Marnarius carefully checks around the doors for any kind of traps. Then steps back toward the hall way and draws the heavy flail he had retrieved from the vaults. He pulls a small, dark glass vial from within his cloak and gingerly pops the cork. Holding the vial above the head of the flail, he turns out the contents onto the gilded lion's head - a thick, viscous substance with a dangerous purple coloration. He uses the cork to spread the poison onto the lion's bared teeth and spiked mane, then carefully recorks and stows the vial and hangs the flail from him belt, where can grab it quickly. He draws his bow, nocks an arrow, and nods to the others, signaling that he is ready to begin the attack.

Perception for traps: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Applying one dose of Deathblade poison to the heavy flail, then drawing Marnarius' bow. Marnarius is in position.

Gazwyrn snarls silently and positions himself just outside the doorway. Anxious for the battle to begin, he controls himself for the moment.

These creatures have gotten this far, it's only right for me to trust they know what they're doing.

Ready

Shohiraj checks the doors alongside Marinarius. Drawing a potion and holding it in her off hand ready to drink she acknowledges Marinarius' nod.

Being that close to the door, you both can hear a buzzing hum coming from within the room beyond. Shohiraj spots the edge of a paper card covering the other side of the mail slot when she cracks it open ever so slightly.

That's odd. I suppose Aram wants me to open the slot all the way up and read the nasty explosive runes that are so obviously written on the card. Imbecile. she thinks.

322 touches Marnarius and Shohiraj on the shoulder, applying Shield of Faith, and then focuses, darkening her shadowy cloak back to its earlier power, and expanding her inky transcluent wings.

Cast Shield of Faith on both of them, refresh both Cloak and Wings of Darkness if needed. If possible, I'd also like to throw some Dust of Darkness on Marnarius right before we enter.

Shohiraj points out the trap to Marinarius and shows him how with a twist of the wrist you can fold the paper so that there is no danger of the runes being read. Knowledge shared, and who knows when we'll be working again and I'll need to rely on his skills.

Marnarius watches Shohiraj's demonstration closely and nods along to show his understanding of the fluid motion she uses to disarm the trap. Within his mind, however, he is completely amazed by the rogue's display of talent. If this is her skill in disarming traps, he thinks, I certainly wouldn't want to face her in a fight! Very impressive.

Careful not to ignite the runes on the card, Shohiraj spends an extended bit of time to make the door safe to open. When she is done and all your buffs are ready, the doors open wide into the library.

This tall library is ringed by a walkway around its perimeter, which provides access to a second level of towering bookshelves. A broad Qadiran rug leads to a short pedestal within a tall glass case that itself sits within an inscribed circle—all cordoned off by a velvet rope suspended by brass poles. A strange armillary pulses with energy from atop the pedestal. Several plush chairs and a few low tables bearing curiosities and curios line the lower floor, and two decorative suits of armor stand at attention, each with a crossbow resting against its shoulder. Heatless torches blaze with remarkably even light in sconces throughout the room, and a tall pendulum clock on the eastern wall ticks each passing second.

The staircases each ascend ten feet to the walkway above, and a railing helps prevent distracted scholars from accidentally toppling over the side. Just west of each statue is a tall mirror in a decorative frame.

Shohiraj immediately realizes there are bolts that will activate from either wall if the floor is stepped on right in front of the doors. red square

As the doors open, a man in green-blue robes paces along the balcony at the far edge of the room. A golden rod hangs from his belt and he carries a wand and a dagger in his hands.

"I've been expecting you. It certainly took you long enough." His voice echoes in the cavernous hall.

Shohiraj calls out a warning "don't step on the floor until 10' past me" then she drinks for the vial she was holding.
Now displaced for 5 rounds

"Agreed!" growls Gazwyr. Taking flight, he soars into the room towards the stranger.

322 nods at Shohiraj and bats her large black wings, floating above the floor and moving into view of Zey.

Marnarius kicks off so he hovers just a few inches off the ground, then uses the power of the magical flight granted by Rataji's spell to move into the room. Once he passes the doorway, he begins to rise in elevation while he continues forward, eventually ending up just on the door's side of the roped off area in the center of the room and floating about 20ft off the ground, giving him the higher elevation over Zay. Marnarius raises his bow and launches an arrow across the room at the Society's Master of Scrolls. "Take this, you Pathfinder bastard!"

It's a surprise round, so you can't both move and attack.

Oops! Missed that it was a surprise round. Thanks for catching that, Rataji. In that case, I'll just cut out the attack. So that's a single move.

Rataji hastens the party and they take flight. Shohiraj drinks her potion and becomes very blurry.

"My patience is running out. Attack me and find your doom!"

Aram squeals as he blasts the dragon with a sickly green ray as Gazwyr approaches. Gazwyr suddenly feels weaker as he flies. 4 points Strength damage However, strangely something doesn't seem right to Gazwyr.

Marnarius closely watches the Master of Scrolls as he shoots a magical ray at Gazwyr. Seems like he's baiting us. Better keep my distance for now. The slayer flies a bit closer, but makes sure to avoid the strangely glowing circle inscribed in the center of the room. He raises his bow, takes careful aim, and launches an arrow at the head spell caster of the Pathfinder Society.

Swift action studied target on Zey. Move action to fly 30 ft diagonally. Attack.

Technically, it could be Gazwyr's turn first if we all delay behind him and nothing about the initiative would be affected.

Rataji casts a spell (telekinetic charge) hurling himself over the trap pointed out by Shohiraj to the far end of the carpet. He then moves toward the corner of the room looking all around with see invisibility as he does so. If he spots Zey, he'll yell directions to Gazwyr and the others.

Rataji launches himself into the room. As he alights, he scans for the real Aram Zey (prompted by Gazwyr's warning). Sure enough, the real Aram Zey (and several mirror images) stands motionless, almost catatonic, on the balcony directly above the entrance to the room. Rataji gleefully shouts out directions to the group, but none of the rest of you can see (or sense) him. Marnarius takes a wild shot at the spot Rataji indicated and it pings off the shelving.

The dragon flies back towards the balcony, taking a deep breath as he does so. Upon reaching the entrance he exhales forcefully, expelling a cone of acid ungulfing the entire balcony over the doorway.

Upon expelling the green slime, he hollers out "Over here?? Did I get him??"

322 floats up as high as needed to see the spot Rataji indicated, then stares in the area and pulls her hand into her chest, watching as the image stretches into the void.

I'm not sure how and if I can dispel his mirror images or if it would just be one image. I'll make the check either way.

322, unfortunately you have to be able to see your target to cast a targeted dispel magic on him.

Shohiraj awkwardly flies a little forward then up and back on to the balcony where Gazwyr sprayed acid.
As she lands she readies her sap alert to the signs and sounds of spell casting.

I may well provoke an AoO, and ready an action to attack a non-ally casting a spell - even with the miss chance seems worth a shot!

322 instead tries to toss a dagger at the area Rataji indicated.

Aram's eyes open just as Gazwyr spins toward him and unleashes a mordant blast. He shakes it off, waves a hand in front of the newly arrived Shohiraj and smiles. 322's dagger smacks into the wall next to his head. He quickly leaps off the balcony and flies away from everyone (to a position about 15 feet above the couch) and speaks calmly.

"An acid dragon, eh? I have something in store for you. But first, let's get rid of your eyes."

Aram then turns to Rataji and casts a spell. Rataji sees Aram disappear from view again as his spell is dispelled (See Invisibility).

Fly 20ft diagonally. Perception check to see If I can locate Aram to get an idea where to shoot. Prepare an action to shoot my bow if I locate him.

Blindsense lets you automatically determine which square an invisible creature is in without a perception check. They still gain total concealment against an attack normally. In this case, you spot the square yell out, Rataji uses the glitterdust then everyone attacks the thing they can see.

Rataji is able to place the glitterdust with Gazwyr's quick guidance. Aram Zey and all his images are now visible floating 15 feet above the couch. Maranrius turns and shoots at the cadre of Aram's. One of the images disappears. Gazwyr follows suit with a soaring bite and another image vanishes.

Rataji's thoughts upon seeing the glittering Zey, Is he trying to get glitter out of his eyes? I think he is. Hahahahahaha.

Seeing Aram outlined clearly Shohiraj leaps into the air, her uneasiness with flight evident, but nevertheless moves into position behind the pathfinder spellcaster and strikes while she can, aiming to knock him off balance.

322 reduces his images to nothingness. Shohiraj leaps to attack and strikes hard. As she does so, she realizes his skin is much tougher than she thought and worse than that, a jolt of energy courses through her body and she drops her weapon. stunned from stunning barrier

Aram casts a spell that makes him appear very blurred and offset, then draws a wand, shakes his head and looks at you all.

"Well, I guess this will take some effort. Prepare to die, then."

322 shuts her eyes and a ghostly hand appears from her palm. Taking a step back from Zey, she winces as some of her life is drained with the creation of the spectral hand.

Gazwyr snarls "We'll feast on your corpse this day mage!" Snapping out with this sharp teeth, drool flying through the air, he lunges at the villain. Claws flying forward as his strong wings buffet the area with cyclones.

Marnarius launches a quick volley of arrows at the spellcaster, then drifts over a few feet and drops his bow, drawing his newly-acquired flail.

Shohiraj plummets to the ground. Rataji irritates Aram with his ear piercing scream as Marnarius fires a set of arrows to no avail, then rearms to fight closer. Gazwyr tears into the mage, connecting with only one of his myriad blows, yet it doesn't seem to fully penetrate Aram's magically hardened skin. 322 prepares her spectral hand in the distance.

322 instead of the fly check to hover, you could simply move half your speed to keep flying, if not you will fall to the ground. Also, I'm not exactly clear how high you are off the ground currently.

Aram laughs at the Dragon. "Is that it? I mean, really, whoever sent you should be ashamed."

With that he concentrates and forces out a burst of electricity toward the dragon, that connects with him strongly and then arcs to the rest of you in the room. Shohiraj regains her senses just in time to roll away from the bolt. The rest of you burn and crackle, only slightly protected by your resistant spell.

Shohiraj reaches for her sap and picks it up then launches herself into the air placing herself with a vicious grin right next to Zey.
"It'll take more than a little jolt like that to take me out of the fight"

move action to pick up sap, move action to fly straight up - I'm kind of assuming my orientation doesn't matter if I'm flying so I don't need to move to stand up? Also I will provoke from moving into position.

I never really said what height I'd fly at but I'd like to be aligned with Zey vertically.

322 envisions a voodoo doll of Aram Zey in her hand and stabs it with her dagger, sending her spectral hand to touch him and deliver the spell.
