Yes, I'm still on my honeymoon for a couple more days. But we hiked to the summit of a mountain the other day and were (understandably) too tired to do much else that night so I decided to get a few games set up. Also, we had wifi. The place we're at now doesn't even have electricity except a few solar lights and cell signal is terrible but we're in Christchurch for the day so I thought I'd check in.


Hey there everyone. I have a couple different characters I could bring, and was wondering who you thought would be more helpful.

I've been thinking about an investigator/gunslinger myself. Essentially trying to make Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks.

I've got a future PFS investigator modeled after Dirk Gently from Douglas Adams' books. He'll have the spiritualist archetype but other than that I haven't decided much about how he will perform in combat or be effective other than mildly entertaining roleplay. I might multiclass with one of the occult classes but haven't decided which yet.

@GM Endless,

I have been thinking about more tricks to apply in our current predicament. After doing some reading on the PFS boards, I didn’t realize you can apply Pathfinder Tales boons to ALL of your PCs.

There is a boon from the Pathfinder Tales novel: Queen of Thorns, which I own a copy of (and could prove to you somehow if necessary) that would be handy …

Insights of the Shadowless Sword (Tales: Queen of Thorns):
As a swift action, you gain the benefits of haste for two rounds (CL 10th).

I have used the +1 arrows on this Chronicle sheet already for Luisila (The Tales Boon is in her profile). Would it be OK for me to use the spoilered boon for Eadie?

Really? So if I have a book, that chronicle can be apply to all of my PCs? I didn't know that.

Yep! That's the way the novel chronicles have always worked. Although I'm notoriously bad about using them. I think I have 3-4 novels and at one time printed off a couple dozen copies of those boons to give to each of my characters. I might have used one of them once....

Hey, not bad at all! Did you find the figure a bit fragile? I had a friend order one of the more detailed ones and the arm broke off like it was nothing.

thanks! yes, they are very fragile, my husband's figure lost it's head... we are in the process of reattaching, and Lore's sword fell off and had to glue it back on... not sure how to protect it from now on... sad because I wanted one of the ones with that awesome chain weapon - won't order that now because of the fragility.

I'm not much of a miniature person but I've seen a lot of people with painted miniatures keep them in the clear plastic boxes that you buy dice sets in. I also know a guy who is really into it and has a small case lined with foam with an inset for each one.

I usually keep mine in a case lined with foam, but for this figure, I may need to use a plastic dice case to protect that broken sword.

Very nice work on that Lore. I used to paint them (crudely), but then preprinted minis became available. Now I only play PBP so they all collect dust. :-(

Thanks! The fire effects were fairly easy - just three colors of paint (red, orange and yellow, and blended a bit where they met...

This spell fills the area with a brilliant flash of shimmering light.

Creatures in the area are blinded for 1d4 rounds, or dazzled for 1d4 rounds if they succeed at a Reflex save. Evil creatures in the area of the burst take 1d4 points of damage per caster level (max 5d4), whether they succeed at the Reflex save or not.

I like that spell as a combined enemy de-buff/damage dealer. It’s pretty good for a second level spell.

The other cool thing is the damage is untyped – so it affects evil creatures immune to fire.
