As for the loot...wow.

Now...speaking as the party bard. here is how I would vote that it goes...

* The armor goes to Ulark
The armor is battered, well used, and can give DR based on alignment. That just screams Tortured Crusader. I think that it would suit him perfectly.

* The hammer goes to Thuradin
It is a hammer, which is the sacred weapon of Torag. So it will increase it's damage dice as he levels. He is also a giant hunter, and this weapon is a holy weapon for the giants. There is something poetic about it. Dwarves believe that Torag created the world on his forge, and the giants believe that this hammer was used to create them. Now a dwarven warpriest of Torag uses the hammer as his sacred weapon to hunt down the giants. I like the idea. I also like the idea that for an item which is the holy weapon of an enemy pantheon, that we would trust it to someone who is connected to our god. Because how else can we be sure that the weapon won't turn on us?

Anyways, that's just how I would do it.

Who wants to share the True Love Locket with Belir? I have Bodyguard which would give a good bonus to another frontliner.

Just want to say...was in an all elf campaign once. It imploded because too many people wanted to be in charge. This led to backbiting, passive-aggressiveness, and finally the death of the campaign.

Here we have two major artifacts and nobody is fighting over them. We’ve got a great group.

I've had a family thing going on today and i have my local PFS lodge's monthly game day tomorrow where i'm running a level of the Emerald Spire Superdungeon... i hope you all understand that i haven't had time for leveling up just yet.

On the plus side i have a day off work on monday (YAY!) with minimal plans so I can easily get Torith leveled up then. :)

All suggestions for loot look great to me. I'll skim over the loot list and mark anything useful.

I'm thinking of taking this level in a trapfinding class - Scavenger archetype of Investigator looks fun and as well as useful.

I've decided on a bird for Gundar's animal companion. Gonna say he's a Great Horned Owl cuz having one of those on a dwarf's shoulder seems fitting.

Gundar may go ahead and buy his own masterwork breastplate - he's got plenty of gold stored up and with whatever his cut of this ends up being it's probably worth it to upgrade his equipment, especially the parts of it that keep him alive.

I put Torith's name against some MW thieves tools on the list. The basic set of thieves tools picked up earlier can be sold and the money go in the group pot. It's only 15g, but it all adds up in the end.

I'm also going to pick up some tools for craft (clockwork) as soon as the opportunity arises.

That is up to you all, but here is a summary from my perspective:

There is a little more than 10k cash after what has been sold, which split 7 ways is about 1,425 each.

However, Belir, Thuradin and Ulark have claimed some big ticket items (and I think you are better using these than selling them, although I don't know about the locket...)

So if you take them out of the running (excepting for little items), you can split the 10k four ways to get about 2500 each.

My recommendation is that you adjust your shares as time goes on based on what you each need. To that end, as you take a share, I will list it in the party outlays column, so you can sort of see how everyone is shaking out.

Most of these APs don't really seem to favor equal shares, especially at the beginning.

I like equal split in theory, but IME it doesn't turn out that way by nature of the AP. I've been through and heard about some AP's that have loot that favors certain types of characters, which makes sense thematically, but if we always give the big ticket item away without any sort of compensation to the rest of the party you end up with significant wealth disparities. I would be shocked if there were true big ticket items for each of our characters in any AP.

I don't think we should keep it even gold piece for gold piece, but I think SOME level of shifting the gold would be worth while. It doesn't even have to be every time we get a major item, but perhaps every couple of levels we take "inventory" and see if we need to divvy up the raw gold we get in the future to compensate for any glaring differences in wealth.

Looking at the items we just got, the hammer is a +4 weapon with "powers that are currently dormant." A +4 weapon by itself is 32,000gp. Assuming average wealth by level, that's a grand shy of an 8th level character. The armor is priced at 11,350, about a grand over a 5th level character.

Are these HUGE boons for the party? Absolutely. But with the amount of value those two items have, I think we should then divvy the loot up so that other characters can have a more equitable share of the wealth. Again, I don't think it should be gold piece for gold piece, but we should have some way of tipping it in the favor of the other party members in the event wealth disparities don't become resolved by the AP.

Just as an example of what I am proposing we do:
Every even level, we compare the total value of our items, shouldn't be difficult with the GM's awesome spreadsheet. If a character's wealth is less than half the difference between the expected wealth by level of his previous and current level, that character will receive a larger share of future gold until the gap is bridged. (I see something like this as a way to lift the floor up without punishing the ceiling for using cool items granted by the AP)

What I am NOT proposing we do:
Thuradin, you have an 8th level characters gold. When the rest of us have that much wealth, you can start getting loot again. (To me, this seems punitive and unfair)

With that monstrosity of a post having been said, I will go with the majority opinion and have a good time either way.

You make a very good point on the disparity, Thozar. I normally would call for whatever's easiest with the understanding that we the player will make up disparities by occasionally sharing our wealth, but a +4 weapon is a fairly extreme swing. The four-way split for those of us without a new toy seems fine.

No real opinion on the locket, never encountered one before and it has a very nice sell value. :)

Assuming we know what the locket is, we know how it works.
Reading over the locket, you need a pair of them to operate. So far we only have one, which means that someone out there is wearing the second one, probably whoever the lock of hair belongs to.
So right now we have half of a magic item.

Regarding the locket, Thuradin is correct. You only have half. (Where is the other half??)

So I wouldn't count that amount against Belir for simply being the one to carry it. If he wants it when it is rejoined, then I would say you count it as his share then.

I like where you are going with balancing things, though. This allows you to more easily pass items between each other, as your interests may vary.

I've seen similar issues in APs as Thozar, both ones I've GM'd and ones I've played in.

Some kind of balancing would be nice and Thozar's suggestion sounds fairer than a GP value based split.

I can't see Torith ever needing a weapon anyway, except as back up in some kind of anti-kineticist field (which totally is a thing. I'm not paranoid, you are!).

It would be nice to have a little extra gold from time to time so Torith can invest in something nice :)

What sort of check would it be to learn about will o wisps?

With talk of undead and fey, I do have this ability, just so everyone is aware:

Spirit Sense
At 1st level, a menhir savant can detect the presence of undead; fey; outsiders; and astral, ethereal, or incorporeal creatures. This ability functions like detect undead, and the druid detects all of these creatures rather than trying to detect one kind.

I can do it all the time, I can also perform some level of scouting with wild shape too. Or both!

Being a druid and we are about to do some nature stuff, do y'all have any spell suggestions? I have selected a few that I think would be useful, but as this is my first druid, I may be missing some superior options through ignorance. Spells are in their own tab on my profile if you care to look them over.

A gamble, but it paid off. Low Str is my biggest complaint with this character. This fixes that. Quite happy.

Ioun Stones not used in the wayfinder will be embedded in his arms. Should look cool to have a dwarf covered in precious stones.
