Here's the OOC discussion thread. Please chat away to your hearts content ;-)

I have a small preference for playing a wizard, but I'm flexible :-)

I'm currently leaning towards the cleric, but I will say there's a not unlikely chance I might make a bard instead (given that it's almost always my favorite class in any game I play).

Paizo Employee Organized Play Line Developer

I have honestly no idea which class I want to play, yet. But, I'm happy to be here!

Thanks again for running it. I am not sure what I want to play yet. I was thinking maybe paladin or maybe alchemist. But I am flexible.

Hello! Looking forward this. Also no idea what class I'll play.

Ok, great, we've got a full table. No reason to hurry on figuring out characters, we won't have the rules for another month anyway ;-)

I'll ping everybody again once the rules have dropped so we can be sure to get things moving for real.

Once I have the book, I'll have my character made within that day. Then, I'll probably rebuild it about 10 times before it's where I like it.

Hey folks, I think it would be fun to play the second (and maybe 3rd) scenario with the same group. I am willing to run the second one as part of the second session of the Gameday if you all would be interested? Then if someone else wanted to pick up the third after that, that would be really cool to have an established group playing through like that.

Hey GM Garett, would you mind opening up the Gameplay tab so we can dot in? Just we can find this game quickly.

The gameplay thread has been created. Feel free to dot in.

FWIW, I'd be happy to play in the second adventure during part 2 of the game day, although it's SUPER likely that this won't actually be done by the time part 2 starts, since we're taking such a slow start due to my vacation at the end of August.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

That is fine. The gameday part isn't as important if it is all the same players. If it is all of us, then we would just pick up once one ends. We won't need to follow a set scheduled date.

So far I have heard from meloriel, The Chess, and you. Half way there! I am excited to get this going!

Also, thanks for opening gameplay! I am dotted in!

I'd more than happy to play through all the playtest PFS scenarios with a fixed group!

(Before I knew about this, I did apply to Redelias offer for Raiders of Shrieking Peak, but once it's more or less certain that our group here moves on to the next scenarios, I'll withdraw my application there.)

Dotting! I'd love to playtest with a Paladin, Human or Dwarf probably. I'm all in for continuing the scenarios after the first one :)

As I mentioned to GM Garrett, I'm more than happy to run the 3rd part.

We have heard from everyone besides yogadragon saying they are in for running the future games. He never responded to my PM.

Note that yogadragon hasn't dotted in to the gameplay thread either, so maybe they're just not around right now.

Cool! I've withdrawn my application for the other game, so that I can stay with this group.

I've dotted in now, so I should be more responsive since these will show up with new posts now.

What are the other two playtest scenarios? And are we allowed to play in them more than once? I think I'm signed up to play in one of them at Gencon...

I believe the PFS playtest scenarios are replayable, although exact details of how PFS is supposed to work with the playtest are not yet available so I could be wrong on that.

Worst comes to worst you could play them for no credit.

FYI, today's blog post confirms that all the scenarios are indeed replayable.

I did not know there was a 4th adventure planned for PFS. Anyone interested in running that once since we have had a volunteer for the first 3? The fourth will probably be the trickiest to run since it is based on 10 level characters.

Let's talk about that when we get closer to the time to play it. If no one else wants to, I will run it.

I definitely want to try out the bard. There's a lot of changes I'm excited to see in action.

Is there anywhere we can look at for the changes? I’d love to start preparing the Paladin already :) especially if I can make it work with a Dwarf.

Paizo Employee Organized Play Line Developer

Not that I'm aware of. I've only seen the information from the blog posts so far.

We have about 2 weeks until the playtest materials drop.

Yeah, there's really nothing you can do to prep at this point beyond reading the blog posts. Only 16 days to go till the PDFs drop though!

So, anyone have a clearer idea of what they're going to make?

Paizo Employee Organized Play Line Developer

Bard. But I'm not sure what race.

I'll probably do a druid.

I’d like to try a paladin, or something of the sorts. Until I see the beta materials, though, I can’t say for sure if nothing else will catch my attention. I love Dwarves, by the way, but without certain archetypes they don’t seem to be too good of a choice for the pallies.

I guess I'll go for a human wizard.

Not that you can make use of this yet (unless you're lucky enough to have an early physical copy of the books), but just FYI here are the rules for generating a 1st level playtest character.

All right everybody, the pdfs have dropped. I hope you're all enjoying them. Please feel free to start kicking around character ideas, the sooner everyone figures out what they want to play the sooner we can start the game. I'm more than happy to run before the official start day on the PBP game day ;-)

I clicked the download button a minute after it released. It's been hours since then. My estimated download time remaining is a whopping 1 day, 7 hours, and 37 minutes.

Somehow, I don't think I'll be having any character ideas to offer any time soon... Haha.

But, man, when it finally loads, I am there!

Wow, you might seriously want to try clicking that again in another browser window. Unless you're on the other end of a really slow internet connection it shouldn't be that slow. The file is simply not that large ;-)

I got mine downloaded, I will read when I can! I will keep you all in the loop!

I am thinking a Dwarven Barbarian using the spirit totem.

Yeah, I tried a bunch of different stuff with no success. Suddenly about a half hour ago it just decided to work and downloaded the rest in a few minutes. Very weird. Still, it worked. I am a happy camper.

I'm going to be making a gnomish bard, probably a maestro, but I haven't decided on my background yet.

I didn't notice it was available! I already downloaded and will start reading. I'll start building my paladin tomorrow :)

I'm still digesting the playtest book, but I have so say that so far I like the way they handled the "Half-" races.

I'm not done reading through the classes (although GD fighter has a lot of class feats!) but I am currently leaning towards a druid of some kind (Granted it won't matter in the playtest, but one of their 10th level spells lets them turn into a Kaiju; just sayin').

Okay, I got my character built. For the first game, I'll be a level 1 Halfling Druid.

I would recommend using this format for entering your character's data, it gives us pretty good visibility into all the commonly needed info.

I'm building a Goblin Paladin, because why the hell not. I can't believe I just said that! :)

Here's Lunarius, my wizard:

Still need to covert it to the forum format, though.

Hi, Meloriel here. This is my gnomish bard's alias. She's ready to go. Only her backstory needs some work still. That and I haven't chosen her instrument of choice yet. Haha.

And here's the actual character.

GM, since these will be throw-away characters anyway, I've only copied the most relevant info to my header, and linked to the downloadable sheet for the full info. Of course GM, if you really want me to copy them over textually, I will do so :-)
