Sorry, my gather info was to try to find out where I might find some green wood to help with Ling's plan.

Strange Aeons - Map | Darkmoon Vale - Droskar's Crucible Level 1 | Droskar's Crucible Level 2

Luthic spends some time seeking out fresh green wood, but while he was able to locate someone willing to point him in the right direction he was not quite able to locate exactly for what he was looking.

Ling attempts to climb to the roof of the inn, but has a very difficult time in doing so.

The Dude approaches the bartender and seems to strike up some rapport with the man. He slides over towards Kennick and The Dude. "What you boys drinking?" Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have garnered enough to dig deeper into the meeting.

Viisiky offers up to cover someone in grease (instead of lotion) and they stare at her in horror before running away from the strange half-orc as quickly as their feet can carry them! LOL! Poor Viisiky...

Okay, as I mentioned previously... Since two PCs succeeded you can each make another attempt at a DC 13 skill check. Please make sure to indicate which skill you are using and as long as you beat the DC of 13, free feel to roleplay out your success a little!

Ling is completely frustrated by his inability to climb a simple building. Worse, he got into a patch of poison ivy he THOUGHT would make perfect hand holds and realized it too late. It was going to be a long week. He grumbles mightily and looks around for an easier way of getting up, looking enviously at the folks entering and leaving the cushy inn. He slips around the side of the building looking for a quiet place and removes his armor leaving a lanky but muscular form and some overly well padded armor laying on the ground, though he still wears his helmet. Then he gives it his best try!

Strange Aeons - Map | Darkmoon Vale - Droskar's Crucible Level 1 | Droskar's Crucible Level 2

Hey all, sorry about the continued delays. Had somethings come up recently that really needed my undivided attention. Lets get this wagon rolling again.

The group begins to get their plan of action in working order. With The Dude's help, Kennick begins chatting up with the bartender. "Strange characters around here?"' He glances directly at Kennick and The Dude. "The two o' are two that stand out. And that odd half-orc over yonder working on that fisherman's toes..." You each notice him glance briefly at another man seated by himself, who seems to be watching the front door of the establishment with great interest.

Ling and Luthic begin to set up their plan to smoke out the bar and things quickly begin to work quiet well for the duo. As Ling begins stacking the wood for his fire, Luthic spots a very imperious looking woman walking through the streets toward the Oyster, looking very much out of place...

The Dude, Kennick, and Viisiky suddenly notice the very same woman enter the tavern. The man seated by himself suddenly seems to sit a little straighter in his seat when he spots her as well.

Okay, you guys just made it through the first round! We are now in Step 2, Enact your plan with a DC of 15.

Ling, just to confirm... but you did want to set the stuff on fire, correct?

Just as the woman is about to make it to the table, The Dude and Kennick saddle up to her. She sneers at the two men in disdain, but cannot quite seem to make it around as The Dude keeps slipping into her path.

Meanwhile, Luthic begins cursing at a three-legged dog that passed in front of him, looking very much like a drunken fool... This is of course to mask the raucous Ling makes as he shoves a bunch of burning, green wood into the chimney of the Oyster.

"Fools, begone from my sight or I will make you wish you have never been born." The woman mutters at Kennick and The Dude. You both hear the sound of a chair being pushed away from a table and the woman smiles as she looks over your shoulders. Behind you, the man suddenly stands and seems poised to intervene on the lady's behalf.... however....

"SMOKE! FIRE!" Ling's plan seems to have worked as thick, grey smoke suddenly begins to billow out of the chimney into the main room of the Oyster! Patrons begin to cough and gasp and the entire room suddenly turns into a stampede!

Okay, everyone inside is getting pushed towards the entrance by the mass of people seeking to escape. This is your last skill check with a DC of 17. For everyone I'd like to see some physical skills applied in this situation to escape the situation without becoming noticed too much by others around. For example, Stealth to blend into the stampeding crowd, or Acrobatics to move through them quickly, CMB to shove your way out the door, Swim to dive into the waters, Ride to suddenly jump onto a passing donkey, etc.

That's three successes, so I'm going to go ahead and push forward instead of waiting on Luthic since his skill check will not really change anything.

The Dude is able to slip through the crowd with ease, making his way towards the exit just as the mob begins to pour through, at which point Ling suddenly leaps up to the peak of the doorway. Kennick is able to push and shove his way through the crowd and also just happens to find the woman they believe may be the agent, begins shoving her roughly out the door. Once outside she takes a quick look around, apparently not finding what she's looking for, and abruptly storms away with a furious look upon her face.... Poor Viisiky eventually makes her way out, looking a little worse for wear, but unharmed.

After a long day, the group retires back to the Sixwing Drake to wait for further word from Delroya. The exhausted group of Pathfinders head to sleep and wake the next day.

Around noon on Fireday, Captain Zendrani calls a meeting on the deck of the Sixwing Drake. “An urchin boy delivered this note just a few minutes ago. I tried to keep him here so we could talk to him, but he slipped away without a word and ran off into the city. I haven’t looked at the note—but it seems to be from Delroya.” The captain hands over the note.

See the updated Handouts link at the top of the page. Going to assume you go directly to the requested area...

A large warehouse looms into view at the end of Gull Street. Its main level sits at the edge of the street above a ten-foot drop to the harbor’s waters below. A door in the western wall of the warehouse opens, and a woman clad in simple leather armor steps out. Her features display a blend of Taldan and Mwangi heritages, and her crisp accent is difficult to place. “I am Magali Delroya. You must come quickly, Pathfinders. We do not wish to be seen.” Delroya moves briskly, waving off protests or interruptions, and speaks with the rhythm of her steps. “Questions later. Much is at stake. First you must listen.” Her outward display of authority does not entirely mask her fear.

The small room through the warehouse’s western door features a round table and several chairs. “This room is for the guards. They are all too busy dealing with our disruptions, so no one is here for now. That door leads to the docks below,” she says, indicating a door in the southern wall. “Come this way. I will show you the warehouse.” She opens a door in the northern wall, revealing a cavernous storage room. Haphazard stacks of barrels and crates almost reach the ceiling twenty feet above. Two large skylights in the ceiling provide ample light during the day, and a dozen unlit lanterns are spaced around the room. To the east, a wide opening in the southern wall looks out over the loading bay ten feet below. A freight elevator platform rigged to a complex set of pulleys and ropes and a staircase both lead down to the loading bay.

“As you can see, the Aspis Consortium maintains a sizable operation out of this warehouse, which they rent from the Kortos Consortium’s Locosta family in exchange for alchemical goods. After tonight, I hope that the relationship between Aspis and
Kortos will be irreparably damaged.

“We may have delayed the shipment, but my sources tell me that both the Kortos and Aspis consortia are likely to investigate the warehouse later tonight. I had hoped for more time, but I will not able to move the goods until after midnight. I need your help in holding off the agents until everything is in order. They are not likely to work together, so you should prepare for multiple groups of agents. While I have no qualms about fighting the Aspis agents, if possible we should avoid further antagonizing the Kortos Consortium. Their agents may be willing to look the other way.”

“Because the agents are on high alert, you should stay at the warehouse until they arrive. We wouldn’t want anyone spotted or attacked out in the city before we’re ready. That gives you several hours to prepare. Most of the items in the warehouse are simple trade goods designed to make this outfit look legitimate. You may want to take some time to look around, though—you never know what the Aspis Consortium might have stowed away here.”

“I can stay here briefly, if you have questions or need assistance.”

Is our defense of the warehouse legal?:
“By now you should know that the Aspis Consortium is breaking Diobel’s laws. What we’re doing here is not exactly legal, either, in the views of the Kortos Consortium. I am hoping that we can get through this without drawing their ire, but as a last resort, you can use this document. It should eliminate any questions as to the legality of your actions. If you can avoid having to use it, I would be grateful, but do not hesitate to present it if necessary.” See Handout #4

Why can’t we destroy the warehouse and/or the drug shipment?:
[b]“The warehouse and many of the goods inside it belong to the Kortos Consortium, not the Aspis Consortium. We do not want to make them our enemies, if possible. As for the drugs, they are mixed in with a large number of goods that belong to the Kortos Consortium. It would take days to sort through all these crates— something I intend to do later, once they’re moved to a secure location. But there’s no time now. As for destroying the shipment, that’s out of the question. The drug is far too unpredictable. There’s no telling what effect it might have if we burn it or dump it in the harbor. No, we must deal with it later, in a way that puts no one in harm’s way.”

What are your plans for the drugs/goods?:
“Once I’ve moved the shipment to a safe location, I will have time to sort everything out. The drugs will be disposed of safely, and I will return the Kortos Consortium’s goods along with evidence of the Aspis Consortium’s wrongdoings. That should sufficiently damage their relationship and the reputation of the Aspis Consortium in Diobel. Some of the other goods belong to the Aspis Consortium, and I’ll make sure the Pathfinder Society gets its fair share as payment for your help.”

What can you tell us about yourself?:
“I am a wanderer. I call no place my home, and no one my family. I thought that meant that the Aspis Consortium was a good fit, but I was wrong. They have no respect for anyone but themselves.”

Will you join the Pathfinder Society when this is done?:
Delroya looks thoughtful. “You are presumptuous, aren’t you? I will say only this: when our work is done, I expect to meet with your venture-captain to settle up my payment. After our meeting, I do not know where I will go, but your actions in Diobel have certainly given me much to think about.”

The Dude leans on some boxes, and commiserates with Tyranthraxis about how hard it is to find good help nowadays.

"Hey man, do you smoke? Here take a drag on this man, it'll take the edge off."

"Smoke? I am made of smoke, thanks to my pathetic wretch of an apprentice! But that will all be remedied soon, and then I will look for much more capable help!"

As the group searches for anything useful inside the warehouse to use for sealing up the place... they quickly find the following items... Two disguise kits, a hungry fighting dog that growls at you from within a locked cage (the key is nearby), carpentry supplies and masterwork carpentry tools, a potion of invisibility, and a large glass cage that appears to be soundproof with a mushroom inside (Know: Dungeoneering or Nature DC 15 to identify). Also, you discover that the loading platform is locked and it cannot be raised or lowered, but you can unlock it with a Disable Device check DC 20.

Anyone that succeeds at a DC 20 Handle Animal check and spends three hours with the dog can befriend it. It will know the Attack, Down, and Stay tricks.

The group gets to work pushing crates around and sealing up most of the entrances and exits. Just FYI, Taking 10 won't work on these crates... you need a DC 20 Strength check (which I think is excessive); however, since you've got plenty of time I'm basically just giving it to you all. You have pretty much sealed up whatever entrances and exits you can locate. Anyone want to have a go with the doggie?

Not wanting to look like he's not working, the Dude wanders the warehouse way from the others and comes upon a huge, vicious guard dog.

"Hey. Nice marmot."

Completely untrained, he attempts to befriend the savage brute, one wild beast to another.

Who's a good doggie?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
