I'm glad I increased my Constitution last level! It's helping to stop my Con drain from affecting my hp, and it's just high enough to stop me from dying this turn! :P

This is pretty tough. Giuseppe, can I ask how it gets to make 5 attacks in one turn? Does it have a bunch of natural attacks?

The biggest problem about the fiend is that you're far from civilization and you had no chance to properly equip to fight it. It had RD 10/cold iron or good, and good elemental resistances. No one could identify the creature, and as such it was really hard to find a way to defeat it. Honestly, I also thought to exclude this encounter since you had not any means to overcome it, but I think that from a character's perspective it has sense fighting a much stronger opponent: it helps your characters to realize that even though they're the Heroes of Kassen and Tamran, there's still something more powerful than them in the universe.

Anyway, since Korech informed us he will be away for the next few days, I think we should track the charges spent from his wand here in the Discussion Thread. Please help me to do so by posting here as soon as your character spends some charges from the wand.

I figured as much, it was going to be an uphill battle. Calden might have switched to his cold iron temple sword after finding unarmed attacks useless. Still it would have taken quite some time to find the right weapon, with the fiend tearing into us. Very tough. We always knew knowledges were a weak spot of the group, though. I like how you handled this in the end.

I'm still good to go for a couple of encounters more. But, as Shirzon said, Merephel's spells and channels are probably the deciding factor. Also, we don't know when the next opportunity to rest will be, if we decide to push on now.

I've used more than half my channels, and most of my big spells, but I have more than half my spells still. I vote we keep going until we find a safe place to hole up, and if we get in another fight, we should be okay. I may have even two more in me, as long as they don't hit too hard. Of course, if we find a safe place to pass the night, having my big spells back would be good too.

Meph, I'm sorry about it but I can't allow you to cast that spell. Communal protection from evil is from Ultimate Combat, and as such, is not a legal option in this campaign.

I'll assume, for the sake of simplicity, that Merephel casts shield of faith on herself, draws her mace and steps into the magic fog.

As suggested in-game, we could do a quick sweep of the bodies, taking the magic items and other valuables (masterwork and currency). Otherwise we'll leave the rest.

Also, now might a be a good time to rest. Gives Merephel a time to replenish her spells, and gives us some more in-game time to talk with our prisoner.
