Grergof asks as he swings at the two creatures near him:

Heavy Flail - Power Attack + Furious Focus - Entangled: 1d20 + 13 - 2 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 13 - 2 + 2 - 2 = 16
Damage + Power Attack: 1d10 + 6 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 6 = 22
Heavy Flail - Power Attack - Entangled: 1d20 + 8 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 8 - 2 - 2 = 6
Damage + Power Attack: 1d10 + 6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 6 = 13

Grergof lands a heavy hit on one of the two creatures. Which makes them think again. They withdraw and hide in the trees.

Stam will rush over drawing his dagger to help Grergof get free.

Cutting loose the webs is no big deal. Stam cuts them off.

Spugnoir moves so he is out of claw range of the maggot.

Spugnoir carefully cuts the threads he is entangled and tied to the maggot with and sneaks off.

Unhappy to be left alone but feeling there is something afoul the maggot claws at spugnoir as he leaves as it has tremorsense.
Claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 211d8 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
And DC 19 fort vs paralsed

Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 Feh

Darius grabs the last floating sword and hurls it at the maggot woman.

"Die you horrid creature!"

Ranged attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 YAY!!
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 Oh for f*** sakes

Darius hits the creature with his summoned weapon but does only minor damage. But it's enough to get the maggot's attention.

The claw misses Spugnoir by hair's width.

Darius hacks at the web that hit him with an overhand chop.

Which cuts deep but doesn't quite make it through.

Spugnoir makes sure he is far enough away from the maggot to not get clawed and hucks a frost bomb at it, adjusting so that Darius is not harmed.

Grergof hits the maggot hard making him the next target for its hunger.

Stam rushes in behind Grergof, letting his magic build up within him, Stam shouts "невидимый!" and disappears from sight.

Continuing his movement up to Darius Stam will begin to cut the binding on the man.

Darius is drawn slowly towards the creature, he scowls and whispers to himself "C'mon you ugly..."

And strikes at the maggot woman with his magical longsword!

The maggot is hit again. The tension leaves it's body and like a sack it slumps down and slowly slides back into the hole it came from. Dragging Darius with it.

Blast it! Grab him!

"OO CRAAAAHHHH..."

Darius says cutting at the webs holding him.

Stam still invisible drops his staff and grabs at Darius, a lone hand slides out from the sphere to grab Darius.

Reflex save?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Darius cuts the webs and Stam grabs him at the last moment before he would fall in due to being over the tipping point. After all the hacking and slashing silence arises and you mostly hear your own panting as adrenaline rush slowly fades.

The creepy few of large cocoons hanging from the ceiling is intensified by the goo that came out the maggot and the worse smell it creates.

Stam stands up and looks around, "I guess I have to wait for the spell to wear off to find my staff now."

Stam lays down on the ground and drinks from his Water Skin.

"What in the nine hells was that thing?"

"It looks like a bug? Sort of like a maggot at first? Does anyone have any wine?" Stam gets up and looks for his staff, having to wait what feels like forever before he finds it.

"We should have bought some wine" Stam moves to the edge to look down the hole the beast came up from. Picking up a stone and casting light on it, Stam will drop it down.

May I suggest we check what is in the cocoons?

He puts away his flail and draws forth his scimitar and approaches one of the hanging pods. If he gets close with no sign of danger he will cut one down so the group can examine what is inside it.

I just realized I missed the damage on the last hit... So

Grergof closes his eyes and refreshes himself before taking down one of the cocoons.

Grergof cuts the webbing strand that holds one of the cocoons. Grergof has to jump aside to not be buried under it as it topples over. It breaks open as it hits the ground and you find a dead horse.

A horse of course. Anyone need healing?

"We should cut these all down. No telling that there's a chance someone may yet be left alive." The Darius cuts another one down.

Darius steps closer to one of the things to cut it down. On second thought he decides that cutting the things open is probably easier for him, and easier on the neck of someone who would be still alive. Judging by how distorted the horse looks after the fall.

So he cuts them open, one after another. The cocoons contain the bodies of several dead humanoids. Some are mere skeletons with skin, but one still is recognizable. A human man in precious clothing.

Grergof helps Darius get all the bodies out of the cocoons.

Mr. Truthfinder, do you want to check these for magic? We should also consider burying then people.. He says as he lays out the man in fancy clothing.

Then he moves over to look to see what the light revealed down the hole.

Stam will walk over, allowing his magic to infuse his eyes with the ability to detect magical aura's

There is nothing magic on the corpses. When laying out the man you notice a blood smeared letter in one of his pockets. Looking down the hole you notice some reflection of what might be coins. It is rather large down there, but it also is filled at least half with that ugly stinking creature.

I would rather avoid trying to drag this thing out..Hmm..I could vomit a bug swarm onto it to eat the corpse.

Darius wrinkles his nose and looks sideways at Spugnoir.

"Spugs, you can be so gross sometimes."

Hey, there is a letter here!. He picks up the letter and tries to read it.

Grergof breaks the seal of the envelope and tries to read the letter. Wich is hard to do with all the blood and the damage done to it in the fight that cost the man his life. But with some common sense it is possible to conclude that it is an invitation for some Echtmoor Dravin into Ascanor Lodge.

Spugnoir looks at the letter. I guess this could, although it looks like for just one person.

"So someone poses as this man and we go in undercover? That got a lot of people in Cheliax killed who thought they could bring down house Thrune." Stam looks the letter over.
