Would you like the grppli bolt ace or the witch to join you all on this adventure? I have no preference.

Out of curiousity, how did you acquire your grippli boon? That's something I'd love to get my hands on.
As far as what to play, I say choose whichever you want to play more.
GM Fuzzfoot |
I got mine as a GM Boon from GameDay 2016. It says GM Boon #3 on it, so it was probably random what you got for being a GM.
GM Fuzzfoot |
We are still waiting on 3 to check in. One looks like they may have disappeared from the site, and another is in a different game but may have a second character available.
I have PM'd all three. Once at least one checks in, we can start, as these early scenarios were designed for 4 anyway.

I'm still pretty new to this so maybe someone could help me with this, but instead of a job roll could I use Shlevin’s down time to learn a new formula granted I had the gold to cover it? Or is there a way to use time in a PFS session to learn another from a wizard in group or a caster in a town?
Also, I'm really sorry about double booking my character like an a-hole. It's pretty embarrassing.
Johnn Moreau |
Sorry Shlevin, I've been out of PFS for a few years myself, so I don't know personally, but if I remember right, there isn't a way to do that during the session.
Would you guys prefer it if I focused on archery or melee for this game? He can effectively do either one. (three feats make him highly flexible!)
GM Fuzzfoot |
The day job roll, if you have one, is simply a bonus bit of gold for you.
There is nothing to say how long downtime is. So if you want to learn new spells, etc., you can - you just need to make the rolls, etc.
If there is another character in the group willing to let you copy a spell, that is no problem. Technically, they can't charge you for it, but most people I know are happy to share. If you want to learn from a caster in town, the only real way to do this is to buy a scroll, assuming that you meet all of the other requirments (like limits on purchases based on Fame).
Shlevin |
Thank you that was actually really clarifying. I wasn't sure why a lot of people didn't roll, if they were planning something else. I will keep that in mind when this character has some gold.
Giovanni Stellaluce |
Hi folks, sorry for the lateness. Just getting back from some work travel and the boards have been a mess.

Sumil |
Forgot to mention this in my post, but Sumil is pretty set up for melee combat, so if you'd prefer to stay ranged, John, since those are the feats you've chosen, it shouldn't be an issue.

Sorry if I am a little late. I just got home and found your pm.
Haska is my first alchemist. He is fairly staight forward mechanically. Currently he has only 20 foot movement wearing a chain shirt.
He tends to be helpful and friendly but in a sarcastic way.
I hope i am not too late to join the fun.
Haska O'Wydroe |
I would like to copy Illusion of calm and coin shot. These seem fun. 20 gp, two pages and 2 hours of work.
Shlevin |
I would like Heightened Awareness*, Enlarge Person*, Comprehend Languages*, Identify* for 40gp and four hours. Shlevin can work on these throughout the adventure and won't use them until it's over if there isn't enough free time to get the four hours in one run. If he could aquire one per day or something that works too. Basically I'm good with anything that allows me to copy the formulas.
GM Fuzzfoot |
There is really no time constraint here, so as long as no one objects, you could be copying spells while they look for a suitable sewer entrance.
Sumil |
Is there more to do for finding a sewer entrance? We don't have a map, so aside from deciding if we're doing a major or minor waterway (and majority seems to vote for the larger waterways) I'm unclear as so what else we need to do to move on.
Edit: Nvm, you've cleared that up as I was posting.
Sumil |
Agreed, this might be my best paced PFS game at the moment, nice to have an attentive group (DM included).
Shlevin |
Agreed. I'm starting time favor this game quite a bit. For some I'm lucky to get a post a day from anyone
GM Fuzzfoot |
Thank you! I was actually feeling for being a little slow lately...
Haska O'Wydroe |
This is going great! It always seems I am reading two or three posts each time I check the board which is twice a day or so. That is a nice change. Thank you, Fuzzfoot, you are running a very fun PBP.
GM Fuzzfoot |
Well, the scenario didn't really have a contingency for a diplomatic solution, but I thought you all did a great job of coming up with a story and the rolls reinforced it. Nicely done!
Shlevin |
That's what makes a great GM. And you sir, are a great GM. I'm also in your Shades of Ice campaign and you're doing amazing there too. Not to kiss too much ass but you've become my favorite PbP GM by far. Keep up the good work!
Shlevin |
Could prestidigitation create a small breeze? Mayne not enough to disperse the cloud but possibly move it by 5 ft in one direction? Or create one of those big fanning leaves they use in the desert?
GM Fuzzfoot |
No, I am afraid not. It may not make logical sense, but as a cantrip it isn't able to really minimize higher level spells. Now, a Gust of Wind would probably do it.
The cloud is only lasting 2 rounds anyway, so it is about to dissipate.
Shlevin |
It was more of a future reference question, but I figured there was a limitation no matter how creative I got with it.
Giovanni Stellaluce |
Having played an Alchemist with Stink Bombs for the last 3 years in another campaign, the irony of getting screwed now by stinking cloud is not lost on me.
GM Fuzzfoot |
That is essentially it except for roleplaying out the end. I am working on chronicles now, but before I report:
Giovanni - the ID you gave me is for a CORE character. If I report it, it will become a non-core character (which for an unchained rogue is the case anyway). I just wanted to double check with you before I submit it though, in case you gave me the wrong ending id (-2), since I know some people have characters with the same name but a core and non-core version.
Giovanni Stellaluce |
hmm. shouldn't be listed as core. previous session was for normal: http://paizo.com/campaigns/GM8574MistsOfMwangi2017
non-core is fine.
Haska O'Wydroe |
Very fun everyone. The last battle was a little frustrating, but we prevailed. Thanks, Sumil, for hanging in there. Thanks, also to GM Fuzzfoot. I think this is my second scenario with you as GM and it has been wonderful both times.
Shlevin |
This was a great scenario. I loved the whole team! I'm bummed out it's over. Wonder if there is a part two? Just throwing it out there...
GM - You did a great job dude. I haven't been doing this long but you're easily one of my favorites. I'm going to be looking for your games specifically from now on. You're definitely top tier, keep doin what you're doin.
Giovanni Stellaluce |
I'm shocked we finished so quickly. Great group! I could take Giovanni out again at lvl 1 if we spun up another game.
Shlevin |
As could I. As fast as this went I think we could squeeze in two before I've finished one of my other games. It's always the best that are the shortest. GM needs to go ahead and run us an AP lol
GM Fuzzfoot |
Thanks, all! I appreciate the kind words, and this was a great group.
There is no follow on to this scenario that I know of, but I would be happy to run something else for you. I do need the next few weeks off, though.
Johnn Moreau |
So, just print that off, and stick it with the character sheet?
Sorry. This is the first time I've done. pfs via pbp

GM Fuzzfoot |
Yep. I actually only play PbP, but I know a number of people that switch back an forth, and they just print them out and stick them in their folders. Some only keep them electronic and show them on iPad ro phone too, if asked.
I have reported the game already, so a record of your character in the session can also be confirmed that way as well.
Giovanni Stellaluce |
if i buy a mundane item like a masterwork backpack. does it need documentation of some kind or do i just add it to my character sheet?
GM Fuzzfoot |
You do need to record it, and it is supposed to be under the eye of a GM, either before or after a session. But it doesn't actually need to be on a chronicle or signed off on, so I am not sure why a GM needs to "watch".
The biggest thing is in case someone wants to audit - so keep a paper trail. I have even seen inventory tracking sheets. I just note my purchases on the character sheet like a running log myself.
But if you would like me to add it to your chronicle to keep it simple, I am happy to.
