Heya guys.
Farg is currently tied up in another scenario (and will hit level 3 once it's concluded) and I have another level 1 in a super slow game which likely won't conclude soon, so I'd likely build a new char for this but then prolly use the PFS number from the level 1 tied up in the other game. Not quite sure what to play however. How soon are you looking to get going Zoog? I could get my char done by the weekend for sure.
Been thinking about an Archer wood oracle or maybe a Dwarven Ranger.
Hagan Silverseer |
Hey, guys, checking in as well. I need a couple days to make sure Hagan's all squared away lootwise. I need to transfer him over to Hero Lab, and the shopping can take a little bit. But I should be squared away by Saturday at the latest, I think.
GM FurtiveZoog |
Hi all, we are going to go into this one with a group of seven, so I hope that is OK with everyone. While, it can be a pain around a real table, it should be fine here, with just a bit more work for yours truly. It will also take a little longer to resolve some things, but I am going to try not to hurry, anyway.
The extra person is Storn's sister and wife. :-P (Real Storn's wife, character Storn's sister.) So, should be fun!
BTW, the weekend should be good, since I am still working on some maps and such, having decided to do it just a day or so before PMing everyone.

Combined items: alchemist's fire/acid flask 5/5 cost 45 gp.
Wuliem can use his toy finally without fear of failure!
Aura faint transmutation; CL 3rd; Weight 2 lbs.
Slot none; Price 200 gp
DESCRIPTION
This two-spouted funnel is used to safely mix two alchemical splash weapons into a single flask. Using the vial requires 10 minutes and a DC 25 Craft (alchemy) check; a half-elf has a +5 bonus on this check. Failing the check means both splash weapon are destroyed. Success means the two materials are safely mixed into one vial that is the same volume as a normal splash weapon vial; when thrown as a splash weapon, the mixture has the effects of both component substances and creatures are affected as if hit by both. The mixture becomes inert after 24 hours. Only liquids may be mixed with the funnel. The bearer can use it to mix an alchemical splash weapon with either holy water or unholy water, but the Craft (alchemy) DC increases to 30; half-elves still get the +5 bonus on this check. The funnel does not work on potions, elixirs, extracts, or other materials. Mixing a substance with a similar or identical substance (such as alchemist's fire with alchemist's fire) has no effect. A mixture cannot be combined with another mixture.
CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS
Craft Wondrous Item, fabricate or combine extracts discovery; Cost 100 gp

Not sure if you saw that the 2nd PbP gameday kicks off in April. Likely not this game, but maybe the next one?
GM FurtiveZoog |
Yeah, Herman, I just heard it was set for April 5th. Perhaps we could get this one done by then, and maybe some of the other campaigns we are all in, so that we can start the next round in a little over a month. We'll see. (I just realized it was March 5th! I hadn't actually realized we had gone into March! Well, the life of a stay-at-home dad with a toddler...)
I had been thinking about a run or two of The Confirmation, a tier 1-2 scenario meant to be a character's first scenario or, at least, one early in their career. If so, we could try to do this group with the 1st and 2nd levels and/or some new first levels if you have some you would like to try out. Just a thought - I'm always interested in suggestions. (I'm am still thinking about a module, too...)
One problem with the online gameday is the uncertainty of the registration process. I wouldn't actually mind a new and fairly random group of people except that I would like to continue with this group, of course.
Edit: It looks like they have really turned the recruitment over to us, so it shouldn't be a problem getting the groups together as we like them.

I am up for anything.
Although, I have 3 PbP games that have went silent.
There hasn't been any posting since December.
Anyone know how I can erase them from my screen so as not to have to look at them every time I look for posts?
Jani Lee Two-spirit |
The GM would have to make them inactive. Are these PFS games or just general games? Are the players still interested in going forward? In one of my other PbPs, we lost the GM, and posted in the recruitment forum and successfully recruited a new one.
Ozka |
Howdy folks! I'm Storn's RL wife playing Storn's IC sister. It's only weird if you think about it too much.
Still pretty new at this! What I lack in experience, I make up for in exclamation marks! And I totally know how to use a semicolon!
GM FurtiveZoog |
Yes, welcome!
I feel like I am pretty new at this; even though I have been playing PFS online for about nine months, I've only GMed a total of eight games on here, and five of them with some of the people in this group. (Seems like more, doesn't it?)
Although I wish I had a chance to get a face-to-face game in now and then, I've really come to appreciate what great role-playing opportunities and variety of players are available here on the boards.
Hagan Silverseer |
Welcome, Ozka. I hope we live up to your expectations and you have a lot of fun.
Jani Lee Two-spirit |
Hello Ozka and Turan. Just so you know, Jani here is an androgynous tiefling, lacking distinct gender due to the chaotic influence of the abyss. They use plural pronouns, both for this reason and for the reason of believing they actually have two souls, one male and one female, inhabiting their body.
A bit of the backstory I came up with for Jani: their mother was a crusader in Mendev who came from Qadira, a paladin of Sarenrae, who became pregnant while enjoying some relaxation away from the front lines. She wasn't certain about the identity of the father, as she subscribed to the idea that risking her life against the demons daily entitled her to a reasonable amount of hedonistic pleasure when away from the fighting, and she must have missed a dose or two of her night tea. A priest determined she was pregnant, and with fraternal twins, male and female, using divination magic. She continued to fight the demons until her pregnancy began to hamper her, then returned to Qadira to finish her pregnancy among her family.
The midwives asked her several times if she was sure the magic had revealed twins, because she wasn't getting as large as most other twin-carrying mothers. Sure enough, when she gave birth, only a single child was born, with no clear gender. Examination of the child suggested that Abyssal influence had caused changes in the fetus while in the paladin's womb, and while she cursed her own foolishness for allowing this to happen, she refused to allow the child to suffer as a result of her mistake. Wise elders of their people suggested that perhaps the twins had merged while in utero, and so Jani Lee was given the sobriquet 'Two-spirit' by her family.
(This is actually a thing that happens in real life, called mosaic chimerism.)
Hagan Silverseer |
Jani, seriously, I just love your background. I'm going to steal it for an NPC in my Council of Thieves game.
GM, I had a very busy weekend, but I promise to have Hagan's character sheet complete by tonight.
Hagan Silverseer |
Here's my shopping finally. I'm really, really sorry I wasn't able to post it sooner.
Bought
Splint Mail, Masterwork, 350gp
Sold
Scale Mail, 25gp
My character sheet has been adjusted accordingly. And I'm an even bigger idiot than I thought, because it turns out I had already updated Hero Lab, I just hadn't copied my changes to my online Character Sheet.
Again, Sorry.
My AC goes up to 17.
GM FurtiveZoog |
So, as I mentioned, I was kind of thinking about doing one, or maybe even two, runs of The Confirmation for the gameday (April 5-July 5), although it seems like there are a fair number of runs being planned already by other people.
Another problem is that it can be run only at Tier 1-2, playable any number of times with first level characters and once at second level. This would leave the 3rd level people in the lurch unless they want to try a 1st or 2nd level character in one, as Jani is thinking of doing. How many other people might have 1st or 2nd level characters they might want to run through it?
Turan the Wanderer |
On first sight it seemed really nice to me as well after trying to build one I found it really hard to make it work in combat however. And that for me personally is a no go...
Hagan Silverseer |
Up to what point do you lock in a character? I have a magus I'm considering modifying.
GM FurtiveZoog |
OK, I registered for the Gameday for this group of people to run The Confirmation, potentially starting on April 5th - hopefully that is doable if we go at a fair rate through this one.
I think I'll also register for another regular scenario beginning at about the 6 week point, which would allow each scenario 6 weeks to complete. I am being typically indecisive about which scenario to run as the second, one though. I/We have about 10 days to decide on one.
Perhaps we'll try a module after that.
