At first Balmir had hoped that the orcs would rush his fortified position. Seeing that his compatriots didn't wait Balmir mutters under his breathe, drops the guisarme and climbs over the barricade. He starts moving as quickly as he can towards the orcs. At the same time he grabs the haft of his waraxe and swings it into a striking position.
I think I got this right. I did a double move. Took 2 movement points to get over the barricade, move 2 squares, then move 4 squares for my second move.

Ouch! I had to look up a few things, but I am ruling that the deflection aura is still in place, so by moving into it, Mouser gets the +2 AC. Unfortunately, it still wasn't enough to prevent the crit.

If you want to use intimidation next round, I'll give you a +5 bonus. Yes, overkill was right! So, if you don't know how orcs work, they really only have 6 hit points. But their orc ferocity says that after that, they are simply staggered until they hit -12! They do lose 1 hp each round, but that rarely has been an issue in this game. So once you see they are staggered, they are really bleeding out but stubbornly still fight on.

Probably not, because your were not threatened. You did, however, snap him out of it, so 12 damage is fine, but you can't move past him without giving him an AoO.

It looks like Derrik would have incurred an AoO to come back to me. I'm not sure if he could delay, I'll come back to him, and then get healed?
