I'll have to create a new PFS character, but was thinking about a rogue or a cleric since those are not roles I currently have. Maybe a cleric of Desna with Luck domain?

Herman, That is my favorite character: a gnome cleric of Desna with luck and travel (helping her speed) domains. She makes a point of standing behind the Big Guns and gifting them with bits of luck for their attacks (and saves).

Wuliem, Can you actually delete the character? I thought that you were stuck with it now that it has made forum posts.

Interestingly, if everyone had different characters, then we could potentially start the Confirmation before finishing this one, if this one takes longer than the 5th (which seems likely).

I was also hoping to use the Confirmation to bring some of the lower-level characters up a bit, though, so we might just formally start the Confirmation a little late.

I haven't tried yet. But either way, Vincenzo will be a 'new' character.

I haven't really thought about what yet...

So, what would be a good single-file marching order?

Perhaps something like Turan, Hagan, Storn, Wuliem, Herman, Jani, Oz?

Torvic will likely be behind Hagan or so, since he is unarmored.

Scarab Sages

Wuliem is ranged foremost, so 3rd or 4th is good.

I am still deciding on a new character for The Confirmation.

Looking at the Cavalier, but not too sure yet....

Leaning toward halfling Druid?

although i am just starting to play a knight in my homegame (3rd party).

maybe a Paladin or Cav?

I find Cavalier to be mechanical weak. That being said a halfling honor guard with the helpful trait and bodyguard (gained at Cav level 3) is pretty cool...

I struggled with MapTools all last night and this morning - a weird bug that never happened to me before - so it might be later tonight for an update.

I'm still trying to decide which scenario to run after the Confirmation (I still might be able to register it as a Gameday event). Any suggestions? Some possibilities include:

1) The Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment, as an old one that people (mostly) love. I understand it has more role-playing, but I haven't played it.

2) Voice in the Void, a straightforward return to the Blakros Museum!

3) Library of the Lion, which I am playing it now. Very different, puzzle heavy, and rewards Knowledge skills in particular, it seems. But, perhaps no combat, especially if you are careful.

4) The Veteran's Vault, a straightforward return to the sewers!

Ok. This is Wuliem's character for The Confirmation.

I still need to finish and put in his fluff.

Human Paladin for Cheliax faction? That is the archetype for the 'tough role-playing choices' situation. Good luck!

Dark Archive

Male Aasimar Paladin 1 AC 18 HP 12/12 Intit +1 Fort+3 Ref+1 Will+3 Perception +3

I am considering taking the Hell Knight ancestry trait too.
I am thinking that his father was a HellKnight, but he doesn't--exactly--view the whole from that axis, although the lawful portion of it does appeal to him...still working on it though...

So, since there were no strong opinions, I went with #3-21: The Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment as a very highly-rated adventure with a scheduled May 17 start, or 6 weeks after the April 5th start of the gameday. It is apparently fairly dangerous - I'm looking at you, Alex - so we'll have to make sure we don't 'play up' with it.

Dark Archive

Male Aasimar Paladin 1 AC 18 HP 12/12 Intit +1 Fort+3 Ref+1 Will+3 Perception +3

Ok, I think that he is done, although I am strongly considering going Aasimar instead of Human.

Also, I applied the game stuff from Vincenzo to him because I plan on scrapping Vincenzo.

Please take a look Matt. Thanks!

Yeah, I meant to say that after the Confirmation, people would be back to choosing whichever character they wanted to play.

Hmm. It is 20', so you wouldn't be able to merely reach down and grab his arm when he jumps up. It looks like you will need some rope, I'm afraid.

Would this count as her having finished 3 encounters? She still gets some credit if she does that right?

Hi Ozka,

I'm really sorry to see you go. Maybe it was a mistake trying to do seven players in a scenario, giving each character less action (and less room to fit in the rooms), although the bow would be handy for the last encounter. I hope you give it a try again sometime; when it works well it has provided some of the best gaming and role-playing I've seen.

~~ Matt

As for credit, I'm not really sure how that works: while I've heard three encounters has been mentioned for a Chronicle Sheet, I'm not sure about xp, gp, and FP/PP. For counting encounters, at least, I think the front door trap and the pit trap also count, so that should be fine. (Ironically, you have already done the second prestige point condition, which was restoring Lyrehawk's sight.) But, meh.

We could probably just have Ozka's character go back to the temple of Torag to help guard the rescued prisoners.

Between some medical issues with MiniZoog (a croupy cough) and an attack of the blahs on my part, I got off track on posts today. I'll hopefully be able to get back on track tomorrow (Friday) evening.

Looking at the Guide to PFSOP, the PC can receive XP only if they completed at least three encounters. If the traps count as encounters, then she's fine. There's no indication of reducing her gold or PP either, so she would receive a full amount of gold based on what we complete.

Having her stay with the rescued people to guard them might be the best solution IC.

He mini-zoog is ok.

Yeah, we got the the humidifier going, and took him in to the doctor yesterday to make sure it wasn't something more serious. It took both parents and the doctor to get about half an exam done. Despite "Doc McStuffins" on Disney, a toy med kit, and a mother in nursing school, he will have none of a doctor's appointment.

And, oh, hey funny story. I did in fact buy a rope when I bought a Paladin's Kit.

I'm an idiot.

It turns out that I had it in my Inventory Tracking Sheet. STARING ME IN THE FACE. I just hadn't reflected it in Hero Lab when I did the manual transfer from PCGEN.

So as not to break the illusion of RP, I'll act out the rest of the adventure as if I don't have one.

I might still but a silk rope, though, after the adventure concludes. A grappling hook is also probably a good idea.

Is the stun for 1 round only, Zoog?

Ah, yes, sorry: The stun is only one round, on a failed save. I didn't want to say so initially, since you wouldn't know right away, but then I should have said that you aren't still stunned when the next round came about.

(If you're curious, it was a SLA-version of the spell Sound Burst.)

Going into Round 5, this may be our longest combat ever.

Although, I've heard that the BBEG on this one has gone into 19 rounds (hopefully not in PbP mode!).

Yeah, that seems to be most of the idea about early encounters, that they make people expend resources before the Big Show.

It is kind of odd with this one, and the last may not be a big deal or it could be, which I'll explain after the fact.
