Dylan, to use intimidate and expecting a mechanical benefit out of it requires an intimidate as a standard action. Nothing stops you from talking and saying potentially intimidating things, but just know that since you attacked, you can't use the intimidate skill to bestow the mechanical "shaken" condition on the enemy.
Ralof, don't forget to add the initial Ranged attack modifier of +7 before adding the extra bonuses of bless, pbs, ect...

Since there was no alternative to cause Ammy to stop making the check, his standard action this round finishes up the knot, but it doesn't hold. (next time we'll roll once completed with the action instead of the middle of the action). He still has a move action he can use.

Because this might become even more important now that silence has been cast.. I did a quick mock-up of the room in both a side-view, and again in top down.
On the first drawing, the sideview shows our current positions, and adds the 20' Radius that is present in both of Dylan's Light spell and Silence Spell..
The second drawing re-represents that data to include how much that radius actually covers when reaching the ceiling.
The same can be represented for the Derro's Darkness effect, but I left that over to the side for now to avoid confusion.
As you can see, there are places currently for the Derro to move to that are not effected by silence/light. He may try to take advantage of them.
