Amira Ravenheart |
Well that was a bore. Also were did that thing come from? Amira seems unphased by the undead creature's appearance. Is she alright Harrold?
Herm Dunlaven |
Herm puts his axe away and leans the hammer against the wall by the door, with in easy reach.
"Ms. Lorrimor, lets get you inside before something else comes out of the night."
Herm will help Harrold move Kendra into the house, waiting for the other ladies to enter as well, he will retrieve his hammer as well before closing and locking the door.
Herm Dunlaven |
Herm will interpose himself between Kendra and the door, holding up his hand and speaking softly.
"Ms. Lorrimor allow me to go first in case something else is out there, also if it is the body of your father do you really wish to see it?"
After asking his question Herm will open the door and walk out slowly, again looking around detecting for undead presence.
perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Amira Ravenheart |
This should at least be proof enough that he had nothing to do with necromancy Amira comment's briefly smiling, one of us should stay with Kendra, i opt to... i should avoid grave sites and priests with how the townfolk think of me
Herm Dunlaven |
Herm will head outside with Kendra, hammer strapped to his back and axe in hand.
"Stay behind me Mrs. Lorrimor, I will approach the body and secure it before you come over."
Herm will move to the corpse and slowly rolling it over, he will put his hands on the shoulder of the corpse to keep it still incase it isn't true dead again.
Talking over his shoulder
"Harrold please watch for anything else that may approach"
Tamara Hart |
Who did the Zombie smash earlier?
Tamara's face grows ashen when Kendra reveals the identity of the zombie. "This is horrible. How can he come back to haunt us as undead? Who did this? I'm not sure I'm comfortable putting him back in the Restlands if this is what happens with people who go there. But I don't really see any other option either. After what happened last time with Father Grimburrow, I don't really want to talk to him again, but I guess we have to."
Kendra Lorrimor __ |
"These are true words. Now who is going to talk to Father Grimburrow? Shall I go or will some or all of you get him here?" Kendra asks impatiently. She is really unhappy with the situation and wants it fixed.
The zombie only smashed at the door before the group intervened.
Herm Dunlaven |
Herm will ask either Amira or Tamara to grab a cloth to wrap the professors body in.
Once he has completed that he will move the body to the shed, laying it down carefully and respectfully.
"Do you own a spade? I will dig a place of honor for your father here, since apparently the Riverlands has send him back to you."
Father Grimburrow __ |
Suddenly Father Grimburrow is broad awake. "Stop dragging me. You stopped the professor, didn't you? I need to be prepared." He runs back inside and shouts a few commands. A minute later he reappears with his vestment over the pajamas and some shoes on his feet. He also has a bag with several bottles of holy water with him.
"Now we can go." he tells as two of his acolytes appear in the door. They follow Harrold to the house of Kendra.
Looking at the scene he approaches Kendra "Are you alright, my girl?" he asks and puts his arm around her shoulder.
Kendra Lorrimor __ |
"Bury him here?" Kendra replies aghast to Herms suggestion.
As Father Grimburrow arrives and approaches her she bursts into tears. "This is so horrible. My Father, here. Out of his grave. What shall we do if even the eternal rest in the Restlands is not sure anymore..."
She stammers even more but it becomes unintelligible under her tears.
Father Grimburrow __ |
"I will bring these things back to their natural order. Pharasma guide us." he tries to console her. As she finally calms down enough he turns to the others.
"Would you come along? I have to secure the Restlands that no other dead are animated there. But if more undead already walk the streets they need to be stopped also. Please take care of that and tell the Sheriff to help with that."
To the acolytes he adds "Come and bring the body." Then he leaves with a fast pace through town and towards the Restlands.
Herm Dunlaven |
Herm will gather up his hammer and axe, securing his armor. Turning to Kendra.
"May I leave my pack here Ms. Lorrimor? I haven't a need for it right now and it will slow me down a bit."
He will grab out his rope and wrap it around himself, hefting his hammer into his hands and following the Priests out.
Kendra Lorrimor __ |
"It's alright. I'm safe here and there might be people in the village that really need help. I just didn't want to close the door on you if someone doesn't want to join in helping with the search for undead." Kendra replies.
Herm Dunlaven |
"Ms. Lorrimor have no lights on and get into a room that is secure and you should be fine. If they are being controlled it may not be safe to stay here because they may be targeting you."
Herm will nod to Harrold then jog off after the clergy carrying the body.
Amira Ravenheart |
I have a bad feeling about all of this, something in the pit of my stomach. This all feels so wrong, Kendra lock your door's and be careful alright...We need to go, before something happens
