"Atanda didn't hire us!" one of the sailors says while pointing to the halfling that was a triceratops seconds ago. "We fought against her when she mutinied against the captain with her friends! During that fight the Pride of Aspenthar breached its hull on an outcropping of rock, and quickly sank. The few of us made it here and Atanda forced us to help her. She said she would throw us from the pillar and even threw old Jake of to show her point!"

He points to the bound prisoner "Then a few days ago this pathfinder entered our camp, talking in this weird tongue. He was very weak and Atanda has us subdue him and bind him"

The prisoner speaks to Dario in a flowing tongue "आपकी मदद के लिए बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद! मैं Ilzinian, सलाई मिशन के नेता हूं।"

Fiend series | Shackles

What you learned in the briefing:
Calisro Benarry recently hired a Thuvian caravel, the Pride of Aspenthar, to ferry another Pathfinder team to explore the second level of Sevenfingers’s domain.

Equipped with Benarry’s magical folding boat and led by the paladin Jaohd Ilzinian, the team was tasked with using the Orb of Stars to freeze the Gloomspires in place so they could reach the site safely.

However, when the Pathfinders failed to return for their rendezvous with Benarry at their appointed time, Benarry feared the worst. The venture-captain has had just enough time to cobble together a replacement team and return to the Gloomspires in time for the next solstice—their only chance to mount a rescue in the next half year.

You are the replacement team

Ilzinian answers in Celestian when Maldrek's question is put to him by Zavista "I took the folding boat inside. I don't know where it is now. I did not have it when I came out"

Dario nods. "Ilzinian should come with us. The rest of them can stay here, since they're stuck anyway."

What I can piece together:

(As long as everyone is telling the truth) Ilzinian led a team of Pathfinders into the Gloomspires. They used the Pride of Aspenthar (ship) to get to the spires and along the way, and Ilzinian bragged to the crew about the folding boat. While Ilzinian was in the spires, he lost his memory and team, but somehow made it out. While that was happening, Atanda mutinied against the crew and damaged the Pride of Aspenthar, sinking it. She forced a handful of the surviving crew to help her. Ilzinian wandered into their camp a few days later, speaking only celestial.

Just before you are about to untie the man Doyote says (in common) that he does not trust the man, there seems to be something he is hiding. You question the paladin, but he is not able (or willing?) to give more details. In the end you decide to unbind the paladin and give him back his weapon and armor.

You easily find the entrance of Sevenfingers’s tomb. Since the events of Hall of the Flesh Eaters, no creatures have moved to occupy the uppermost level, and it takes you only a short time to reach the stairs to the second level. The heavy door to the second level has been chopped to pieces, though you can tell it once depicted an immense scowling face.

DC 15 Knowledge (Engineering):

The spiral stairs descend 80 feet from the Hall of the Flesh Eaters to a large mist-filled chamber. Skarn and Maldrek see something moving in the mists, while Fiana also signals that she has caught the scent of something.

For each negative level a creature has, it takes a cumulative –1 penalty on all ability checks, attack rolls, combat maneuver checks, Combat Maneuver Defense, saving throws, and skill checks. In addition, the creature reduces its current and total hit points by 5 for each negative level it possesses. The creature is also treated as one level lower for the purpose of level-dependent variables (such as spellcasting) for each negative level possessed. Spellcasters do not lose any prepared spells or slots as a result of negative levels. If a creature's negative levels equal or exceed its total Hit Dice, it dies.

I might be jumping ahead a bit, but not sure I can post again later today...

Henrick steps up to the cairn wight and swings his mighty urgrosh in an attempt to cut the beast in two.

Power Attack, undead enemy: 1d20 + 10 - 2 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 10 - 2 + 4 = 32
Confirm?: 1d20 + 10 - 2 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 10 - 2 + 4 = 30 I assume that confirms :)

Damage: 1d8 + 11 + 4 + 1d8 + 11 + 4 + 1d8 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 4 + (7) + 11 + 4 + (4) + 11 + 4 = 62

oh my.... Can I intimidate the mist for free now??

Fiend series | Shackles

With those knowledge rolls I give you everything. It was actually knowledge dungeoneering I see now...
Henrick, you forgot 1 damage per roll from prayer

Maldrek identifies the mist as a Hungry fog. Although he sees the wight vaguely in the fog he fails to hit the undead.

The wight spears Henrick again, which further weakens the dwarf
Power Attack, prayer: 1d20 + 12 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 12 - 2 - 1 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 6 - 1 = 11

Will Save Henrick: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Concealment Wight, low is concealed: 1d100 ⇒ 96

Henrick retailiates and slashes his urgrosh over the body of the wight. For a moment it seems as if it will outright kill the undead, but Henrick is not so lucky. The abomination straightens and licks it lips....

Henrick seems to be in trouble, with the two gaping holes in his chest!

From Hungry Fog description: Thus, while a hungry fog is not an undead creature, undead gain considerable boons by fighting within a hungry fog, for its mists heal them as surely as they drain vitality from the living creatures caught within.

Zavita moves next to just in front of Melrek, Zavita shoots a spear of holy energy towards the wight.

Henrick, it likely has class levels

Will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 sorry guys (Zavita, blindness is for outsiders only)

Zavita's spear connects and does damage to the wight. It seems to be holding on by pure evilness, a minor wound might destroy it...
