him a big pat on the back and grabs his shoulder as they walk forward. "Smooth buddy, so very smooth." he says to the fighter with a large grin on his face.

Gwyn and Fluff couldn't help it. Once Kyrian breaks out laughing, Gwyn isn't far behind.

"What's this? Barely known me for a few hours and you're already trying to imagine what I wear under this," she says through her chuckles, her fluffy-feathered friend letting loose a twittering laugh.

"You know," she says, snaking her arms around both Kyrian and Halvor as her voice gets deeper and more sultry, "I'm always willing to share my bed. I'm sure I can keep you two quiet enough to keep form embarrassing Helena too much."

Hearing the elf's comments, Kyrian raises a brow. "Oh really? Is that the case? Why not just save yourself the trouble and stay in my bed?" he replies while a sly grin comes across his face.

And this is why we needed Krissian and Lynnda. To keep Kyrian out of trouble lmao.

Halvor's face burns so red it could be classified as purple as the elven enchantress goes 'there'. "That's awful kind of you...but I don't think I'm the sharing sort. With more than one person, I mean. Two seems like a perfect number for bedtime. I don't particularly care for odd numbers, and three is certainly odd, ya know? Ummmm...I'll think about it?"

Thoroughly flustered, the warrior tries to quick step away from both Kyrian and Gwyn, muttering something about seeing the Sheriff.

Matching Kyrian's sly smile, she whispers to him, "that's for me to know and you to fantasize about."

She smiles at him before going after Halvor.

"Sorry, sorry! I was just teasing, honest," she says with an embarrassed laugh, "I'm just a tease, and you just happened to be the one that got caught. Lemme buy you a drink or three to make up for it."

The warrior stops, giving Gwyn the panicked rabbit look. A look of suspicion crosses his features, particularly at the offer to buy alcohol. He finally nods, a bit confusedly. "It's ok. I'm a bit thick sometimes...I take everything people say as being serious. Ummmm...not that I wouldn't be flattered to...well, you know. Anyway, apology accepted. We can drink together later, sure. Sounds like fun." He offers the wizardess a shy smile, then continues inside.

Kyrian laughs as Gwyn responds. After Halvor stammers his way over his tongue, Kyrian picks up. "Fantasizing only goes so far though, but no worries. I've got someone else I can share my bed with if you don't want to share it with me." he says with a wink to the woman before continuing inside.

Cerin grins and shakes his head at Gwyn and Kyrian's antics as he walks inside.

"So, Justice Ironbriar, we know you are a busy man and we don't want to take up any more of your valuable time than we have to. What would you like to know?"

"I'm sure you do," Gwyn replies to Kyrian.

-----

"Oh, that's going to cause a problem, isn't it," Gwyn says awkwardly looking away.

"Taking everything I say as serious is only going to cause trouble for both of us. I've been told I must have had a trickster for a father or a mother. I guess I'll see you at the Rusty Dragon then."

Your humble narrator

Shalelu hands out five platinum nobles to each of you. "Well, he did tell me to share these with my 'troops.'' She watches Gywn's suggestive antics qith a wry grin, and shakes her head slightly.

As the five of you plus Shalelu rib each other in front of the Garrison, Deputy Zandu walks out of the building, walking quickly down Main Street, passing you. He then glances your way, does a double-take, and stops in his tracks. "Oh! You're already here! The Sheriff sent me to find you! That judge from Magnimar is here, and he wants to hear from you what you learned of the traitor Tsuto Kaijitsu." He looks at the two new faces, and adds, "Um... where are Krissina and that other friend of yours?" Cerin explains that Lynnda had to leave town unexpectedly on family business, and that Krissina is probaly at the Rusty Dragon. He then runs off to fetch her.

Halvor, Kyrian, and Cerin enter the garrison, and you're shown to the now-familiar conference room. Seated at the table are the sheriff, Mayor Deverin, and Justice Ironbriar. As you enter, Ironbriar is thumbing through Tsuto's journal. The judge seems honestly surprised to see you again so soon. "You again?" He looks to the sheriff and mayor, "It seems that your town is fortunate to have people like these around! These three men, plus three other women, assisted me with some goblin trouble on the road."

After introductions are made, the Sheriff asks where Lynnda and Krissina are. Cerin again explains that Lynnda had to leave town unexpectely, and that Deputy Zandu was off to fetch Krissina. As if on cue, there is a knock on the door, and an out-of-breath Krissina enters.

The judge nods. "So. Let's begin. Now, this is not a trial-- it is an evidentiary hearing. The accused himself need not be present. I understand that one Tsuto Kaijitsu stands accused of murder, treason, and conspiracy to create mayhem. So, in your own words, please tell me what brings you to this serious accusation."

I don't think we need to RP this out directly. Instead, let me know whether you're going to mbellish anything, or deliberately leaving anything out.

Meanwhile, outside the garrison, Shalelu, Gwyn, and Helena stand in awkward silence for a few moments. Shalelu breaks the ice by saying, "Well, if that goes as I expect it to, they're going to be in there for at least an hour. I'll be happy to show you to the Rusty Dragon..."

The warrior glances back at the elven woman. "I'll try not to be such poor sport for you, next time." He offers another shy smile before heading in after being herded by Zandu.

Halvor will follow Cerin's lead, but will tell the story straight, with no embellishments and will offer up any details that he knows of in full, damning or complimentary.

"Yes, please. That'd be great," Gwyn says before turning to Helena.

"So, do you mind sharing a room with me again," she asks.
