"Well, it seems we are to advance after all. Shall we retire for the night so we may prepare for the morrow?"

Tomas raises his Tankard in salute to the retiring Halflings, draining the last of his ale in thoughtful silence. Debating internally as to whether to have another he decides to hold off until the Tournament is over. Pushing himself from the tablr, he takes an invite for himself and another for their Wayang companion.

"Well friends, Fate shines upon us even as it abandons our allies. I say we win this damned thing in honour of our fallen friends, I shall inform our sleeping comrade. I think rest is in order, our strategies seem to work fine right now."

With that, the Warrior Priest takes his leave from the bar and heads to his room, taking time to wake Nivi and inform her of the current state of affairs and to give her their invitation.

Eladrian cries out in surprise as the darts bury themselves in his skin. The burning lasts but a moment, though as his body fights off the poison, leaving the clean pain of a normal wound. He sets a scowl of dire portent upon his face as he hefts the warhammer leaning over his shoulder.

If Brother Theo will 5' step after his action, I will 5' step and attack the assassin in his door, otherwise, I will wait until back up gets there, and will worry about the ones behind the ice. Speaking of which, how will we dismiss/break through that? I didn't want to dispel it and waste Popol's attempt to help, but it also prevents us from getting in..

Staying in the doorway doesn't help the melee fighters.

Tomas looks down the corridor to see one room blocked with Ice and the other with Theo in it. Shaking his head at the cleric he turns to the little White Alchemist and indicates the door behind them.

"Get that door open and we will get the guards. This is in hand here."

Using his Flexible training to become more nimble, he readies himself to dart out the door and call dor the guards who were quick to come in their last bar fight.

Move action to use martial flexibility for Dodge and then ready to move out the back door when it is open

Seeing that her friends are quite capable of defending themselves, Nivi will open the door at the nearest opportunity and shout for the authorities.

"Guards! Guards! They are trying to kill us!"
Maybe we should refrain from dealing lethal damage to them if we can get the guards to take them? Non-lethal seems fine.

I've seen someone dress as a Qadiran before to stir up trouble, so this time I'm prepped for it!

Galmar mixes and launches his bombs, taking care to avoid splashing any fire on his friends.

I guess we gather near the entrance and Brother Theo can cast Dispel Magic on the Wall of Ice, unless you have it prepped Popol.

As stated, Tomas has left and will then go looking for the Guards, with Nivi of she comes along. No room in the corridor with people stood in doorways.

"I am getting the authorities, next time try keeping our assailants alive for questioning?"

If you have any other ways to keep them alive but not a threat, that would be great (if they break the ice wall).

Nivi runs and shouts for the authorities until they arrive. I expect that assassins will flee after failing so thoroughly.

Brother Theo's spell reveals no more foul assassins.

Brother Theo's armor continues to protect him against the assassins' dull knives... he begins clobbering one, while Eladrian fills the doorway and slaughters the other.

The final remaining assassin, seeing his escape bared and his surrender demanded... drives his blade under his chin killing himself instantly.

Upon investigating the bodies... the party finds magical loot including +1 cloaks of resistance and 4 portions of invisibility.

Brother Theo in his searches finds a strange coin... its face is marked with. Coiled up Asp... and its tail carved with the letters P.O.D.

Returning with the Guard and his allies, the Warpriest looks at the coin found upon the Assassin's person. "Accursed snakes!" he curses at the discovery, before he can say anymore there is a noise outside and the door bursts open.

Tomas starts as the Tengu burst through the door, his fists clenched and his eyes fierce. Bastard Carrion, no doubt they look for easy pickings after such a pathetic attempt at assassination. he thinks to himself sourly as he reads the Tengu's body language to gain an insight ot their purpose.

"Well?" is all he says.

The first rays of light creep into the inn’s window, accompanied by a loud knocking at the door. Someone in the hall screeches, “The sun is up! Time to gather your tickets and head to The Opera!”

Arriving at the opera, you are greeted by a trio of actors dressed in the garb and makeup of a traditional opera from Lung Wa. They seat you in the first few rows. Looking around you see a few others also in attendance. Strangely, there are no sets and the unlit stage is empty except for three plain wooden chairs. Then Kiang Zhen strides onto the stage and addresses the audience.

“Today I am treating myself to a display of opera, which all of you shall perform for me! Backstage, you shall find traditional costumes that will determine the roles you will portray. You may choose these roles yourself, but be forewarned - you must act within the limits of your role. Your objective is to perform an epic combat against a rival group. However, there must be no bloodshed. Any shows of lethal force will result in your immediate disqualification from the event. The troupe able to force its opponents to yield is the victor. Now go and prepare yourselves for the evening’s performance. It starts in 10 minutes!”
