It seems the consensus will be to free it. I'll assume Eramay opens the latches. Now here is the interesting part. Eramay, you have right of refusal. Do you wish to continue the rest of the adventure as this creature, the Aaog-Shagga? If Eramay does not want to, does anyone else? Your present character will cease and you will control this magnificent creature in its quest for revenge. (Picture is up on the combat map to aid your choice)

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Brain Collection (Ex) Aaog-Shagga can store up to seven humanoid brains and use them to enhance its knowledge and power. Each stored brain grants it a cumulative +1 insight bonus to AC, concentration checks, and Knowledge checks. Aaog-Shagga can extract a brain from a helpless opponent with a coup de grace attack, or as a standard action from a body that has been dead for no more than 1 minute. If Aaog-Shagga has fewer than seven brains, it gains 1 negative level for each missing brain. Currently it has five brains and 2 negative levels. Due to the extensive damage to its body from ongoing experiments, Aaog-Shagga can only benefit from consuming the best brains (those from a creature with 5 or more Hit Dice, such as one of the PCs). If it consumes such a brain, it gains the ability to cast 3rd-level spells (it knows dispel magic and slow and has 4 slots per day) and increases its caster level by 1; increases its insight bonus to AC by 1; increases its bonus on concentration and Knowledge checks by 2; and increases all of its attack rolls, ability checks, skill checks, and saving throws by 1. He also gains 5 more maximum and current hit points. Aaog-Shagga can only consume one brain in this way; its last slot is reserved for the brain of Kar-Zaweeb.
Poison (Ex) Bite—injury; save Fort DC 18; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d2 Str; cure 1 save.
Strange Knowledge All Knowledge skills are class skills for Aaog-Shagga.

Aaog-Shagga is a neh-thalggu, a powerful alien entity more commonly known as a brain collector. It spent several years curating brains brought to it by a zealous cult of Night Heralds in the port city of Augustana before adventurers raided its residence and killed the cultists. Rather than slaying the aberration, the adventurers subdued it and dragged it to this facility. Here, Aaog-Shagga has suffered under the scalpel of the mutant researcher Kar Zaweeb, who has systematically removed and replaced the brains stored in the neh-thalggu’s body in search of some grand discovery. The brain collector has avoided telling the researcher of the terrible cosmic truths of its homeworld, knowing that the delight of watching his paltry mind go insane from these revelations would only prevent Aaog-Shagga from escaping sooner and rejoining the Dominion of the Black.

Under usual circumstances, Aaog-Shagga would tear apart a band of adventurers sent by the Aspis Consortium. The reason it stays its claws is because it hopes to destroy Kar Zaweeb utterly and consume his brain before fleeing this foul laboratory. No doubt the brain collector has employed even more alien logic to rationalize why it should not kill its new companions.

Eramay unlatches the final latch to the tank and opens the door slowly. Without pause, a pincer emerges and impales Eramay through the throat.

From inside the tank, a commanding voice speaks out. "Do not fear, my new friends, she only suffered for a moment. It was a necessary misfortune, I am afraid. You will find me a far more worthy associate than she ever was."

The creature arises and shakes a few fibrous strands of stray plant material from its carapace. It looks around at all of you and finally turns to Eramay and bares its fangs. With intricate deftness, it dismembers her arms and legs as you watch in horror, devouring the pieces whole. Cracking open her skull like a nut with its pincer, it empties her brain into its maw and carefully swallows it whole, savoring the experience. When the grisly scene is complete, it slinks from the tank and onto the floor.

"Let us go. We have much to accomplish. Fear me not, if I were to devour another one of you, I would not have space left to consume Kar Zaweeb. Consider yourselves safe by nature of association, for the time being."

Almost on cue, a new siren and series of flashing lights spring to life, echoing through the chambers and labs.

"I do not know." The creature rotates its vile tongue in its mouth, searching for the last eaten brain. "And neither did... Er'may? Was that her name?"

OK, enough fun for me, the creature is all yours, Eramay.

Despite the lack of directions, from the rooms that you have searched already it quickly becomes apparent which direction to travel. As you open another blast door, the sounds of tortured screams ahead become readily apparent.

If you cast a short-term buff as a result of this description, let me know. Otherwise place yourself near the doorway.

You enter the room from the east. The doors to the west and southeast are both shut. The southwest doors are open.

Dozens of conduits and tubes run up and down the walls of this lab, connecting a trio of beds to a trio of large glass vats to the west. Within the vats undulate formless blobs of organic matter that briefly grow arms, pseudopods, and faces before those features melt back into the roiling masses. An unconscious humanoid lies strapped to each bed with heavy leather restraints ratcheted tightly closed, which the sleeping forms strain against wildly as they scream madly at phantasmal terrors.

I didn't remember this from before, but reading the character sheet now, consuming Eramay's brain increases Aaog-Shagga's AC, caster level, attack rolls, ability checks, skill checks and saving throws by +1, his HP by +5, and his concentration and Knowledge checks by +2.

I factored all of these increases into my statblock.

Oh, aaannd... Would Aaog-Shagga have any of Eramay's memories? Like a certain code phrase?

Aaog-Shagga crawls on the floor with an unnerving clickity-clack of his many legs, sometimes moving backwards and sideways at equal speeds. Slower than even a halfling, the Neh-Thalggu utilizes supernatural flight to catch up with the much faster party, but his decisions on when to do so seem erratic.

Upon hearing the tortured screams, Aaog-Shagga clicks its pincers together in anticipation. "Reminds this one of home."

Aaog-Shagga will cast Shield before entering the room.

When the doors open, Aaog-Shagga scuttles in without hesitation. A trickle of drool marks his path over the otherwise clean floor. Once inside, it bellows, "KAR Z'WEEB!!"

It would be able to get Eramay's surface thoughts easily enough, so I say yes to code phrase

As everyone enters the room, the screams of the bound "patients" echo hideously in the smallish lab. Inside the glass vats the monstrosities within boil and turn as they grow unnaturally and take form. Some already push against the confines of glass and tubing. It won't be long before they are simply too large and break free.

Aaog-Shagga moves the furthest in and peers through the open doorway. Beyond a large room awaits.

What Aaog-Shagga sees:
Like a cathedral forged in the name of science, this laboratory has an arched ceiling that soars to a height of fifty feet. The room constricts near the middle where a low, stepped platform formally partitions the two halves. To the north, a narrow metal walkway hugs the walls about five feet above the open workspace. To both the east and west, the walkway terminates in twenty-foot ladders that lead to higher observation decks. Easily three labs’ worth of tables, shelves, and other heavy equipment hovers thirty feet off the floor, suspended by chains. Beyond to the south, lies a circular, elevated platform with a curving set of stairs. A single monstrous creature clad in a fancy white lab coat stands on that far platform amidst a pile of debris that turns and shakes.

From that next room, an ominous voice speaks.

"You have made it here, foolhardy souls, but it is here that you will surely die." Soon after, he reads from a scroll and becomes very blurry.

Falth quickly incants and moves through the bewildered flesh piles. When he reaches the inside of the large room, he can see it clearly and fires once at the creature, missing completely to the left as it dodges the arrow.

room description again for ease of use, with one bit of new info (italic) now that you are inside:
Like a cathedral forged in the name of science, this laboratory has an arched ceiling that soars to a height of fifty feet. The room constricts near the middle where a low, stepped platform formally partitions the two halves. To the north, a narrow metal walkway hugs the walls about five feet above the open workspace. A control panel highlights the northern wall.

Aaog skitters to the next room and removes the spider's Bull Strength. Falth hears his last utterance over the din of battle.

For Falth's eyes only:

Thrice sworn by Aroden's mercy

Thrice sworn by Aroden's mercy

Thrice sworn by Aroden's mercy

The words Aaog-Shogga just spoke echo in Falth's mind. Falth's thoughts turn immediately to destruction, fueled by his betrayal at the hands of those who only knew him as Experiment #44.

Mechanically The tiefling Falth carries a subliminal directive triggered by the code phrase "Thrice sworn by Aroden's mercy". If someone speaks this code phrase when Falth can hear it, he enters a state of furious destruction for 3 rounds. His deadly weather domain ability is automatically triggered, and all critical threats in this area are automatically confirmed. Once during this period, Falth can cast shatter (CL 8th, DC 15) as a move action. At the end of this period, these effects and any active judgment he has immediately end.

Thestil disappears in a cloud of smoke and reappears inside the room (to the furthest spot she could see) in similar fashion. The final vat breaks open and another fleshy blob rolls out onto the floor, filling up the back of the room.

Zurnzal has seen enough and begins to pound on the one in his way. After his barrage it falls limp and spasms on the floor. With a wave of his staff, Rataji blasts the back of the room with a caustic ball of acid, melting the oozes severely. Unfazed by the explosion behind her, Shorihaj drinks her potion.

The remaining fleshes lurch forward to embrace Zurnzal. One connects across his arm, but he yanks it away before it attaches fully.

"Two, fifteen down, please." Kar Zaweeb says mechanically to no one at all.

He then laughs at the group assembling in front of him. "Finally you are brave enough to stop negating my spells and face me with courage." With that he forces out another spell that covers Falth and Thestil in a greyish web teeming with thousands of miniature spiders. Thestil quickly realizes it was nothing more than an illusion, but Falth succumbs and instantly feels nauseous from the frenzied arachnid activity. Of course, to the rest of you , there is no web, and no spider swarms. After casting, Zaweeb leaps up onto a lab bench platform that is somehow lowering to a 15 foot height for him. Simultaneously, a burst of acid erupts from a pair of eyes that manifest hazily in the pile of refuse on the dais and spirals toward Aaog-Shagga's feet, burning the two at the door as they scatter from its impact.

I've indicated the positions of all the elevated platforms in grey. Those without numbers are 30' off the ground and do not prevent ground movement (yet, <evil laugh>).
